This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 10th day of June, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self through friend - Dr. Victoria A. Harriss, new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes - yes, we have the body here.

3. This is a very serious disorder, yet we should be able to give relief to this body.

4. As we find, the first causes of this are a tending toward atrophy, or clogging and hardening, of the activity in the tubes in the pelvic organs; as combined, then, with the activity of the whole glandular system.

5. Thus the effect to the organs of the central system. These, as indicated, have been showing that the lymph circulation forms a hardening, or crystallizing; thus producing some forms of irritation through the pelvic organs, through the affecting of the kidney activity, through the general eliminations, through almost losing consciousness - sinking spells at times.

6. We find that the better aid may be given this body through these administrations, and if there is the response keep these up, - with the purifying of the alimentary canal, and the giving of strengthening foods; as beef juice as medicine, giving every hour half a teaspoonful, but let this amount be just sipped.

7. Begin with the use of the ultra-violet ray (only the Mercury light, not the carbon light). But do use the green glass between the light and the body. Give this about every other day, until we get some reaction. Have the ultra-violet at least forty-eight inches (48”) from the body, and the green glass (8X10 or 10X12) at least fourteen inches (14”) from the body. This changes the therapeutic reaction of the radiation produced in body activity, by the color. This should be applied every other day for about twenty minutes, you see, if used at these ranges, and with the green glass.

8. Following this give the body not a stimulating osteopathic adjustment, but a relaxing treatment - from about the 6th dorsal to the end of the spine; with particular reference to relieving or relaxing the pressure around the coccyx end of the spine.

9. As we will find, that pressure on the left side of the 3rd cervical, and at opposite side of the coccyx - holding these pressures at the same time, you see - will relax the body. This done two, three, four times a day, will give the body relief.

11. When there are those disturbances in the area of the upper part of kidney, apply - across the back - Glyco-Thymoline packs. Use two to three thicknesses of cotton cloth, or toweling, soaked with the Glyco-Thymoline. The oils in this, as well as the tendency for the relaxing of the tissue through the body, will produce a therapeutic reaction not only in the body-forces where the atrophied conditions tend to be, but will relieve the tensions also - and produce activities.

14. (Q) What is the relation of the present condition to her condition which made her so ill on Dec. 23, 1942? (A) We haven’t December 23! We have conditions as they exist now, and as we have indicated this is from old disturbances - from conditions produced in glandular forces following menopause.

As indicated, the tubes did not drain or cleanse themselves, and this - while not forming irritation, save by the hardening - has produced inflammation through other parts, as well as the in this portion of the body.

Do these things suggested, as we find. They offer the better opportunity for relief.

15. We are through for the present.

Dear Mr. Cayce:-

I have your spl. air mail this A.M. & wish to express my appreciation for this reading. It seems to fit in perfectly. I have felt all along the lymph channels were impaired somewhere along the lime.

She has had no sinking spells nor near unconsciousness - this is the only part of your reading which does not fit - tho under conditions, as I see them, I have been expecting coma at any time. She is very mentally alert, and like a tight wire.

I HAVE been since bringing her home giving the relaxation to the lower spine which has healed a very bad bed sore in that area. I will write more at length later for your files, but there is a question or two regarding treatment. For instance, should the beef juice be administered night & day?

How long should pressure be exerted over 3rd cervical vertebra & coccyx?

Regarding Glyco-Thymoline packs over kidney area - how long & how often is this to be done.

The reading did not indicate the above & will begin treatment at once - in fact, she has had the beef juice thru the day thus far already - the lamp - I will pick up on way home & have the Glyco-Thymoline & of course I can see the osteo nerve centers thru which the work must be done.

I had to write to New Jersey for the green glass you indicate as it was not known here.

You do not say what kind of reaction to expect from the light treatment. I should know.

I will follow instructions implicitly & will report in a few days. Please let me have answers to above questions, if possible.

I know that through your power to vision for others, you have helped many people. I hope you will find the time and also feel that my case is worthy of your help.

I got your name and address from Dr. Victoria Harriss of Kansas City and know from her how you helped a case [3045] that to me and everyone else seemed like a miracle that woman got well. She is even able to work some now. I have known both Dr. Harriss and the woman [3045] who was helped for a number of years.

B2. 5/15/43 “Many doctors, those who make an attempt at a diagnosis, just give her a blood transfusion, which lasts 2 or 3 weeks, and say that is all they can do.”

B3. 6/1/43 Letter from her physician and friend, Dr. Victoria A. Harriss: The “big shots” in this town of many smart doctors have scratched their heads over this case, and I doubt if any one of them has definitely convinced himself as to the cause, nature and present status of the case. (About all that has been done is many x-ray pictures and the bronchioscope, also the kidneys have been pyclogramed. Otherwise only transfusions…7…have been given, and iron. No drugs nor other tests have been administered.)
