This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Virginia, this 9th day of August, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [3144], new Associate Member of the Association for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the book, THERE IS A RIVER.

Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, Michigan.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here - [3144] - not keeping it as quietly as he should.

3. As we find, there are many disturbances through the body, but with the application for the greater disturbance that arises - from conditions resulting from the effect of congestion produced by inflammation - the rest of the body will respond.

4. Through the nasal passages, through the head and neck, there has been that form of congestion and inflammation which has caused the Eustachian tubes to become impacted; not wholly so, but as to make pressure upon the auditory forces and the pockets through which there is created the necessary oils for balance in hearing.

5. Thus the noises, the headaches, the general impression of being bombarded, often, as it were, by noises or voices or conditions from without that become almost as an obsession to the body.

6. As we find, we would have the osteopathic finger surgery. This will require, of course, the preparing of the body osteopathically for the finger surgery and then the treating of the Eustachian tubes, the breaking up of the lesions formed there, and then a few weeks of treatment to relax the whole body.

7. These applications if properly given, and the body is properly prepared, will correct those tendencies for the variations in the blood supply. The irregularity in the pulse. They will also cause better eliminations in the body, coordinating activities between the liver and kidneys - which upset the body at times - and those tendencies for superacidity throughout the digestive forces.

8. Do that in those manners.

9. Best then for a specialist in osteopathic finger surgery to give these treatments.

11. (Q) Is there such an one in Detroit? (A) We should think there would be many.

12. (Q) Is a change of climate necessary or would it be beneficial? (A) Not unless the causes of these conditions are removed from the body.

These disturbances, of course, tend to produce great quantities of wax and it will be necessary to have this removed. But a great deal of these secretions will be removed by the treatments that will be necessary; not only in preparing the body, but for the one, two, or three of the finger surgery treatments.

Do that.

R1. 8/15/43 Guilda Krause’s letter: “Mr. [3144] called. I sent him to our osteopath. We talked for a while. He read the book. He’s a healer and has never had any kind of treatment, but I think he will try the suggestions. He’s to call me again. I love to tell anyone who is interested about your work - I feel good the rest of the day, just like a Boy Scout.”

Dear Sir:

Would you be kind enough to give me a reading?

I have suffered from head noises for a number of years and though I have tried physicians and healers without end I have been unable to find any relief. Most of the M.D.’s say there is nothing wrong with me physically yet they are not able to suggest anything which relieves me.

Won’t you therefore give me a reading on your regular terms. I certainly would greatly appreciate your kindness as I must find some remedy for these stubborn head noises. They are often very violent thus making it difficult for me to do my duties.

I shall await your response with keen interest.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Responding to yours of the 15th I should be happy to cooperate with you in making the reading a success. I note the time and will arrange to be here and keep it in the proper mental condition. As already indicated I suffer from head and ear noises and although I appear to be in good physical condition otherwise, the annoyance from these noises is more than I can bear at times.

Naturally I am curious what started these noises and what can be done to remedy the ailment. I have not been able to do a normal amount of work for several years and am wondering if I can be healed and when it will be possible for me to do more work and do it more efficiently. If necessary to make a change in climate could you advise where I might go for relief or healing?

If you desire more information from me, please advise and I will write fully.
