This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 24th day of August, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - [3176], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mrs. [3105].

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. (Notes read to and transcribed by Jeanette Fitch.)]

Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:25 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, Arizona.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3176].

  3. As we find, there are disturbing conditions in the physical forces of this body. These effects of active forces on organs are of the tubercule nature through the system.

  4. It is not wholly active through the lungs except at times in the present, but is more directed to circulation between the lungs, the liver and the kidneys. And these in the present come from the inability of the body to assimilate the foods or properties taken.

  5. There is a lacking, then, of chemical forces through the draining, or of the system’s being drained for the creating all of those influences in the plasm of the lymph and blood supply to ward against the inroads of those destructive forces in the body.

  6. Hence, we would keep much in the same environ for at least three to four months. But we would change a great deal as to the applications being made. While some of those being administered are in the same form, we find there will be much more helpfulness or effectiveness if these are applied in this way and manner:

  7. Do have prepared a charred oak keg for inhaling the fumes from pure apple brandy. In a gallon and a half to two gallon keg put at least a half gallon of apple brandy; not other than redistilled apple brandy. In one end of the keg prepare two holes, one of sufficient size that a tube may be connected through which there may be inhaled the fumes (not taking the brandy itself). Do not let the tube go into the solution at all, but only into that vacuum where the fumes are formed by the natural processes of the brandy’s evaporation. Inhale the fumes into the throat and lungs two or three times a day. Two or three inhalations each time will be sufficient in the beginning, but gradually increase. Do not let the brandy get too low. When it has evaporated to half or two-thirds of the quantity, refill. Don’t throw the other away, - it is still good. The small opening is only for the air, so that the body will not be drawing against the lack of air when inhaling the fumes. Keep the openings corked when not in use, of course.

  8. The activity on this is not only for the destruction of live tubercule tissue, but it acts as an antiseptic for all irritated areas; also giving activity to cellular force of the corpuscle itself. It acts as a stimuli to the circulation, then, recharging each cell as it passes through areas so affected by the radiation of the gases from this fluid itself.

  9. Also for the creating of those elements in the destructive forces of the stomach and duodenum, that may aid in creating proper assimilation - thus letting the body build back to strength and resistance in the system, - we would take internally each day, preferably at the evening meal a teaspoonful of ACIGEST in a glass of raw milk.

  10. Twice each week (for it is not needed in this particular climate so much by the body) we would eat, preferably at the noon meal, a whole wheat cracker spread thinly with CALCIOS. Do this on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Do not gulp, but assimilate this as this is eaten.

  11. Keep in the open as much as practical, and a little exercise.

  12. Eat plenty of fowl (chicken or any wild game). This should never be fried, but smothered, broiled or the like; so that the food values are not lost or smothered in grease or oil.

  13. Do these things and then in six months we would give further instructions.

  14. Ready for questions.

  15. We are through with this reading.
