This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of October, 1943, in accordance with request made by the sister - Miss […], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Margueritte Harmon Bro.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Margaret S. Rackett, Margueritte H. Bro. and Mr. [3321]”s sister.]

Veterans Administration Time of Reading Hospital, 3:45 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern War Time. Roanoke, Va.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body and those conditions physical and mental that are present with same.

  3. As we find, there may be administrations to ease somewhat. As to correcting entirely, no. These have reached such proportions that there is the lack of the ability to supply - in the present conditions of the organisms - that to recreate the energies in the CONTROLLING of nerves for them to be entirely rebuilded.

  4. These conditions, of course, are gradually progressive in their nature.

  5. To make for a better supply of energies in the coordinated centers, we would give the body a massage at least twice each day with these oils that may be absorbed:

Usoline or Nujol as the base…6 ounces, Olive Oil…2 ounces, Peanut Oil…3 ounces, Oil of Pine Needles…1/4 ounce.

  1. Shake these together and massage the body at least twice each day, all the body will absorb. Sponge off the body with quite hot water before giving the massage, especially along the spine. In the massage, give particular attention to the coordinated centers specifically in the sympathetic and cerebrospinal areas; that is, the brachial or upper dorsal area, extending from the 3rd cervical to the 5th and 6th dorsal, and from the 9th dorsal to the end of the spine.

Also include the muscular centers in the arms, forearms, hands, in the thighs, the knees and the feet; but more along the cerebrospinal system. Once each day it would be well also to include the abdomen in the massage. Such massage should be given, preferably, by a masseur or masseuse.

  1. Here, the addition of Gold would have been most helpful something like six months ago, but now it would be irritating.

  2. The vibrations of Camphor and Silver may stay the condition; though it will be rather hard on an extremely disturbed physical and mental body, unless there is a good massage given the body even while the application of the Silver is being made.

  3. Use these vibrations through the regular charge of the Wet Cell Appliance, making the attachments each day for thirty minutes; one day using the Silver Solution (in the proportions of one ounce of a two percent Silver Solution to two ounces of an equal combination of distilled water and grain alcohol); the next day using Spirits of Camphor (commercial strength - three ounces).

  4. Each day the large plate would be attached to the umbilical and lacteal duct center, or - on this body four fingers from the navel center to the right and two fingers up from that point.

  5. When using the Silver Solution, attach the small plate at the 3rd cervical.

  6. The next day, when using the Camphor Solution, attach the small plate at the 4th lumbar center.

  7. These, as we find, offer help - but will be slow, will be tedious - but the massage will aid the most.

  8. The diet should consist of easily assimilated foods; that is, those that might be called the semi-solids and that are given toward a great deal of proteins.

  9. Ready for questions.

  10. (Q) Would it be advisable to try to move him? If so, where? (A) If the applications can be made where he is, remain where he is. If not, move to a place where someone can take care of these applications - a trained person, or a nurse.

  11. (Q) What is there that we who love him can do to make him as comfortable in his mind as possible? (A) Only in the attitude of self towards all conditions that exist, as in relationship to the manifestation of the love felt.

  12. (Q) What can we do to make him as physically comfortable as possible? (A) Just as we have tried to explain.

  13. (Q) Can you name a doctor whom we can ask to carry out the instructions obtained from this reading? (A) Any good masseuse.

  14. (Q) Is there any other advice? (A) These things indicated, as we find, offer the greater opportunities for help.

  15. We are through with this reading.
