This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 15th day of October, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3294], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by her son, Mr. [2533].

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. (Notes read to and transcribed by Jeanette Fitch.)]

Time of Reading 3:35 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Va.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3294].

  3. As we find, there are conditions that disturb the body at times. In many ways the body physically is very good, but there is a tendency for the eliminations of the body to cause activities in the nerve systems to bring distress to the body - in the form of a neuritic reaction.

  4. These effects arise from a plethoric condition that exists in the ascending colon. At times these are relieved, and when these are we find quite a variation in the blood pressure.

  5. In the present we find, while this is somewhat above normal, it is not excessive. But this can be changed or regulated, and the pains would be eliminated - that occur in the extremities, in the neck and head, along the shoulders and at times even in the hips and the like.

  6. First we would give, then, that there be the preparation by self of Fume Baths. These should be taken in a cabinet and prepared with a teaspoonful of Witchhazel to the pint of boiling water that would produce the fumes. Following this there should be a brisk, thorough rubdown, with a coarse towel. These we would take once or twice a week.

  7. Periodically we would take internally Eno Salts; a teaspoonful each morning in a whole glass of water before breakfast (and drink another glass of water afterwards). Do this each morning for three to four days straight running. This is not habit forming in the manner suggested. After leaving this off a week or ten days, have another series, and so on.

  8. After having had three, four or five of the Fume Baths and thorough rubdowns, also a series or two of the Eno Salts, - we would begin making corrections osteopathically in the area of the upper cervicals, extending especially to the third and fourth cervical, first, second and third dorsal, and through the lumbar and sacral area. Five or six of these should be sufficient.

  9. We will find that these should correct the conditions. Then only occasionally would it be necessary for the Fume Bath or for the series of the Eno Salts.

  10. Ready for questions.

  11. (Q) What is my general physical condition? (A) As indicated, the general physical condition is very good. These corrections should be made now, but - save for the osteopathic adjustments after the system has been partially cleansed - these can be made better by self than by going to others. But these Fume Baths should be in a cabinet.

  12. (Q) Any advice regarding diet? (A) Keep closer to leafy vegetables and fruits, rather than meats or vegetables of the bulbular or tubular nature.

Do these and, as we find, we will bring much better conditions for this body, and we should keep it free of disturbances for many, many days - many, many months - even years.

  1. We are through with this reading.
