-
EC: Yes, we have the body, [304].
-
Conditions as we find, while serious, taking those precautions for the proper eliminations, giving the stimulation from Calcidin - three to five grains dissolved in warm water, an ounce of same - and a sip given every few hours, will stimulate.
-
If there is the necessity for the relief of pain, as we find Salicon - two tablets - would be preferable; as this would work better with the respiratory system; stimulating the circulation and producing more temperature but of the nature that would be the more helpful as a sedative.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) The Compound Silosan? (A) Salicon - S-a-l-i-c-o-n. Silosan would not be good here.
-
(Q) Any further advice? (A) We would keep those things that have been indicated for the lower limbs to keep the body quiet and as free from pain as possible. This is as much as can be done now.
-
(Q) What has caused present condition? (A) A breaking up of the areas, as has been indicated, where there is the general debilitating, the lack of the strength and vitality to the body.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 4/6/37 Daughter [243]‘s wire: “Swept out completely by fire today. [340] and Dad slightly burned. No insurance.”
R2. 4/9/37 Son’s ltr.: “On the 6th I had Sister [243]‘s wire about the fire and called them on the phone. Dad had side of face burned pretty bad, and as he has not been able to get about, Sister [340] and the lady that helped her got him down the stairs - they were in an upstairs apt. Both got scorched and they did not save a rag - only that on their backs. Happened luckily about nine or ten in the morning, else it might have gotten them all.”
R3. 4/9/37 Mr. [304]‘s ltr.: “I am afraid it will be a poor attempt to write but I have put it off so long now. I am not capable, as you have no doubt heard. Last Tuesday, the 6th, we had a very bad experience. I was sitting in my usual chair, everybody out, down on the lower floor, except the colored woman who was there to clean house and she was across the hall. She screamed ‘FIRE!’ I immediately threw covers off me and came right out and for the door. The fire met me as soon as I left my room, singed my hair, blistered my scalp, my ears and neck, and they are very sore now. Daughter [340] met me near the hall door, went with me to steps and met Mrs […] [the lady downstairs] and they assisted me to lower floor. Then the firemen carried me to next door, and later here to Daughter [482]‘s.”
R4. 4/9/37 P.M. EC gave rdg. 304-49 requested by daughter, Miss [243], over phone; which rdg. indicated the end was near.
