GC: You will have before you the life existence in the earth plane of [3178] born September 20, 1896, in Potsdam, New York, and the earthly existence of this entity as Charles Carroll, a signer of the American Declaration of Independence. You will give a biographical life of the entity in that day and plane of earthly existence, from entrance and how into the earth’s plane, and the entity’s departure, giving the development or retarding points in such an existence. You will answer the questions he submits, as I ask them, concerning the associations and urges from that period and other incarnations having an effect in the present life:

2. EC: We would not give this just yet. Best that the entity study the life of Charles Carroll, all the known records, and then seek information by questions as to phases of his life not clear.

Dear Mr. [3178]

We attempted to get your check-life reading on the American Revolutionary period and only the [enclosed] information was given.

Possibly, after you have followed through with this suggestion, we might try to get this period for you. The indication seems to be that it shouldn’t be for some time yet.

I do plan to take a rest, but do not know when I will get to Washington.

R2. 1/4/46 Mr. [3178] returned Active Membership application blank indicating an interest in receiving information on World Affairs, Developing Your Psychic Ability, and the Diary Letter.

R3. 11/6/46 Wife’s letter to HLC: “My husband and I want to thank you for giving so much time to us in going over his Life Reading. We both feel that much was accomplished in those two hours. We shall keep you informed as to the progress made. After we left you, we drove over to Baltimore and went over some papers in the Maryland Historical Society. Just a little was new, but it will reveal itself bit by bit, and in following out in the peculiar way that presents itself what the reading has shown… I have a great many contacts, and loads of books which I have studied. I am speaking of both of us, for [3178] and I most often do things together…”

1. Under what circumstances was I associated with my wife, [3054] in my last life?
2. Explain more about my last three incarnations coming on the 20th of September, particularly as it is the cusp between Virgo and Libra. (I do not feel that I have been able to figure out from Numerology, as suggested, why three incarnations on the same date would be indicated.)
3. Explain why my Life Rdg. indicated that I was the “last to sign the Declaration of Independence” when available records fail to show it.
4. Where can I find something definite about my incarnation as Duem Markel? Was that my name in the English period? What period in history was that?
5. Since I was a signer of the Declaration of Independence the last time, is it indicated that I will in my present incarnation play a definite part in Government?
6. Have any of the other “Signers” incarnated, and if so, can you tell me who they are and where to find them, and whether we are to be known to each other in this life?
7. Am I in this life following out the Pattern of my life, however blindly it may seem to me now?
