This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of September, 1943, in accordance with request made by the mother - […], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the book, THERE IS A RIVER.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. (Notes read to and transcribed by Jeanette Fitch.)]

Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:05 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, Penna.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes - as we find these are rather serious disturbances. But, from what we find, not a great deal is being accomplished with these shocks. For, we find that these conditions arise not from this disturbance between the liver and kidneys. With the pressures that exist in the cerebrospinal system, portions of the nerve itself are being gradually destroyed by non-use. This will become atrophied, or set up such irritation as to produce those pressures such that normalcy will not be gained.

  3. As we find there should be a relieving osteopathically of the pressures that exist in the sacral and coccyx area, so that these shocks would cause the body to snap back to rationality, the proper coordination, and near to a normal body.

  4. Yet these fears that arise are a part of the disturbance, though secondary. If these corrections will be made in the lumbar, sacral and coccyx, coordinating the rest of the body, we find that these responses would be much nearer normal.

  5. Ready for questions.

  6. (Q) What osteopath in this vicinity would you recommend? (A) There are many here. Those that may be associated with the Institute would be very well. X-ray these areas in the sacral and coccyx, and we will find where those pressures exist.

  7. (Q) What brought about these pressures? (A) An injury.

  8. (Q) How am I to overcome a persecution complex? (A) Supply the mental forces with a spiritual promise. Read, apply the 30th of Deuteronomy, and the 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th of John as personal things. Not merely learn these as a routine but make practical application of them. We will overcome this fear complex as well as the feeling of being inefficient. And in His might and power is all strength and all aptitude.

Do that.

  1. (Q) What vocation should I follow when I leave the hospital? (A) Better leave the hospital first and these suggestions might be obtained through other types of information through these sources.

Do these for the present.

  1. We are through with this reading.
