This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 16th day of August, 1933, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [304], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mildred Davis and Mr. [304].]
Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [304]; this we have had before.
-
Now, as we find, under the general condition that arises from disorders of the nature outlined or described for the body, the progress is very good; and more than ordinarily satisfactory under conditions of this nature, especially when the general condition is considered and the abuses of the physical organs and their functionings that have existed - and from which the effects are naturally entailed in the existent conditions.
-
But, as we have given, it is much better for the abrasions to be outside than inside; and there has been too close attention to the outside with too little to the inside. Hence the aggravation to the lymph circulation and the muco-membranes’ activity through such circulation under the existent condition.
-
For, pellagra is not cured in a day - if ever!
-
Then, in meeting the conditions in the present - while we would not leave off altogether those applications that have been given, as abrasions arise they may be met with those applications given WHEN they produce such irritation as to become over-troublesome to the body; see?
-
We would take those things that clarify the intestinal system, or that we have given as being more effective with these conditions.
-
The only addition that we would give would be olive oil taken internally, small quantities often being more beneficial and effective than large quantities. And, as we find, it would be rather as an intestinal and muco-membrane food to the system at the present.
-
Do not overeat; do not unbalance the diets as to cause the irritations in the directions indicated. While it will be found oftentimes that the diet which would be helpful or beneficial to the infectious forces in the lymph of the system (this includes, of course, capillary as well as internal circulation) would be harmful to the bronchi and the condition in the lung [His long standing asthma and bronchitis] - but these have to be considered in their entirety, and change according to the conditions as they arise.
-
If the body can assimilate a gallon of oil in a day, take it! but it’ll be more apt to be a tablespoonful, taken in four or five drops at a time!
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Should he continue with the Milk of Magnesia and Bismuth? (A) Hasn’t it just been given that those properties should be taken internally, consistently, as needed? Use judgement with it, to be sure. Take those things given for the internal forces.
As for the exterior forces, to drive same in is to suffer internally - as given; while that given for the exterior is to prevent same from becoming or forming into scabs over various portions of the body, see? but to CONTINUE to use same, driving it in, is to produce irritations to an already irritated membrane!
-
(Q) Is this condition in any way infectious or contagious? (A) Both!
-
(Q) Any specific precaution or warning? (A) Only the use of those things or materials that do not come in contact with others in the same sort of use. These should be kept separate.
-
That is all the questions.
-
We are through for the present.
