Kahn, and There Is A River.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3243].

3. As we find, conditions here are karmic. And unless the body would accept the responsibility of the general condition for self, then go about to correct same through the law, not of karma but of grace, - not a great deal may be done.

4. A greater understanding of same might come from the life experiences in the earth.

5. It is indicated that there have been deteriorations in the tendons and muscles of the structural portions, from the effects of high temperature with the activities that run their course.

6. We would use the Radio-Active Appliance one hour each day, followed by a thorough massage with this combination of oils:

Olive Oil…2 ounces, Peanut Oil…2 ounces, Lanolin (Liquified)…1 teaspoonful.

7. We would use the hour that the Radio-Active Appliance is used as a period of prayer and meditation; using as a basis of the study by the body Deuteronomy 30th and St. John 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th. Know that this is speaking to YOU. Apply it in thy associations with others and we will find help.

My Dear Mr. Cayce:

I am in receipt of your reading of the 27th day of September.

I have studied the reading in an effort to interpret the expressions used and frankly I am at a complete loss to understand or to interpret the reading. I would very much appreciate an immediate explanation of the following three statements:

1. “As we find, conditions here are karmic. And unless the body would accept the responsibility of the general condition for self, then go about to correct same through the law, not of karma but of grace, - not a great deal may be done.”

2. “A greater understanding of same might come from the life experiences in the earth.”

3. “It is indicated that there have been deteriorations in the tendons and muscles of the structural portions, from the effects of high temperature with the activities that run their course.”

What is meant by the word karmic? I recall seeing this word being used several times when I read the book “THERE IS A RIVER”.

The reading also makes reference to the “Radio-Active Appliance.” Am I to order this appliance from Mr. Godfrey?

I presume that you have many such letter requesting interpretations of readings and I trust that you will have no hesitancy in giving me a full explanation.

Dear Mr. [3243]

Replying to yours of the fifth, I am sorry that you haven’t read this Life Reading data. While it does not pertain to your individual case, it does contain information to your general interest. Whether I can explain this to you sufficiently, without talking to you, I doubt it. From the paragraphs you refer to, Karmatic conditions refer to the law of cause and effect and applies to other experiences in the earth than this present one as is indicated in other parts of your reading. What you were then, and as is indicated in No. 1, unless you want to do something about it, there is not much help physically that might come. As is taught in the Bible, Jesus, as a man paid the debt for Himself and became the Law. Then with the applying of the material suggestions, we receive the blessings of real material gain that might heal our bodies and minds.

In. No. 2, it indicates that you would understand the Law of Karma and why you have had your present experience from something you did in a former appearance. That is what it means by saying that “A greater understanding of same might come from the life experiences in the earth.”

In No. 3, it speaks of a physical condition that there is a deterioration, that is, lack of strength in the muscles in the structural portions in the body…these are effects of high temperatures in the body. Radio-Active appliance is a gadget that the information has given and friend Godfrey has been building them for people. You will not feel a single thing in this appliance, consequently, some people imagine, because it does not burn them or something, that is is not doing anything, but after the use of it for a while, you will begin to feel much better. Don’t let anyone else put it on, for they change the vibrations - the appliance is made for you - it builds up as a magnet and discharges in the area which is least charged. Read the Life Reading data that we are sending you under separate cover, and if we can help you to get a better interpretation, know that we will be very glad to do it.

My dear Mr. Cayce:

This letter is written on behalf of Mr. [3243] Post Office Box …, Oklahoma. I represent Mr. [3243] who advises me that he called you for an appointment several days ago. Mr. [3243] has recently undergone an operation and is convalescing, and has, therefore, requested that I acknowledge receipt of your letter of June 12 and inquire as to the earliest possible date you can give him an appointment. Will you please forward any application that is necessary in care of me and also advise me what your fee for services will be.

I am personally acquainted with Mr. & Mrs. David E. Kahn who have been my intimate friends for a long period of years. As a matter of fact, I have often heard both David and Lucille speak of you and your good work.
