Born July 26, 1902, in Easton, Penna. Time of Reading 3:55 to 4:40 P. M. Eastern War Time. Washington, D.C.

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: (In going back over years from the present - ” - ‘43 - ‘43 - ‘42 - ‘41 - ‘40 - What changes! - ‘36 - attitudes - ‘34 - ‘27 - new outlooks - ‘25 - ” etc., on back to birth date.)

3. Yes, we are given the records here of that entity now known as or called [3031].

4. In giving the interpretations of the records here, there is much from which to choose. This information we choose from same with the desire and purpose that this may be a helpful experience for the entity; enabling the entity to better fulfill those purposes for which it entered this present sojourn.

5. The entity is among those Atlanteans who first began to enter the material experience for this period, and thus - in common parlance - he will either excel or make a mess of many things!

6. Still the entity’s interest in phenomena, as indicated in urges latent and manifested from the Atlantean experiences, stands as the manifested personality of the present entity.

7. Hence the need, the necessity for the balance that will keep a continuity of purpose in the mental, in the spiritual, in the material things - as may be accomplished by the entity.

8. While there are astrological influences latent and manifested, these are not in the sense as commonly interpreted, - that because of certain positions of the planets, or the sun or the moon, the entity is urged to do this or that. But rather is it that the entity in its activity brought about its relationships to the universal forces as related to those consciousnesses that are at times accredited to the activities in the sun, the moon, Jupiter, Uranus, Mercury, Mars. All of these have a relative position to this particular universe of consciousness known as this particular portion of the solar system.

9. Thus we find, as indicated, Uranus is the extreme, - the interest in the consciousnesses of the occult forces, and their activities related to a diffusion of matter, a diffusion of thought, and the expression of spiritual activity.

10. In Mercury we find the high mental, the reason, the influence as from correlating activities that would bear upon those things as of mechanics; and that find in Mars - not that madness as ordinarily termed, but the intensity, or overactivity in the mental in that as related to the occult, in that as would have to do even with the universal consciousness of the Jupiterian environ as the better forces, also that indicated by the activity of the entity in the Atlantean experience, and the application of spiritual forces in mental and material things.

11. These may be good or bad, as indicated; yet the ideal, the purpose, not merely for knowledge but the ideal rather that it may be of a universal purpose to the good of all and not to the individual or to the few, that they may lord or have advantage over others.

12. As we find, then, these have brought, do bring, those urges that arise from the entity’s activity in the material plane, through other sojourns, even greater expressions of activity than the astrological; though the sojourns of the entity in those consciousnesses during the interims between material appearances give the manner in which the entity reasons, the way the entity may apply; but the clearing house, or the choice, is ever - to be sure - within self.

13. As was said by the lawgiver to a group of individuals, “There is today set before thee good and evil, life and death - Choose thou.”

14. The individual entity becomes conscious of being as a universe, as of that statement being as an unalterable law of the universe, a law of consciousness, a law of awareness. Become aware also that there is that influence which prompted that, or the First Cause, which was of a spiritual or of a universal nature.

15. That other law, - “As a man soweth, that shall he also reap,” and “That ye do to another ye do to thy higher self, thy Lord, thy Maker, or the First Cause,” - these awarenesses must become a part of the consciousness, if there will be the attaining - in the experience of the entity - that which will not turn upon thee and destroy thee in thy undertakings, as it did in the Atlantean experience.

16. All of these bring those forces, then, as awarenesses, as consciousnesses. And thus the abilities of the entity lie the greater in CREATIVE forces in the MENTAL realm.

17. For, with these factors as part of the consciousness, the entity may then draw upon that as may be called “fore and aft,” or the fact that what has been will be again. Or there may be the writings as respecting activity of every form of consciousness dealing with the realm of man’s awareness, - spiritual, mental and material, - and the application or use of same.

18. And keep same in that realm of thought in which there is not self-glorification, nor self-aggrandizement, nor self-indulgence. For, it is the universal - and the glory is to the First Cause. And this shall be as the light or the guide, this should be as that directing the influences of the entity through those activities ever in the earth.

19. As to the appearances in the earth, and those that have the greater to do with the present activity as an influence, - these are not all, but those that may be indicated in the present. For, we find the entity’s activity has EVER been in the earth at the periods of the attempt for a beginning again, as it were.

20. Before this, then, we find that the entity was in the earth during that period following that called the American Revolution.

21. Thus those things that pertain to ideals of man’s existence as in relationship with his fellow man, under chosen direction by individuals or groups that would constitute themselves as willing for such an activity.

22. Through that particular period the entity was not only questioned as to his mode of reason but as to the manner of application. Yet we find the lack of the entity’s awareness through that experience, or in the choice of self, of being classed in that category of those disbelieving in the divinity of those forces manifested. And yet the entity must come to that awareness that each soul, each entity, is divine in its OWN right. And as it applies the more of the universal consciousness it may become as the savior, as the prophet, as one consciously aware of being at one with that Creative Force.

23. Then the entity was known as Tom Paine. In the experience the entity contributed much to the factors having to do with man’s individual thought, as to man’s rights in speech as well as in the form of worship.

24. These are parts of those things held close to the entity in the present, and are well. But forget not the greater things also. For, these must become a part of the awareness throughout those activities in the relationships of one individual with another.

25. Before that the entity was in the Roman land, when there were those influences that caused those in authority to rise or declare against all of those - even in authority - who had proclaimed the name of the Nazarene.

26. Thus there were periods when the persecutions for activities, for beliefs, were a part of the group activity.

27. The entity was among those forced, - by circumstance, as well as by choice, - to contribute to the preparing of means and manners and ways in which such adherents would be tested - and was in the name Loga [?], indicating the manner and way in which those entities - or the entity’s forces - were as an aid to the king in authority during that period. This was the name applied to the entity through that experience.

28. While they were periods of stress, the activities of the entity - while a loss to many - were not all bad, not all good. For, they were the means through which testings were made to the many adherents to those teachings of the Nazarene.

29. Thus we find the entity all the more capable of reading, of writing, of correlating the activities of groups of individuals as pertaining to what may become the moral, political and religious doctrines of groups.

30. And, as the entity is interested in comparative religions, carry it a step further and find thine own in same!

31. Before that the entity was active in that period when there were the journeyings from Egypt to the Promised Land. And the entity was among those who defied the leader, who sat in question as to whether those authorities were only given to one individual or not. And not answered, though as the record is given, destroyed; but not in the way and manner as would be indicated by that character of record presented, but as in the fact of the self being allied with those that did defy - NOT God, but the authority of a man.

32. In that experience the entity followed close with the true tenets of truth, that the law is a universal consciousness and is applicable in the experience of each soul that seeks the truth in his relationship to the Creative Forces, or God - an influence within and without, that must answer by the manner in which ye apply same in your relationships to others.

33. Thus the questions as to the sincerity of individuals or groups, - this oft becomes the measuring stick of the entity in the present.

34. Before that the entity was in the Atlantean land, when there were those periods of activity of the children of the Law of One and the sons of Belial.

35. The entity was in the active service of the children of the Law of One, yet made overtures to the children of Belial, by making concessions for the gaining of knowledge.

36. Knowledge is power, but misapplied - as there - brings material destruction.

37. Knowledge in the material world, applied, is creative or destructive. In that experience the entity misapplied. Hence again and again there come those activities in which there are the attempts ANEW for the recreating of the atmosphere through the mental as the builder, for bringing the oneness of purpose again in the earth.

38. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, that to which it may attain, and how:

39. First, study thyself. Know thy ideal, spiritual, mental, material. Live up to that ye profess.

40. These - through those ways - will lead the entity into those abilities of expression through its writing, through its ability as a director of thought, to that of being a helpful force among the children of men.

41. Ready for questions.

42. (Q) Please give exact time of my physical birth, so my astrologer may use the right degree of ascendancy in continuing to progress my horoscope? (A) Eight-ten [8:10] in the evening.

43. (Q) What specific line of activity should I follow, first to be of service, and second to earn my living? (A) As we find, in that of service AND as a living, eventually must be the writing as the outlet for the greater opportunity - and lecturing; keeping that which is the present activity through the present emergency.

44. (Q) Identify the two, possibly three figures, which I have at various times seen - and sensed - in my aura? (A) Maya [?] and Mova [?].

45. (Q) What clue is there to my not marrying in this life? (A) Considering the experiences of the entity in the earth in the former appearances, we find this is one of those things that has brought - even from the Atlantean period - the questioning of relationships with the opposite sex. Consider this also in the light of thy experience as Paine, as well as Loga [?], as well as in the brother - or an associate - to Moses.

46. (Q) Should I adopt children? (A) This would be well, when you have found your own self.

47. (Q) Where should I establish my foundation point after the war is over? In America and in foreign countries? (A) Close to thine own home, or thy birth place, in America. In foreign countries - these will be changed; but Egypt as well as portions of Yucatan should be the searching places for the entity.

48. (Q) What languages? (A) Those that may be in line with that needed in those activities, that ye are to use there.

49. (Q) What advice have you concerning my mathematical psychology book, the translation, and the movie script? (A) This work is well begun, and we will find much use of this may be made in the reclamation after this war.

50. (Q) Should I bother with writing? (A) This should be the main outlet.

51. (Q) What have been my past associations with the following, and how may the urges be used in the present to our mutual advantage? First, Harriett […]? (A) As we find, in the journeys from Egypt to the Holy Land. There the companion.

52. (Q) The Duke of Windsor? (A) This we find in the same experience, though in quite a different activity; as well as in the Atlantean experience.

53. (Q) My mother, […]? (A) In the experience before this, as well as in the Palestine - or the journeys to the Palestine land.

54. We are through for the present.

MAN CLAIMS DISCOVERY OF TOM PAINE’S GRAVE

TIVOLI, N.Y. (UPI) - A state highway worker Sunday claimed to have uncovered the long-lost grave of patriot Thomas Paine while installing a septic system on his Dutchess County property.

Jack McNeil said that he discovered the 7-foot tombstone during excavation Saturday on his 4-acre property.

The marble marker, found lying on its side under 3 feet of dirt, read, “In memory of Thomas Paine, who was born in Thetford, England, Jan. 29, 1737, died at New York June 8, 1809 72 years old, 4 months, 9 days,” McNeil said.

Paine, a corset maker from England, penned the treatise “Common Sense,” which many historians claim was the single greatest influence in the American colonies’ break from England. During the revolution, he wrote “The America Crisis” papers, credited with bolstering the spirits of American soldiers and civilians.

After the revolution, the State of New York gave him a farm at New Rochelle in Westchester County - about 100 miles from the NcNeil property. His home there has been turned into a museum.

McNeil, a highway equipment operator, said that when he started to clean off the tablet and uncovered the name, it rang a bell. He said that his wife and two children looked up Paine in the World Book encyclopedia and discovered that he died on a farm in New Rochelle.

He said further inquiries showed that Paine was buried in New Rochelle in 1809, then his body was dug up and sent back to England. But because of his reputation as an American firebrand, authorities there refused to accept the body and it was returned to the states to an unknown destination.

“When we moved in about 15 years ago, some neighbors told us about some graves out back…but we never thought about it much until we found them near the hemlock tree, putting in the septic system,” the 38-year-old McNeil said.

He said talks with neighbors convinced him the tombstones were pushed over about 50 years ago by a farmer named Jesse Rockefeller, whose wife wouldn’t move onto the property with the graves there.

“Still, that’s a long time that no one discovered them,” he said, adding, “I guess it shows that people don’t pay much mind to tombstones unless it’s family or someone you go to visit - I sure don’t.”

The timing of the discovery during the country’s Bicentennial year is “quite a nice coincidence,” McNeil agreed.

His plans for the tombstone include moving it to safety - he said he had already received two crank calls about the possible treasure - and getting historical experts to authenticate it and possibly dig for the body.

“Then I sure hope somebody’s interested in buying it,” McNeil said.
