This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 28th day of July, 1943, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. […], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., through her friend Miss [3667].

At the Gundry Training Time of Reading School (with her 3:20 to 3:30 P. M. Eastern War Time. mother), in Falls Church, Va.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes - yes - we have the body here.

3. As we find, there may be a great deal of help for this body. This is the bungle of the doctor, not of this soul-entity. Someone must eventually pay, much, for this.

4. In the conditions here, it will require long and patient application, but this should be under a different environment as soon as practical, and MAKE it practical as soon as plausible.

5. Those that minister may gain a great deal in spirit, and in understanding, as they minister here to this body, [3117].

6. True, there are adhesions, and there is the lack of the circulation through portions of the brain. But this is at the beginning of a cycle for body change. Each atom may be changed within seven years. If there are those interested in contributing to this, BEGIN. If you are not interested in doing it for fourteen, don’t commence!

7. As to the applications necessary:

8. Only prayer, and the vibrations of Gold Chloride to the body-forces, and massage.

9. The Gold should be applied vibratorially in the main part, through the Wet Cell Appliance. Do not, for this body, use an Appliance that is used on any OTHER body, EVER! For it has its OWN vibration, and those may name themselves fortunate or blessed even to attain to the care and the spiritual outlook for this body.

10. Attach the Appliance each day for one hour, preferably when the body is ready to retire. The large attachment plate through which the Gold Solution passes vibratorially (in the proportions of one grain Chloride of Gold to each ounce of Distilled Water - and use at least three ounces) would be attached to the umbilical and lacteal duct plexus. The small copper plate would be attached at the 9th dorsal.

11. During the period that the Appliance is attached, make it the hour of prayer and meditation, reading to the body of the love that Jesus had for little children, and that in them is the hope of the world.

12. The massage should be given immediately following the use of the Appliance, and must be very carefully administered, very persistently - always away from the head. Use only Peanut Oil. Begin with the very first cervical, gently, massaging on each side of each segment, downward, even to the toe tips, along each side of the spine - especially the left side of the body.

13. We will gradually see relaxing, we will see the change in the hearing, the ability to speak, the vision - these will come first.

14. We are through for the present.

R1. 8/11/43 [3667]‘s report: ”…Immediately upon my return (from Virginia Beach) I sent the money and directions to Mr. Godfrey and today we received letters saying that both machines were shipped yesterday - so within a few days the treatment will be underway on Miss [3118] and [3117]. Both the mother and father cried with delight when they read the reading on the child and the mother has given up a fine position to remain at home in order to carry out the essential care. The child is being brought home from the training school on the 15th inst. and I shall assist with the massage and treatments in both cases…”

R2. 8/27/43 [3667]‘s report: “We are in trouble. The Peanut Oil prescribed as a massage lubricant for the child [3117], has given her a bad dermatitis (skin eruption) so severe that the child cries with pain and the area affected looks “burned” and even “peeled”. We have been forced to discontinue the massage and knowing that this is a most vital part of her treatment we wish to know what to do about it. Will you be good enough to advise us how to meet this problem? We believe so utterly in the “Reading” that we hesitate to subscribe something without consulting you…”

R3. 9/1/43 EC’s letter: “I have yours of the 27th. I would mix Olive Oil with the Peanut Oil about equal portions and if you have as much as 2 ounces of each, add a teaspoonful of lanolin. This comes as an ointment. Dissolve by heating. I believe this will keep down the rash for the little girl…”

R4. 9/16/43 [3667]‘s report: ”…We are working so hard with [3117] and she is already responding. However, again and again we read where Peanut Oil is all important in restoring paralysis or rather paralyzed parts to normal, yet we cannot use Peanut Oil on this child without her developing a severe skin condition. Can’t you please slip in a question at some other reading asking how we are doing and what we can give the child that will permit her to tolerate a good rubbing daily with the Peanut Oil as prescribed in the reading? Could you but know the trust and work of that mother and father over their child and the glorious faith they have in Mr. Cayce’s remarkable gift I am sure that both you and he would contrive to ask that question for us. …Don’t you see that no other Oil can do for paralysis what Peanut Oil does and we must find a way to use it freely on [3117].”

R5. 9/18/43 GD’s letter: “Regarding [3117]‘s rub with Peanut Oil and the resulting skin irritation: The readings have already told us in innumerable cases that where irritation is caused there should be other ingredients added; for instance, add Olive Oil and Lanolin to the Peanut Oil in these proportions: Peanut Oil - 2 ozs., Olive Oil - 1 oz.; Lanolin (liquified) - 1 teaspoonful. Also do not rub the body too hard - just give a gentle massage, allowing the oil to be absorbed as much as possible. As the skin gets back to normal then decrease the other ingredients so as to use more and more of the Peanut Oil… The Reading specified ONLY Peanut Oil in her case for the simple reason that it is PEANUT OIL that she needs; however, the other oils won’t hurt and may be added to keep the skin in good condition. Mr. Cayce also said it would also be well to give the Peanut Oil internally - but only two or three drops daily - not more than that. This would supply it internally, so that there would be the beneficial reaction even if she does not get as much as ordinarily through the absorption externally…”

R6. 2/16/44 Mother’s letter: ”…I almost hesitate to write to ask about a check reading on my daughter, since her treatment is to be for such a long duration and the first seven year cycle is almost complete. We are most anxious to have the check reading to see if we are proceeding in the correct manner. Whether anything is wrong, etc. We do feel that the child is showing signs of improvement for which we are most thankful…”

R7. 2/29/44 Questions submitted besides those at the end of 3117-2: “What progress has been made in the condition of this entity? How can the entity be made to talk and overcome the complete indifference to constructive teaching? Would hydro-electric bars, using the galvanic current, be of benefit?”
