This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 17th day of October, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - [3298], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mrs. [3008].

Born October 26, 1904, at 10:20 A. M., 7138 Harvard Ave., Chicago, Illinois. Time of Reading 3:40 to 4:05 P. M. Eastern War Time. Chicago, Illinois.

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: (My! How many times this entity has entered and then passed out - but what a beautiful baby!)

3. We have the records here of that entity now known as or called [3298]. In giving the interpretations, these we choose with the desire and purpose that this information may be a helpful experience for the entity; enabling the entity to better fulfil the purposes for which it entered this sojourn. And the purpose is to make and be a home builder - and the sooner this is begun the better in every way for the entity.

4. While there are faults, there are also virtues. We would magnify the virtues and minimize the faults.

5. The entity, however, is among those that were Atlanteans, and the entity then made some very violent choices. So in the present there will be an extremist; either very good or - to the self - a complete failure.

6. Naturally the entity, though, is an organizer, and would make the better choice in organizing the home; though it may adapt itself - as it has done - to many varied circumstances. The entity is a very good technician, and not a bad politician; for it may wind people in the way or direction it would choose - when it sets its head to do such. The entity is naturally inclined towards figures thus as a secretary, as a bookkeeper, the entity might do well; yet this will become drudgery to the entity.

7. As indicated, then, the entity would do well to fulfil that it began to undertake even in Atlantis, and that it has in one manner or another blocked through varied experiences in the earth.

8. This will not be easy, yet the intent and purpose is for the building of a home.

9. The entity needs to be loved by someone the entity loves, and would - through such - make those activities and contributions to social welfare that would be far-reaching in their effect.

10. Astrologically we find Uranus, Jupiter, making rather a unique urge in the experience of the entity, that which feels very strongly and at times is very different over the same question or subject - for it would answer entirely different at one time from another, and yet be sincere and honest with self in doing so.

11. The entity is inclined towards benevolence; inclined to forgive and yet not forget too easily. Oft the entity makes promises to self and because of attitudes of others never quite meets the obligation in self.

12. We find in Venus the ability to endear self to others.

13. Thus the leader, - as in Uranus, Jupiter and Venus. And whether these take a turn for social, political, or just plain factional purposes, the entity can direct or keep its group in line easily.

14. Thus the entity, in a household, would make an orderly home.

15. As to the appearances in the earth, these have been quite varied. The interests that were manifested in the earth are only partially in keeping with those indicated in Uranus, Jupiter and Venus. For, these would indicate experiences of special interests in the unusual, or pertaining to the occult. Yet these are not especially interesting; the unusual, yes; but to the entity the unusual is in the emotional self, as indicated from Uranus as well as the Atlantean experiences of the entity. For these have left their impressions, because of the close relationships to spiritual as well as material things.

16. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during those periods in Dearborn when the entity, with a group, fled from the incoming influences, and with others crossed the Ohio where the associates and companions were widely separated.

17. The activities of the entity following those experiences were in home building, in portions of now Cleveland, Toledo and about that area. The entity builded influences into a home that have been far-reaching in the affairs of the land. For the entity was in that family from whose offspring later came that one known as Garfield who directed the affairs of state in this particular land.

18. Then the entity, in the name Lelia, questioned; eventually builded purpose, stamina, strength of purpose into the minds of those of its own household.

19. Before that the entity was in the French land, during the periods of the Crusades and the entity was left alone by its companion, which made for a hardness - by the demands, and the manner in which precautions were taken as to activities during the journey of the companion. Hence there were hardships, not only in relation to the opposite sex, but fears and doubts about relationships with the opposite sex.

20. Hence in the present the questioning favors, and also the doubts. There is the ability to attract others, and yet the ability to cause questions as to closer relationships.

21. Then in the name Marcia Fleucheur, the entity lost, the entity gained. Then there was no activity in home building. For, with the freedom from same, anything else but associations with its companion was favored by the entity - but affairs of the world.

22. Before that the entity was in Laodicea, when there were the activities in the church that caused turmoils between the leaders as well as the associates in the area.

23. The entity was among those that were against all of the activities propounded by Paul, and favored Lucius in the activity in the church. For the entity then acted in the capacity as a deaconess, and contributed to the welfare work in all the churches throughout Asia, as well as in Palestine and the northernmost portion of Africa, and Rome.

24. The entity then was known for its good works, in the name Anna.

25. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, when there were the preparations for the new activities following the death of the Priest, - the entity having been acquainted and associated with the Priest during the latter portion of his sojourn in the earth.

26. With the establishing of homes, the entity then was among those who aided the leader in such in establishing them in varied portions of the land.

27. Hence the entity became the matchmaker of that particular period; not always selecting as each individual would have done, but the entity’s word became law - under the direction of the companion of the wife of the King, or of the Priest and the associate of the King in that period.

28. In its activities the entity excelled. And its abilities as the leader, the ability to have its way, arise much from those accomplishments through that particular period. The interest in home, in things where detail is required, arises from those experiences.

29. The name then was Ent-Ta.

30. Before that the entity was in Atlantis, just before the periods of the division, or second division of the land, during those activities when Amileus was in the position of carrying forward ideals.

31. The entity was of that household and thus of the children of the Law of One; yet chose companionship among the sons of Belial causing consternation among those of Amileus’ activities, and brought confusion and eventual destruction in the use of spiritual things for material benefits and appetites.

32. The name then was Eszra.

33. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain and how:

34. As indicated, the entity may materially accomplish that it desires in a social activity as would pertain to social service, the greater abilities being in that direction of secretarial work or timekeeper or the like.

35. The accomplishments may be, the greater spiritual and mental gain may be, in home building.

36. Do “make up” with that individual with whom the entity has felt itself to be in love. He was the companion when the entity’s activities excelled in the Egyptian experience, and there will be needed many corrective purposes. But be of one mind, one purpose, and you will excel in making many, many, call thee blessed.

38. (Q) Did I do the wrong thing in breaking with Bill as I did? (A) Read just what has been given.

39. (Q) I feel that somehow I have failed him. (A) Read just what has been given.

40. (Q) Will I marry in this present life? (A) Read just what has been given. This is a choice of self. There should be wedded life. There should be the home building. There should be the activities in aiding many groups pertaining to work of this nature.

41. (Q) Am I suited to my present job? (A) Very well.

42. (Q) Is Chicago, a good location? (A) If you would move farther east it would be better.

43. (Q) I have been advised by several people to write, but writing seems arduous to me. If, however, I should write, on what subjects and along what lines? (A) Home building and group leading, organized efforts for special classes or groups or activities, are the outlets for the entity’s abilities - if home building is taken on.

44. (Q) What is the nature of my Karma in connection with a person in this existence called “Walter?” (A) We don’t find a karmic condition other than that builded from an acquaintanceship in Atlantis. Don’t let it spoil the entity’s abilities or purposes.

45. (Q) Was there an association in former times with Bill? (A) As just indicated, companions in the Egyptian experience, when one of the greatest accomplishments was in home building.

46. (Q) How can I improve myself and make myself more useful? (A) Study to show thyself approved unto God. Know what ye believe. Know that all is founded on spiritual things, not material. Don’t let that happen to thee which happened in the Atlantean experience; that of self (or appetite) using - or being used for the moment - to cause stumblings rather than building.

47. (Q) What lessons did I come here to learn? (A) Patience and persistence.

R1. 11/11/43 Mother [3412]‘s letter: ”…My daughter’s life reading was very interesting and helpful but we feel we need more constructive help on how to accomplish the “home making” angle. I had expected to get a letter to you explaining how much and how very vital to her - her life reading was and how she had looked forward with such expectation to it. We understood the reading would be an hour in length but it covered only 25 minutes - perhaps that is the reason she did not get more explicit help on how to accomplish what the reading recommended. I am writing now to ask if my life reading scheduled 11/24/43 EWT could be postponed two or three weeks so that thru my reading she might get some help, if we could ask a question to that effect. I want to help her all I can but don’t know what to do… I am so grieved over my daughter’s unhappiness. I do want her to have a full complete life. She is so fine, kindly, disposed toward every one and so capable and able to do so much good and be of service…”

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Working overtime of late has prevented me from writing sooner to thank you for my Life Reading. I had already decided that I must have lived at one time in both France and Egypt, and it was very interesting to me to have the reading confirm this.

Hearing from Mrs. [3006] that you are so deluged with mail as a result of Mrs. Bro’s article in Coronet, I hesitate to inflict another letter upon you, but did want to express my deep appreciation. The reading tells me to do what I have always wanted to do but have in some way been prevented from, and have no opportunity for at present. What bothers me is - is just trying to have faith that an opportunity will come enough? Or is there some definite action that I should take right Now? I would like to ask this as a check question, and imagine it would be better to ask it during Mother’s Life Reading than during my Physical?

Am enclosing check for 40.00 to cover the other two readings, having paid already for one for Mother and one for myself. Also, 5.00 for the Living Sponsorship.

The questions for my Physical Reading on Saturday, November 20, 10:30 to 11:30 E.W.T. are submitted herewith, and shall be at home in my room meditating at that time.

Mother [3412] is enclosing questions for her physical reading on the 19th of November, Friday, 3:30 to 4:30 E.W.T. She wrote to see if her Life Reading, Wed. November 24, 10:30 to 11:30 E.W.T. could be postponed for about two weeks. But knowing that you are deluged with correspondence, should we not hear definitely in time, will send along questions for the time as reserved on November 24th.

In October of 1943, as you no doubt recall, Mr. Edgar Cayce gave you a life reading in which he counseled reconciliation and marriage with a young man with whom you had a romance.

We are at present conducting an intensive study of the life readings, and it is of interest and value to our research to know in which cases his clairvoyant advice proved itself to be valid.

We would, therefore, deeply appreciate it if you would send us word as to the outcome of that situation, together with any comments you might care to make as to the accuracy or value of the reading in other respects. Naturally all such information is held in strictest confidence, and if use is made of a case in our publications, a careful anonymity is maintained.

Dear Miss Cerminara, My apologies for being so long in answering your letter of August 27th but conditions here have been unsettled.

In answer to your question, a sincere attempt over a period of months was made to effect the reconciliation counseled but it was not successful. As I had unlimited faith in Mr. Cayce this was a little confusing. However, I was in poor health then and the outcome seemed to fit my astrological progressions for that time. I do feel that Mr. Cayce’s Life Reading was very helpful in indicating my present problems and difficulties. I had a strong feeling myself that I had lived in both France and Egypt and this he confirmed.
