This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 24th day of April, 1938, in accordance with request made by the self, through her sister, Miss [307], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 4:40 to 4:50 P. M Eastern Standard Time. …, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

  2. As we find, as has been indicated, some of the bandages have been too taut. And with the undue exercise, there has been the inclination to make for greater disturbing conditions; making them unsatisfactory and those about the body, as well as self, anxious.

  3. Then, we find there will be the necessity of greater precaution in the manner of dressing; and perhaps - not sure as yet - the necessity of other stitches, unless there is the ability to hold same with the adhesive; which apparently would become too taut again, thus disturbing an already weakened and disturbed circulation.

  4. There needs to be the building up of the body, and the lack of anxiety, and the keeping off of the feet until there is at least the healing or the adherence sufficient that there is little or no discharge from the wounds.

  5. And keep in the cheerful attitude.

  6. Ready for questions.

  7. (Q) What is the cause of pain in right groin? (A) This is from the GENERAL conditions, and as we find a hot salt pack would relieve same; heavy salt. This, of course, may be said to be the after effect, with the attempt of the circulation to adjust itself through the limbs themselves, see?

  8. (Q) The dressing of the wounds has been left to the nurses. Would it be preferable to have the physician do this? (A) Have the physician to ATTEND to same for at least the next two or three periods, by all means - and use the greater precaution in the sterilizing, in the purifying of everything about same!

  9. (Q) Of what particular foods should I beware? (A) Any, of course, that tend to be constipating; and those that are tending to produce too great an alkalinity OR acidity.

  10. (Q) How soon should I be able to stand on my feet? (A) As soon as there has been sufficient adherence that there is little or no discharge from the wound.

  11. We are through for the present.
