This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 20th day of September, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3225], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended through her physician Dr. A. E. Clark.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. (Notes read to and transcribed by Jeanette Fitch.)]
Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, Ky.
-
GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3225].
-
As we find, there has not been a perfect coordination established in the glandular system as related to the activities of the eliminations of the body - or pertaining to the activities of the organs of the pelvis.
-
This produces those periods when through exhaustion arises from the least mental or physical exertion; and these react upon sympathetic nervous system - those glandular reactions especially in the thyroid and the adrenals.
-
We would relax the body osteopathically, rather than by stimulation; supplying those elements - that is, vitamins B-1 and its complexes, and sufficient thyroid. These would aid in bringing a normal balance, and in a little while make for a better equilibrium, better ability to sleep and rest; making for a decreasing of the pains in the head and through portions of the body.
-
Do that.
-
These necessarily should be under the supervision of a good osteopath, or one in sympathy with such treatments.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Are there any organic causes for her state of depression? (A) We have indicated the sources of these disturbances, and the corrections to be made osteopathically - which will be found needed most in the lumbar and sacral areas; coordinating the upper dorsal and through the cervical with the corrections in the lumbar and sacral.
-
(Q) What steps should be taken to clear up her anxiety about the status of her two children? done about it? (A) We haven’t the two children in this body or with the body at the present. This can only come from within self and its trust in the divine, that is a part or the basis of associations with every individual.
-
(Q) Is a change indicated for the entity? (A) Depends upon what is done about the general conditions.
-
We are through for the present.

Dear Mr. Cayce:
You gave a reading for Mrs. [3225] on Sept. 20th, 1943. The instructions have been followed as directed, including thyroid and vitamins B-1 with its complexes. Her B.M.R. rate is positive which does not indicate thyroid.
This patient is not responding to treatment. If you can give an immediate CHECK READING, please do so, otherwise I will have to take matters in my own hands.
Very truly yours, A. E. Clark [Psychiatrist]
R2. 10/12/43 EC’s letter:
Dr. A. E. Clark 310 Citizens Bank Building Lexington, Ky.
Dear Dr. Clark:
I am in receipt of yours of the eighth, regarding Mrs. [3225]. I am sorry to hear that she is not getting along too well. I am so far ahead with appointments, but would be mighty happy to try to be of help, but it will be so long that it would possibly be better that you go ahead with whatever you have in mind that Mrs. [3225] needs. It would not be possible for us to get an appointment in before the morning of December 9th. I know that is too far off, for any condition such as Mrs. [3225]‘s to wait on. If you feel like at that time that you would like to have this, will you please drop me a line, telling just where she will be on that morning, 10:30 to 11:30 EWT., a few days before that time. We will be glad to try and help if it is possible.
Thanking you, and hoping for the very best for Mrs. [325] I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC/vw

R4. 7/10/61 Mrs. [3225] came by headquarters with friends. She requested a copy of her reading and asked me to go over it with her because she didn’t understand the reading at the time. However she did take a few osteopathic treatments after receiving her reading, and also took the vitamins suggested. She seemed to feel a little better, but didn’t repeat the suggestions for any length of time. She said that she still has the periods of depression, and I recommended that she again follow the treatments suggested for her. She also stated that she had tried to follow the advice given on holding a better attitude. She was most pleasant, and was so glad to have a copy of her reading. mgs
