This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 6th day of October, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3266], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the book, THERE IS A RIVER.

Time of Reading 10:30 to 10:45 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, Calif.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [3266].

3. As we find, there are disturbances which prevent the better physical functioning. These have to do with the chemical supply, the inability of the glandular system - from the chemical compositions of the body forces, and from the hormones in the blood supply - to recreate those energies necessary for correct stamina in nerves.

4. These cause those disturbances as related to structural portions of the body, the vertebrae being in a state of flux almost as to position, and the activities of the whole system - with the digestive forces - cause an upsetting of the body.

5. The organs of the sensory forces suffer under these distresses.

6. All of these arise from glandular disorders.

7. We would supply to the system those vital forces that may aid in producing in the body-energies that necessary influence for the revivifying and regenerating of the body forces. Hence we would take Knox gelatin. One day in the morning take about a teaspoonful thoroughly dissolved in warm water - cooled just a bit but not so that it jells before drinking. The next day in the afternoon take about half a teaspoonful prepared in the same way.

8. Every other day have the electrical treatments that may be applied to the body through the hands of the manipulator standing on electrical forces where the resistances, of course, are removed. There should be given by the one making the adjustments osteopathically for the body.

9. Then the body energies as in the diet:

10. Do take sea foods often; fowl also, but bony pieces that supply more of the calcium for body energies.

11. If consistently kept, these should bring very soon much better conditions for this body.

13. (Q) Will this treatment prevent vertebrae constantly falling out of alignment, causing much pain? (A) It should.

14. (Q) Please give treatment for bowels and bladder. (A) The treatment outlined should also aid in correcting these conditions. In giving the electrical treatment, let this be more along the spine and then the centers in the frontal portions of the body - as the patches of the lymph circulation, so that the glands of the abdomen and bowels and bladder are electrified through the centers themselves, which should make for a correcting of those areas.

15. (Q) Is the malignant condition on my face definitely cured or is there likely be a re-occurrence? (A) Unless there is further treatment a little later this will re-occur. However, if there will be the addition of the Ultra-Violet with the green glass projected between the Ray and the body, it will be more effective for the condition than the X-Ray. Use this for about a minute to a minute and a half, the Mercury Quartz Light with the green glass projected between the Mercury Light and the body. The Mercury Light would be at least thirty-eight or forty inches away, while the green glass would be about fourteen inches from the body.

16. (Q) Does the chemical ray I am using in my bed have merit? (It is supposed to give out a purifying ray.) (A) As we find, this has very little merit - if there is the electrifying of the body. But if we do not electrify the body we are going to have much more disintegration.

17. (Q) Is it indicated that the trip to Mexico will be good for me? (A) this will be, if there are precautions taken, especially as to the drinking water and the diet.

18. (Q) Is there any reason why I should not make this trip? (A) If there are precautions taken regarding the diet, it would be very well.
