Born June 2, 1937, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Time of Reading … Street, 10:40 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, Pennsylvania.

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane; giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we are given the records here of that entity, now known as, or called [3152].

3. The possibilities for this entity are unusual, especially if guided and directed into those channels in which the greater expression of the abilities may be made manifest. Though there are weaknesses to be met, if the proper application is made, we should one day see a medal or plaque given the entity for unusual service to humanity.

4. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here, as much of the present period of unfoldment might be directed to those who are responsible for this unfoldment in the material life. And as the entity begins the second cycle, it is not too early to begin those promptings that may lead to the fulfilling of those purposes for which the entity came into this experience.

5. These, then, we choose from the records of the entity with the desire and purpose that this information may be helpful for the entity, thus enabling the entity to better fulfill those purposes in the earth.

6. Begin immediately, then, to interpret to the entity that as may be given here as an effectual way to prepare body, mind, and soul for this activity in the earth.

7. In those fields of electro-chemistry may the entity exceed, excel, accentuate the usages of those influences in this material experience. Yet, it will require that some of those tendencies be corrected, because of the influence that may lead the entity astray; or that the entity be properly directed in these periods of early development.

8. These we find as the latent and manifested urges in the experience of this entity; Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus.

9. The high mental abilities, the quick-wittedness of the entity are indicated in Mercury.

10. In Venus we find a fault as well as power and might and the love of the beautiful.

11. The application of Jupiter, as with Mercury and Venus will be hindered in Saturn - that which through which each soul who has entered the earth plane may pass at some experience.

12. We find in Uranus the extremes, and the ability to control its imagination as well as its temper or temperament must be begun to be developed in the periods just beginning. Not to break the spirit but to direct same in those considerations of truth, of veracity, as well as the spiritual and mental attributes that are a part of the experience and the unfolding of such an unusual one as this, [3152].

13. As to the appearances in the earth, - while not all may be given, these will indicate that which should be in the experience for the next seven years. By the time the entity is ready for Junior High or the application of various activities pertaining to its studies, it would be well that directions from some of the sojourns in the earth be interpreted as to self’s usage in this experience.

14. Before this, we find that the entity was in the land of the present nativity. During those periods when there were the settlings in the land; in those activities where there was the general stress upon brotherly love and spiritual attributes.

15. The entity grew up under rather a severe code of morals, but applied self in directing others, in teaching, and especially in those things having to do with chemistry or the soil for the propagation of fruits, vegetables, and things of that nature.

16. The name then was Marian Fischer, and the activities were successful in increasing the productiveness of nature or soil in those particular periods.

17. These were a contribution then to those who became the suppliers of foods for the people during that early sojourn.

18. Before that the activities of the entity were in the Roman land when there was the spreading of that empire; during those periods just previous to the entrance of the spirit of truth, or the Master in the earth.

19. The entity was given rather to the preparation of various materials from the varied lands for use in keeping the people supplied with foods and with those things that would enable the maintaining of Armies, thus metals, as well as the materials of war and the weapons of war.

20. The entity was active especially in using the abilities of the various lands to supply those needs in the spreading of the political as well as material power in those activities.

21. Thus again we find the entity as one working towards the general welfare of the many.

22. In that experience the entity was known as Fariand.

23. Before that, when there were the journeyings through the wilderness by a people drawn out from the Egyptian land, the entity was with those leaders of that land to which they were being drawn or sent; when those entrances were made and there were the divisions of lands.

24. The entity was among the leaders in the varied groups; being in that particular household of Ashur.

25. In that experience the entity made the greater contribution for preparing materials used in dress as well as in the service in replacing those activities in the temple, or what became the pattern of the temple. For the entity’s experience had to do with the tabernacle, the applying of silk, linen, and the preparation of the goat’s hair and skin for usage in the activities of the people as well as for the tabernacle itself.

26. The name then was Jepthiel. The entity gained.

27. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land during those periods when there was the spreading of the activities of the Priest who was called back into authority or place.

28. Then the entity was an emissary; though taught in all the usages of chemical and electrical forces, in conjunction with the preparation of bodies for the propagation of the species in the Temple of Sacrifice.

29. Hence, we find the entity may prepare itself as a physician, B U T ESPECIALLY should this be in those activities directed toward electricity as combined with the chemistry of the body, and the usage of same in applying chemicals to the body through vibratorial methods. These would become those channels through which the greater expectations and greater activities may be a part of the entity’s experience in this particular sojourn.

30. The name then was Ax-etz-en.

31. As to the abilities of the entity and that to which it may attain and how:

32. As indicated, in those fields of electro-therapy, or electro-chemistry, there may be the greater service or there may be provided the greater channel, or greater outlet.

33. Hence, begin to prepare the body for such an activity in the earth. Beware, that there is kept the spiritual purposes and aims. And as these are directed the greater abilities may be made manifest, then when the body is eleven to twelve years of age, do seek to find the activities of the entity, especially in Egypt and at the entrance into the Holy Land.

34. Ready for questions:

35. (Q) What method should his patents use in guiding him into the proper channels, without detriment to his development? (A) Be very positive and not too lax, yet not so severe as to break the spirit of the entity.

36. (Q) At what age should he be informed regarding his past incarnations? (A) The sooner now, the better.

37. (Q) Should opportunities be given him in a particular field or should he be allowed to work out his own future? (A) As just indicated, lead or direct, but not force him in the field of electro-therapy or electro-chemistry.

38. (Q) Any further advice to the parents? (A) Keep thy faith in creative force. Realize the responsibility, but rather as an opportunity to manifest through thy feeble efforts some of that purpose He would have with this entity.

Dear Mr. Cayce.

My wife and I were pleased with the “reading” made by you on August 12, for our son [3152]. We feel the responsibility of guiding such an entity as he, will be great. It gives us a sense of inward joy however, that the stewardship of [3152] was given us and we shall always strive for perfection in the execution of our trust.

There are two items in the “reading” which I would like to understand more fully. They are as follows -

(1) on Page 2 of the Reading [3152-1, Par. 13] “…it would be well that directions from some of the sojourns in the earth be interpreted as to self’s usage in this experience.”

(2) on the Last Page [3152-1, Par. 33] “…then when the body is eleven or twelve years of age, do seek to find the activities of the entity, especially in Egypt and at the entrance into the Holy Land.”

Any light you may be able to throw on these items will be greatly appreciated.

On page #287 of the book “There is a River,” mention is made of “treatments for stimulating the growth of hair” - Is it possible for me to purchase literature concerning these treatments or what procedure must be followed - Sincerely

Dear Mr. […]

Thanks very much for yours of October 21. Pardon me for not answering you sooner, but our mail has gotten so heavy, I guess we are lucky if we get around to answer one at all.

I think if you read over the data every once in a while, as he grows up, you will see many of the things suggested being indicated in his characteristics. Regarding what the reading says, “it will be well that directions from some of the sojourns in the earth be interpreted as to self’s usage in this experience.” That is to tell him even in his early life, stories of individuals that will give him something of an ideal - for instance, the story of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln or maybe better still, the story of Christ. As for the second suggestion, “then when he is 11 or 12 years old,” another reading should be given him for his personal direction. It would include a period in which he journeyed from Egypt to the Holy Land. Whether this was at the time of Exodus or some other period, we don’t known.

No, we have not published any special literature as yet on the growth of hair. That has only been presented in quite a good many different forms in individual readings. The general suggestion is to use something like Fitch’s dandruff remover, or shampoo, and then massage in the scalp crude oil, weakened some, of course, just with distilled water, so that you have about one half and one half mixed together. Massage that into the hair and then cleanse with vaseline. I think you will find that will help your hair.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Last night I finished reading “There Is a River” by Thomas Sugrue. To me the philosophy as revealed in your readings, seems sound and logical. I believe if Man knew that he must PERSONALLY pay off his own debts of sin, instead (as I have always thought) of being forgiven them when he got around to asking forgiveness; the world would make greater strides toward spiritual improvement.

Although I am not a student of the Bible, I have read it at various times, gaining hope, strength and comfort, particularly from the 23rd Psalm and from the 6th Chapter of St. Matthew, 25th thru the 34th Verses.

All my life I have felt the need of a sustaining religion and never seemed able to find it. I have tried our Protestant Churches, Spiritualism, Christian Science, Modern Psychology and last but not least, the Rosicrucian Philosophy. This latter is so technical and difficult to follow and still carry on a normal life as husband and father that I could not honestly and sincerely attempt it.

After the reading Mr. Sugrue’s splendid book, I feel that I am personally acquainted with you Mr. Cayce. If you have the time to teach me the fundamentals of the Philosophy as revealed in your readings, I would like to know the procedure necessary to request a Life Reading for myself.

I am deeply interested and would greatly appreciate hearing from you.

Dear Mr. […]

Have yours of the 8th - thank you for same and only trust I may be the means of being of a real service. Am sending you a booklet under separate cover, that may help you decide whether you wish the Life Reading or not. Read it carefully and then if you wish will be glad to make an appointment for the reading.

I think I can understand your search for Truth, for me it came in the early part of my life; the indecisions, as you have seen from reading the book - There is a River - and while my life has not been an easy one - nor is it now, yet am very sure of the power of God as manifest in Jesus - the Christ, and of HIS nearness to those who seek to do His biddings. Not that any special gift has been or is mine, but that as is the need of every seeking soul.

Wish might have the opportunity to talk with you in person, and hope to have that pleasure some time, possibly the booklet will give you some help, and then ask any questions you may wish as regards to work here.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Thank you for your letter of April 8th, also the booklet - “Edgar Cayce - His Life and Work.” Through a misunderstanding, this is the second copy of this booklet I received. The postal card I wrote on April 6th was probably at fault - I should have written my request in a letter. But I did want to examine some samples of Publications. I noticed on the bottom of the Associate Membership application that Samples would be sent upon request. May I have a couple please?

It is my earnest desire to make application for an Associate Membership and to procure a “Mental and Spiritual” reading for myself - I am afraid that my personal reading will have to be postponed until next year however, as we have a problem (a grand boy who will be six years old this June) which needs direction and management of the highest type. He is a brilliant little fellow, rough and sturdy yet with a very sensitive nature. In our kind hearted ignorance we may do more damage with his training than good. I feel certain Mr. Cayce that he is destined to do big things in this old world of ours, if he has the necessary help.

Do you think I am too “material minded” in desiring that my Son - ([3152] is his name) should have the guidance that may be revealed by a Spiritual and Mental Reading? I feel that I should be able to cope with most of his problems but he is so different at times. He has a great desire to learn all about Jesus and will sit in church and be very attentive. He says quaint little things and asks so many questions about God. He’s so interested in everything and intends to ask God ah, a lot of questions on how He made this and how He made that.

I feel certain he is a soul of great advancement and to neglect anything that may help him would be nothing short of criminal.

Do I understand that the price of an Associate Membership is 20.00 per year, with which one reading may be had? Additional individual Readings would be at the rate of 20.00 each? Therefore if I was accepted into the organization I could have one Reading for [3152] - then later if I were able, I could have one for myself @ $20.00 additional.

Hope I haven’t bored you with all this Mr. Cayce but I feel so deeply for this “business” - it is a wonder to me that Science hasn’t come around looking into it “without a chip on it’s shoulder” - Later on it’s bound to.
