This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 25th day of May, 1927, in accordance with request made by her son, Mr. [257].

Time of Reading 3:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the further relief and improvement of same.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. This we have had before.

3. Now, we find there are many of those conditions that have been given that are causing distress in and with the body at the present time; the physical resistance being at such a condition and state that taxation physical or mental causes too much relaxation in the system, and the body suffers from same. The poisons from the body - with the poor eliminations as become apparent at such times - give distresses in the various nerve centers.

4. As well as having the manipulations necessary to produce tautness and laxness in various portions of the system, we would apply those forces in the Radium Appliance for the body. There is not need to have same unless it may be applied to the body. The regular pad would be sufficient, and should be worn across the 6th and 7th dorsal. At least five (5) manipulations should be given, and the pad worn for at least sixty (60) days. This will so build the system as to produce more resistance in the body.

5. Those mental worries should be eliminated, by being taken care of through those channels that have so often relieved such conditions; for the worry and the trouble caused physically from same is not worth the condition that is produced. So do not worry! It is - as seen - one thing to tell a body “Not worry”, another for the body not TO worry. Hence this is the state of mind and being of an individual, but one may apply same, will they but set themselves to that task as necessary to overcome such physical conditions in body through such mental attitudes.

R2. 5/27/27 EC’s letter to Mr. [257]: “We had gotten the reading before you wired. I am in hopes there is sufficient here for you to get Mother [325] straightened out. I realize as you do, no doubt, that she is in a much more serious condition than she tries to make out, yet it’s mighty hard to get her to follow out all the suggestions fully as are outlined - but I’m in hopes that you will insist on her carrying out these suggestions fully. You should wire for this pad at once. Don’t think some other kind will do.”
