Time of Reading 3:30 to 3:45 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, La.
-
GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: (One [house] with the trees.)
-
Yes - we have the body here, [3302].
-
As we find, there are disturbances that may be helped; though some of these conditions are karmic and must then - be met in the individual self.
-
These arise from mental and spiritual conflict with the flesh. The manifestations become in the form of adhesions and lesions that were produced from an injury received when the body in this experience was quite young.
-
The administrations of various natures that have been given have at various times worked hardships upon the mental control of the body. During those periods when the changes came about - from twelve to fourteen - better experiences were had. These suddenly changed, for the cycle at fourteen would not remove those disturbances in the areas where re-creation in glandular forces would create normal physical beings. Thus shadows again overcame the body. These became suddenly more violent - and these lasted a while, then the change wrought helped momentarily (in a life experience) or for a few periods at the time.
-
Hence we find we would add these:
-
It will be necessary for a time to continue to administer the sedatives, but unless this treatment we will outline is to be carried through exactly as given, don’t begin it.
-
If there is the decision to follow this treatment, begin with these:
-
Once each month, a few days before the regular time for the Period, we would apply hot Castor Oil Packs over the lacteal duct and caecum area. Apply these for one hour each day for three days in succession, during the week before the Period.
-
When removing the Oil Pack each time, sponge off the body - from the gall duct, or just below the rib area on the right side to the lower portion of the abdomen and through the caecum area, or where the Oil is applied, - with the mild soda water. Then gently massage this whole area, - the abdomen and the spine, - with this combination of oils:
Olive Oil…2 ounces, Peanut Oil…2 ounces, Russian White Oil (or Nujol or Usoline)…2 ounces, Pine Needle Oil…1 ounce.
-
Massage into the body all that it will absorb, each time after removing the Packs - which would be three days in succession each month, just before the Period.
-
On the evening of the third day of using the Packs, take internally a tablespoonful of Olive Oil.
-
Also, as a tonic, we would take a compound prepared in this manner:
-
To one gallon (by measurement) of the dried Passion Flower add one and one half gallons of distilled water. This should include the flower, the leaf and stem of the Passion Flower, crushed fine; not ground but crushed in the hands. Let this set, not until it sours, but a little while, and it will almost absorb all of the water. This should set for about two and one half hours. Then add one half gallon more of distilled water, and let it come to a good boil; not boiling long but a good boil. Do not use aluminum, but either glass or enamelware. Then strain off and let it set. Then syphon all of the clear, none of the sediment that settles in the bottom. Add then sufficient grain alcohol to be a preservative. This should be judged by the chemist, as to the quantity needed. Only use grain alcohol, of course; not any other kind. Let the compound be cool, of course, before adding the alcohol.
-
Take this as a tonic. Let it gradually (not at first, but gradually) supplant all other sedatives. Take a teaspoonful about every three hours (not during the night, of course, but during the waking period) until this whole quantity is taken. Then leave this off for a period, and then prepare another quantity. But continue each month to have the Oil Packs and massages as indicated.
-
Do these, and we will find better conditions if the attitude of mind, of body - not only of the entity, but of those about it - is kept in accord with Creative Forces.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Is it possible for her to be able to walk and talk? (A) It will be if these massages and applications are made.
-
(Q) Is it possible for her to become normal? (A) It is possible. The probability depends upon the sincerity. Don’t grow weary of well-doing in making the applications here suggested. Because it may require the whole period of a cycle, don’t grow weary with it but do it - and it’ll be worthwhile for all.
Read oft the 30th of Deuteronomy, and the 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th of John - those who would attend this body.
-
(Q) What was the nature of the injury received? (A) This was during birth.
-
We are through with this reading.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 5/9/44 Sister’s letter: “I spoke with you Sunday night in regard to a reading which you gave me in October of last year. You advised me to write giving you a little more information, in order that I might receive a copy of the reading.
“The reading was for my sister, [3302] and it was in the beginning of October about 4:30 in the afternoon.
“We have had quite a bit of trouble in finding someone to fill this prescription for us, but, now that we have found a druggist who will, we find that we have mislaid the original copy of the reading.
“The passion flower extract is being used in place of the passion flower as we were unable to locate this flower. When, and if, we do, we will then have the flower mixed with the different ingredients.”
R2. 5/12/44 Copy of reading sent.
R3. 7/60 Notes on EPILEPSY cases from the Edgar Cayce records made by Walter N. Pahnke, M.D. at A.R.E., Virginia Beach, Virginia.
The following notes were taken on cases as read and are merely the opinion of the abstractor at the time he read the case plus the correspondence. The main value of these notes is that they give some indication of what the exact diagnosis in each case may or may not be.
Case [3302]. Given in 1943. Female, 18 yrs. old. This case was classified in group 1. The history describes convulsions since the age of 2 years. This is probably another case where epilepsy was complicated by mental retardation, because at the age of 18 the patient still could not walk or talk. This was apparently due to birth injury. The reading indicated that it might take a whole 5 or 7 years for cure. There was no follow-up.

B1. Sister’s comment: Can’t walk or talk - has had convulsions since 2 years old - been taken to many doctors - no one knows the cause.
