GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3220].
-
In giving the interpretation of the disturbance here, other conditions than the pathological effects produced must be taken into consideration - if there would be real help for this body.
-
That which is in the physical disturbing is, ever, the result of breaking a law; either pertaining to the physical, mental, or spiritual.
-
Here we have a misconstruction of some laws pertaining to the physical and mental. Not as of morality alone, but the entity should or must change the general attitude towards conditions about the entity - its hates, its fears; and trust in those promises that have been made.
-
Who healeth all thy disease? Who supplyeth life itself? Trust, then, in those promises. As has been given, “If ye call, I will hear and will answer.” Use the abilities, then, of the body and of the mind, in a service to Him.
-
Pathologically we find, from a burn, from chemicals, there has come an irritation to the throat, the larynx and bronchi. Combined with the deteriorating forces in the attitude, there are those areas that continually cause - with the least cold or inflammation - hemorrhage from the throat and the larynx.
-
This is not tubercular as yet in its nature. It is consuming, because of the inability of the properties as yet supplied or applied in the system to produce proper coagulation. And the general reduction of the supply of red blood cellular forces, with the plasm in the hemoglobin itself for the producing of the condition to combat and the lack of the number of leukocytes, still makes for greater weaknesses in the body.
-
If there is the change in the general attitude, and the application in a consistent manner of these things we would suggest, we find that there may be brought healing forces for the body; in such measures as to maintain and sustain activities in this physical experience.
-
Have prepared an inhalant in this manner:
-
To six ounces of grain alcohol (Not denatured but grain alcohol, at least 90% proof), add - in the order named:
Oil of Eucalyptus…30 drops, Rectified Oil of Turp…10 drops, Compound Tincture of Benzoin…45 drops, Rectified Creosote…3 drops, Tolu in Solution…20 drops.
-
Put this in a large mouth bottle, prepared so that there are two vents in the cork, and these vents kept closed when not used.
-
This is to be inhaled, not taken. Shake the solution, and - about four or five times each day, and once or twice during a night - inhale; shaking the solution, removing both small corks, and then inhaling deep into the throat and lungs - once or twice in the beginning. This will be rather severe, yet keep this up.
-
Then, add to the general constitutional conditions of body in the form of diet.
-
At least twice each day take a teaspoonful of beef juice. Sip this, taking at least a minute or minute and a half to swallow the teaspoonful.
-
Have sea foods in the diet often, that there may be the adding of iodine from such foods. Have these two or three times each week.
-
Also add vitamin B-1 complex tablets, these taken preferably when the body is ready to retire.
-
Do not overtax the body. Do not work or labor or be active where there is dust or the like.
-
At least once a week have a gentle massage all along the spine, but especially in the area from the 9th dorsal to the base of the brain, and this on either side of the spine rather than the spine itself; massaging into same Cocoa Butter. This is well if it will be applied. Take the time to do this; not as something to be done and gotten through with any more than the meditation periods - or the promises to self for the correcting of the ideals or ideas pertaining to its moral, mental and spiritual life.
-
Do these, if there would be brought the better conditions for this body.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Why the pain in the chest and back? (A) Read what has just been indicated, and you will see.
Do these things, and we should have help for this body.
- We are through with this reading.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. Undated Brief by Phyllis Goodall, R.N. of EC’s Reading:
#[3220] 9/17/43 FEMALE - 30’s Affection of the Larynx and Bronchi - caused primarily from a chemical burn:
Physical History and Medical Findings: No history given other than hemorrhages from the throat or bronchi. A choked-up feeling and dyspnea. Pain in the chest and back and intense general malaise. (Bronchiectasis)??
SUMMARY OF READING: If there would be real help for this body other causes of the pathological effects must be considered than those that are purely physical or chemical. Illness is ever the result of breaking a law, either pertaining to the physical, mental or spiritual. Here we have a misconstruction of some laws pertaining to the physical and mental. Not of morality alone but the entity must change her general attitude toward surrounding conditions - the entity’s hates, its fears, - trust in those promises that have been made. Who healeth all thy disease? Who supplieth life itself? Trust then in those promises as have been given: “If ye call, I will hear and will answer.” Use the abilities of the body and the mind in a service to HIM.
Pathologically - from a burn from chemicals there has been caused an irritation to the larynx and bronchi. This combined with the adverse forces in the attitude causes hemorrhage from the throat upon the least provocation of cold or inflammation. This is not tubercular in its nature. It is consuming because of other conditions such as impoverished blood supply both as to hemo-globin and cellular content - all of which makes for greater weaknesses in the body. If the attitude is changed and the suggested applications are faithfully applied, healing forces can be brought in such measure as will see the entity through its activities in this physical experience.
Have an Inhalant prepared in this manner: To six ounces of GRAIN alcohol, at least 90% proof, add - IN THE ORDER NAMED:
Oil of Eucalyptus…XXX gtts. (drops) Rectified Oil of Turp…X gtts. ” Comp. Tincture of Benzoin…XLV gtts. ” Rectified Creosote…III gtts. ” Tolu in Solution…XX gtts. ”
Put this in a large mouth bottle prepared with two vents in the cork - these vents to be kept closed when not in use. Inhale the fumes about four or five times daily and twice nightly - shaking the solution first then removing both small corks from vents inhale deep into the throat and lungs. Only once or twice in the beginning - for this will be rather severe but keep it up.
DIET: At least twice daily take a teaspoonful of beef juice - take at least a minute or two to swallow the whole teaspoonful. Have sea foods in the diet often - at least 2 or 3 x weekly. Add vitamin B1 complex tablets - to be taken at bedtime. Do not work or labor so as to overtax the body - neither should you work where there is dust or the like.
At least once a week have a gentle massage all along the spine - but especially in the area from the 9th dorsal to the base of the brain. Use cocoa butter. Remember the promise to self for correcting the ideals or ideas pertaining to its moral, mental and spiritual life.

SURGERY RELIEVES CHRONIC LUNG INFECTION
Surgical treatment of some 125 cases of the lung disease called bronchiectasis can relieve long-standing distress.
Symptoms of the disease include dilation and infection within the lungs, often appearing in teen-age youngsters, New Zealand researchers said. Surgery should be reserved for relief of troublesome symptoms, rather than used any time the disease appears.
Surgery may be either unilateral or bilateral. Unilateral cases are confined to only one segment of the lobe, and 97% of these operations are successful. In 84% of bilateral operations excellent results also are obtained.
Drs. John Borrie and Ivan Lichter of the University of Otago Medical School, Dunedin, New Zealand, reported the findings in the British Medical Journal, Oct. 16, 1965.

B1. 5/16/43 Sister Miss [3145]‘s letter:
Dear Mr. Cayce:
You gave me August the 9th, and I am sending you a list of questions for myself. Do not know now where I will be on August 9th, but will let you know a few days in advance, but what I am mostly concerned about is not myself, but a dear sister of mine [3220], who since last September has had blood hemorrhages from her mouth. The doctors say there is no tuberculosis, but that it may be due to some bronchial disturbance. However they cannot agree, in the meantime, she is full of fear and is very weak. She has a small child to take care of and hasn’t the strength to do anything. I had a terrible dream about her the other night, and am so worried that it isn’t helping my condition either. She is poor, but I am sending you $5.00 of mine (borrowed) and am begging you to give her an emergency reading.
Please write me when you can, and I will write her, so that she will know. I shall eternally be grateful, and may God Bless you and Mrs. Cayce and your children. I read your book “There is a River” and feel I know you all.
May the Lord guide you in your work, healing and delivering people from sickness and death.
Very admiringly, [3145]
- What is causing the blood hemorrhages?
- Just where does the trouble lie?
- Why do I have the choked up feeling? and difficulty in breathing?
- Why the pain in the chest and back?
- Why the weak feeling?
- What will cure me?
