GC: You will answer the questions regarding this body as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3081].
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) My face and neck are still breaking out in pimples. What can be done to clear this up entirely? (A) There should be more consistency in following those suggestions indicated. For, the osteopathic manipulations to be made were to set up drainages not to stimulate circulation.
Also we would take internally to set up better drainages a compound prepared in this manner:
Sulphur…1 level tablespoonful, Rochelle Salts…1 level tablespoonful, Cream of Tartar…1 level tablespoonful.
Mix these thoroughly together; this means with mortar and pestle.
Take a half a teaspoonful of this mixture in a glass of water each morning before any meal is taken. Keep this up until the whole quantity has been used.
Keep up the rest of those suggestions indicated.
The adjustments may be made.
But do not give stimulating treatments; give light relaxing treatments - and it will be better for the body.
-
(Q) Is milk good for me? (A) As the body doesn’t like milk, drink those compounds - or malted milk would be better for the body.
-
(Q) What is causing my eyes to hurt and smart at times? (A) If the stimulations are left off and the relaxations are given, we will have less trouble with these, this comes from conditions resulting from pressure of irritation from the kidney areas.
-
(Q) What causes me to belch so much at times and have gas in stomach? (A) These will be eliminated when the eliminations are set up.
-
(Q) My hair is getting very thin and beginning to turn gray. What can be done to correct this? (A) Use vaseline as a massage in the hair; cleansing with a tar soap.
If you will do these, we will find better conditions for this body of [3081].
- We are through with this reading.

R1. 9/28/43 Miss [3081]‘s letter to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Mr. Cayce:
I received my check reading given August 31st. Have taken the compound mixture and also another series of osteopathic treatments and have kept up the rest of the suggestions and hate to say, but my skin is still breaking out in pimples.
Could you possibly suggest something else that might help this skin condition. If you think I should have another check reading please give me your earliest possible date. Will mail check when I hear from you. Am willing to try anything to get results.
Sincerely, (Miss) [3081]
R2. 10/4/43 EC’s letter to Miss [3081]:
Miss [3081] …, Maryland
Dear Miss [3081]
Thank you for yours of the 28th. I am sorry indeed to hear that you are still having so much trouble. I don’t want you to pay for the next check reading. I don’t know how soon I can get it. It will be some later time, but I don’t like this business. You must indeed have a very stubborn case. I believe the very first time I can possibly make it is the afternoon of November 20, 3:30 to 4:30 EWT. Get a lot of questions together and let your doctor make some also. There must be something wrong somewhere, either in the application of the suggestion, or the combination of the mixtures given for you. Be sure to let me know where you will be at that hour. Get all your questions to me before the time.
I do hope we may be the means of a real service.
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC/vw
R3. 10/11/43 Miss [3081]‘s letter to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Mr. Cayce:
Yours of October 4th at hand.
I am enclosing check for $10.00. I want to pay you for this check-reading as I know that you have done everything that is possible for me and I am not blaming you for not getting any results. The trouble probably lies with me.
The afternoon of November 20th, 3:30-4:30 EWT, will suit me fine. I will send questions later.
Thanking you, I am
Sincerely, (Miss) [3081]
R4. 11/12/43 Miss [3081]‘s letter to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Mr. Cayce:
My check-reading is scheduled for November 20th and I will be at the appointed hour (3:30 to 4:30 EWT) at …
The following is a list of questions:
- What is still causing my face and neck to break out in pimples and what can be done to cure this completely?
- Has the compound been properly prepared and is it being taken correctly?
- Were the second series of osteopathic treatments given as suggested?
- What can I do to get rid of the large open pores on my face?
- What is causing my complexion to become so dark and sallow looking? It’s rather a peculiar color. What can I do to clear this up?
- I have been unable for the past month to get any more raw milk to be taken with Acigest. Could you suggest a substitute that I could take that would benefit me as much as the raw milk and Acigest?
- What is causing these awful headaches? That is the pains and pressure on top and side of head. What can be done to correct this?
- What is causing superfluous hair to grow on my face and what can I do to remove the hair permanently?
Thanking you, I am
Sincerely, (Miss) [3081]
