Conditions here are very serious. The sooner there is the attention from a brain specialist, and preparation is made for operative forces, the greater will be the possibility of not only saving the life but the mind of this body.

B1. 4/24/41 Mother, who had previously obtained 3 Physical Rdgs. for her daughter, Mrs. [2499], wrote: I have another daughter, [3283], I would like for you to help if this is successful. Her trouble is stomach trouble and can’t eat certain things.”
B2. 8/23/43 Mother wrote: “She [3283] is in a bad condition and has been for a number of years. Our doctor advised us to go to Vanderbelt at Nashville for examination. We had always thought it was what she ate that caused her troubles, but they pronounced it a tumor of the brain…after several ex rays. They also advised an operation, but we dread one so much that we want your advice… She was energetic and strong all her life till several yrs. ago she started having spells. She becomes unconscious and does not know what she is doing for a while. At times she gets awfully sick and her head and eyes almost burst. The last time she was sick she suffered a nervous breakdown. Her spells are in the form of convulsions.”
B3. Questions submitted:
- What was the original cause of these spells?
- What causes the nausea and vomiting at such times, also bad taste?
- What causes head to almost burst, left eye protruding, hurting in ear back of neck?
- Is the trouble in head; if so, what part?
- Is there any trouble in stomach or elsewhere that causes the spells, such as a tumor or the like?
- What causes sour stomach and spitting up of food?
- Does diet have anything to do with it?
- What was the principal cause of recent nervous condition, when back of neck hurt and felt like it was going to draw?
- What caused discharge in throat and mouth, sometimes like pus and at others like white of egg?
- Is an operation necessary, or can the condition be cured without one?
- If an operation is necessary, is she in condition for it to be successful?
