This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of September, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [3235], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. (Notes read to and transcribed by Jeanette Fitch.)]

At home, about Time of Reading 12 mi. from 3:35 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Tenn.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes, - yes, we have the body here - peculiar odor here in the air right now, from the pollen - from the flooded waters.

  3. We have the body here, [3235].

  4. As we find there are disturbing conditions which prevent the better physical functioning of the body. These have to do primarily with the conditions existing in the eliminating systems of the body. Those reflexes produced, that have apparently brought about some of the conditions existent, are from quite another disturbance; but these as we find - save the acute conditions - are sympathetic. Thus the heart activity and the conditions existent with same may be materially aided if certain corrections are made with the body.

  5. But having had these attacks, there will continue to be a weakness there, even with the changes as may be wrought in the body.

  6. As we find, these conditions exist:

  7. There is a subluxation existent in the 6th dorsal center, and this - through the lack of nerve and blood supply, or this suppression of nerve and blood supply to portions of the body - has caused a plethoric condition in a part of the colon, and primarily then a prolapsus in another portion - or in the lower part.

  8. These pressures first cause disturbances in the activity of the blood flow between the heart, the liver and the lungs.

  9. If there will be the corrections made in the 6th dorsal, and the rest of the system - or along the spinal system - coordinated with same, these would assist in bringing about a much better condition and relieve those tensions existent.

  10. These corrections we would accomplish with the combination of hydrotherapy and osteopathy. These would be the manners in which such corrections can be the better made.

  11. Do that.

  12. Ready for questions.

  13. (Q) How can I overcome my tendency to stay away from people? (A) This is a matter of mind, and this the entity has to overcome within self. Be interested - not a meddler, but be interested in other people’s affairs, other people’s troubles. And you’ll find plenty of ‘em will tell ‘em to you! Be not a meddler, though, but use it through the seeking of spiritual counsel, or through your own church.

  14. (Q) How can I gain more confidence in myself? (A) By having more confidence in others and being truer to, a better friend and neighbor to, others.

For, as you find self interesting self in being a helpful influence in the experiences of others, you will gain confidence in self.

Do that.

  1. We are through with this reading.
