1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane; giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: (In going back over the years from the present - ” - ‘33 - ‘34 changes - ‘23 what anxieties - ‘13 - 1903 - ‘93 - yes, Star Bacon would make a good sign or seal for the body.”)

3. In interpreting the records as we find them here for this entity, we would choose from these that which may be helpful in the influence of the entity if there is kept that attitude of magnifying the virtues and minimizing the faults in others as well as in self. Yet never think more highly of self than one ought, ever using not others as thy guide in analyzing thy purposes or intents, remembering ever that as ye forgive ye may be forgiven. As ye treat others, the way ye treat thy fellow men ye treat thy God, whether in spite or in love, whether in jealousy or condonance, whether in affection or spite.

4. Thus the pattern ever should be not merely the tenets instigated, manifested, that were ever a part of the manifestation of the man Jesus, but as demonstrated and taught by the Christ and His associates and followers in the earth. Sow ever seeds of the spirit of truth. For each entity, each soul is responsible for that place where it is. Then let thy light so shine as to be ever as a light unto those who sit in darkness.

5. In giving those experiences of the entity in the earth, and the other dimensions through which the entity may pass that give innate and manifested experiences:

6. We find influences in Mars, in Mercury, in Jupiter, in Venus. Thus the entity has a very active mind, ever setting up standards for groups or individuals or for those activities of those with whom the entity may be associated; not in a dictatorial manner but rather as one that would be helpful in such.

7. Then the entity is the natural teacher, the natural director of certain characters of activities, and especially - even in the present - of that which has to do with the outdoors. And as we find, even in the present, if the entity would apply itself to physical education for the teenage, especially girls we wold find not only harmony within self but a channel through which the entity may shine out as an example, in which many in all walks of life may be aided.

8. Remember, in such a program to include first spiritual education, next physical - that of exercise, that of proper dress, proper tone of hair, proper care of hair, proper care of body, proper activities that will bring out the better attributes of each individual. For all may have heads and eyes, feet and arms, and a body, yet all may put them to different usages - but all to the glory of God. For God, the Lord thy God is ONE!

9. Physical, mental, spiritual education, social activities all should be to one purpose. Not too much of the satisfying of the emotions but that the body as the temple of the living God may be a more beautiful place for thine own worship as well as those that may be directed by the activities of the entity.

10. In Mercury we find the mental ability, in Jupiter the universal consciousness, in Venus art, music, reading. All of these should become a part of the entity’s activity. Just as in the physical, train those of various temperaments as to what they should read, as to what they would do about their abilities as home makers, as clerks, as secretaries or stenographers or whatever the choice, that there should be decorum in their activity as befits one using such activities - to the glory of one purpose, and that purpose not self but using such abilities to the glory of God - and then they will ever be to the honor and to the helpfulness of self.

11. Those are the tenets, the truths that the entity should apply in its activities.

12. As to the experiences in the earth, while there have been quite a few, not all may be given, but these that indicate the activities in the earth and how these may apply to the experience of the entity in the present sojourn.

13. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, in and about what is now called the Mohawk Valley, when there were the earth settlers in the land.

14. The entity was among those in the forts that wee set up in various places for the physical protection, and the entity gave much spiritual and moral protection by the application of the tenets and truths that the entity sought, that the entity had been told, and that the entity experienced as being needed for the developing lives of strong-bodied, long-waisted mothers, while other physical conditions were considered for those better fitted in other activities.

15. Thus did the entity contribute much, as Molly Schultzs. The entity gained, and may yet add much to that which may be most beneficial to young people in their preparations for activities through their material sojourns in the earth.

16. Before that the entity was in the Norse land when there were those expansions, in the periods of what would now be called the low lands and portions of France that were being settled by the Norse people.

17. The entity then was among those that journeyed with those who desired to make new environs and new settlings.

18. Thus innately the entity is ever desiring to try something new. This is well, provided the basis of such is builded upon truth. For truth in any clime is ever the same - it is law. And love is law, law is love. Love is God, God is Love. It is the universal consciousness, the desire for harmonious expressions for the good of all, that is the heritage in man, if there is the acceptance of the way and manner such may be applied, first in the spiritual purpose and then in the mental application, and the material success will be pleasing to any.

19. Then in the name Olzon, the entity was one who spread the gospel of the freedom of body, the freedom of woman to choose for herself rather than being dictated to by her elders before being of age to consider choice as to companionship for self.

20. Thus hardships in material things, and yet determination - that is a part of the experience of the entity in the present. And that it feels and is assured within self answers to what it has set as an ideal, in social or moral, or even in economic activities, the entity forges towards it - irrespective of what may be the consequences from others that disagree.

21. This is not to this entity hardheadedness; rather is sureness, which is much better than being stubborn without knowing why.

22. Before that the entity was in the Promised Land when there were those entering under the leadership of Joshua. The entity saw those changes wrought by the characters in the leader Moses and the general or leader Joshua. These are not often stressed, and yet if analyzed in the experiences of individuals, as to the activities of such a leader in times when definite changes occurred, one may judge well from such choices made as to what might be the own principle in choosing directions, coming under varied environs. And some to whom this will come will experience such shortly.

23. In the choice then, let it be ever according to that principle set by Joshua, and yet never given full expression to - although being a man chosen of God, spoken to directly in those preparations for activities of man among themselves in the creation of law and order, morals and health, and relationships with others as ever set forth by Joshua - “Others may do as they may, but for me and my house, we will serve the living God.” Not a dead past, but a living God. For as He gave, He is God of the living, not of the dead.

24. Then stir not up nor look back upon those things that have been. Use those rather as steppingstones. Even that which has been as a stumbling stone set aright in thy life, may be the prop for the next step in thy experience.

25. There the entity was among those that became as an associate or companion of one set in authority in the temple. Thus those activities pertaining to whether this or that moral code, this or that routine, this or that secular force as applied in various groups today, oft become a large question mark before the entity. Know, as has been given, God looks on the heart, not on the outward appearance. A rose by any other name may be just as sweet. So may an individual by any name. What is the purpose? The church, the God-force, is within self; not in the name that may be added by man. That oft becomes the stumbling stone to man. For to such there is limitation, and who can limit God? Who would limit the Master? Who would limit self, in God’s direction?

26. In the experience then the entity gained, for that applied in the study and the analyzing of these two Biblical characters may be well for the entity in the present, not only in the applying to self. But first to self, then to those whom the entity would direct in their activities in a physical education.

27. The entity could play a pretty good game of tennis at one time. Keep it up. Teach others to play also.

28. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land during those periods when thee were turmoils and strifes, when there were rebellions that brought about many changes.

29. The entity was among those of the groups of the Natives that followed very slowly into the acceptance of the activities of the Native who led the rebellion. But with the return of the Priest, the entity became very active in the Temple of Sacrifice.

30. Thus there is innate within the entity the knowledge of the needs of sacrifice. So few, so few individuals learn the lesson that there must be sacrifice in self if one would learn the lesson. For, remember, it was given of him, “Though He were the Son, yet learned He obedience through the things which He suffered.”

31. It is well for this entity, then, to set days or periods when it would abstain from this or that. Not merely as routine but that the body, the mind may be brought under subjection of the spirit of truth.

32. The name then was Nu-Norn.

33. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain and how:

34. Apply self rather in physical education having to do especially, directly, with the teen-age girls, in a physical, mental and spiritual manner. Let it include all forms of activity, but especially keep outdoors for the entity as much as possible.

35. Ready for questions.

36. (Q) How can I develop to the fullest my potentiality? (A) In following those things indicated. First, analyze and study the characters indicated - Moses as the lawgiver, Joshua as the leader. These are the basic principles of all material law. And these applied in the mind and body of Jesus became the way. Do thou likewise.

37. (Q) Should I affiliate with any particular church organization? (A) A particular church organization is well. For it centers the mind. But don’t get the idea that you have the whole cheese.

Greetings!

In November 1943 I had a psychic reading from Mr. Cayce. In the reading it was suggested I devote myself to the Physical and Spiritual education of teen age girls.

Soon after that I was requested to run for office on the City Counsel for Comm. of Recreation - I thought the opportunity had presented itself for following through the suggestion given in the reading. However, due to my over activity in volunteer war work I had a physical breakdown which necessitated our selling our home and coming down, or rather up, to the mountains.

Seven months complete rest has done wonders and now the only thing I find that might do some good and doesn’t take too much exertion is the establishing a circulating library which seems badly needed in this small mountain town.

I am writing all this only so you may know I have seriously studied my reading and felt I should report my desire to follow as far as possible the outline of activity suggested.

R2. 11/2/47 [3350]‘s letter to Thomas Sugrue:

My dear Mr. Sugrue-

Have been eagerly awaiting a new book from you - your letter dated June 24, 1943 stated you were gathering material for it.

Saw your name recently in the “Psychic Observer” - at that time you were in New York but I am writing to the only address I have.

Just before the death of Edgar Cayce I sent my dues to the “Association for Research and Enlightenment” after receiving the notice of his passing. The letters and pamphlets stopped coming - has the organization been dissolved?

Have always been most grateful that I had a life reading from Mr. Cayce and I feel his passing was a great loss to the world.

Kindly let me now if your new book is off the press and where it is obtainable.

I wrote you before from … - have since bought a home in the … Mountains - my new address is below. My best wishes to you and again, thank you for writing “There Is a River.”

Your letter of November 2nd, addressed to Mr. Thomas Sugrue, has been referred to us.

We are very pleased to inform you that the Association is still tabulating and studying the records left by Mr. Cayce.

According to our records, you have a credit with us in the amount of $7.50. During the confusion which followed Mr. Cayce’s death, your records were misplaced. This accounts for your not having heard from us recently.

Under separate cover, we are sending you samples of our regular periodicals, a membership blank, and publication list. Please list the items in which you are interested on the membership blank and return it to us.

You will note from the enclosed DL that an Association Congress will be held in Los Angeles, Calif. on April 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Perhaps it will be possible for you to attend this series of meetings.

It’s good to hear from you again and we look forward to keeping in close touch with you from this time on.

I am one of the fortunate ones who had the greatest privilege of one of Mr. Cayce’s life readings… I treasure it along with some of the other material I have received through your organization.

My dear Mr. Cayce -

After reading Mr. Sugrue’s “There Is A River” I feel impelled to write you.

Your philosophy as outlined is to me an answer to years of search for a reason for my being - or anyone’s being for that matter.

It has seemed to me that individuals worked and studied for years, yet when they acquire a little knowledge and wisdom that might assist them in living their lives a little more intelligently, they are too old to do much about it.

Your revelations have opened the door to an amazing new world of thought. I’ve never been satisfied with Religion, with all the doctrine and dogma as taught in the churches. I’ve sought, thru the study of every religion I’ve been able to dig up - SOMETHING I could BELIEVE in and not just accept in blind faith.

Isn’t there some way I can learn more from you? If Mr. Sugrue could be persuaded to write another book giving more of your philosophy in detail - how avidly it would be read!

Would it be possible for me to secure a life reading? I know you are an extremely busy man but will you advise me if it can be arranged?

My dear Mr. Cayce -

Please pardon me if I presume to intrude myself and my letters into your busy life but - reading and rereading all the now available material I have at hand concerning your work and philosophy I feel like shouting - at last the light appears! I’ve been burrowing underground, mentally, so long and having finally decided the Bible was a myth and religion was for morons and IF there were life after death I’d never know until I experienced it - now life has a very definite meaning.

All philosophies and religions are based on one fundamental fact - the existence of God (of some kind) - This I have never doubted - I never could understand Christ - Going back through history we find crucified Gods dating back to 1200 B.C. No I think the first history gives is 506 B.C. something like sixteen down through the ages. So I couldn’t give any credence to our particular Christ story.

Now however I can understand that these men were a result of rebirth approaching the quality of perfection - they were probably in their last appearance on this plane and having finished their development they were able to more or less point the way.

Which leads me to believe you are reaching the height of your development and while I am not young enough to rebuild my entire life, I am eager to develop to the fullest my potentiality - I regret not finding you before but am grateful to have found you at all.

There’s little need for me to tell you anything about my self as you will know all when you give the reading. I’m rather an aggressive person and O the terrible blunder I’ve made! There has always seemed to be some invisible force impelling me on - I sincerely believe I’ve hurt no one - even yet I’m not exactly proud of myself - the “me” inside that no one knows. I’m sending in my application for membership - right now - the years are so short and I’ve so much to learn - I don’t relish the idea of making too many trips back to this particular plane.

I have no church affiliation - tho I have studied and searched for SOMETHING to believe in.

My dear Mrs. [3350]

Thank you for yours of the sixteenth. It is such letters as yours that cause me to realize the responsibility as goes with the opportunity of trying to live and be a servant of the Living God. I only hope and pray that we may be able to give you an answer to that hope that I am sure has ever been present with you. The first open period, Mrs. [3350] is the morning of November 5, 10:30 to 11:30 Eastern Wartime. That, I believe is 7:30 to 8:30 your time. We would ask that you keep the period in prayer and meditation. I believe I sent you the Life Reading data. I think if you look over this again, you will see that it is possible to ask questions that may answer many of the problems that possibly have disturbed you from time to time. If there are any questions that you wish to ask me about the work between now and the time for your reading, please don’t hesitate to make note of same and send them on.

I wish it had been possible for you to have been with us last week. While our Congress meetings that happen yearly have never been very large, I believe it has been a very helpful experience for all who have been able to attend these meetings. We hope that we may be able to send you a copy of the Congress booklet. This will possibly be ready within the next thirty days and may give you some help in the study of the information as is presented through these channels.

My dear Mr. Cayce,

I have read with great interest all the literature received from your Association.

Still there is great confusion in my mind - please do not think I am trying to promote an argument I am just searching

• rather desperately perhaps.

I realize there are many demands made on your time but if you could discuss these things with me, I shall be most grateful.

One thing that particularly puzzles me is why Jesus Christ is entitled to the adoration and worship that most religions give him. I realize that he had reached the stage of perfection - He gave us a perfect example of right living - we reverence Him but why should we worship Him - any more than we would worship Buddha whose life paralleled Christ’s - quite closely - he taught wiser perfection, enlightenment and self conquest - also Confucius who, even tho he lived four or five hundred years before the birth of Christ gave his followers the “Golden Rule” “Do not do unto others that which you yourself do not desire” - yet those who worship these personalities we think of as “heathen” - However it would seem that these men had also reached the stage of perfection or near perfection. Yet the only “God” to worship would be or should be rather, - The Great Creator or the Great Intelligence - the one great controlling force of the universe.

Even you refer to God as “Him” - that seems to confuse most minds by establishing “God” as a person which of course He cannot be.

How can God assist us in the development of an individual soul and hasn’t He put us here, possibly many times, to work toward our own perfection and isn’t it up to us to free ourselves from material things and cleanse our minds and it would seem that only by deep meditation whereby we may possibly glimpse dimly some previous lesson, enter learned or unlearned in some distant existence - we may be guided.

Each individual attuning themselves to the great spiritual force - will automatically become a better, stronger character and will reflect love and happiness if the “flesh is crucified” isn’t it our own blundering that makes it so? We’re just off the beam. If we attain to quiet, clear, constructive thinking can we not obviate the necessity of much suffering - again my question how can God do anything to help us out of the muddles we get ourselves into - when that after all is our destiny and this existence is a school room to which we have been sent by “God” to work out our own salvation or deliverance or whatever the riddle of existence presents to us. Therefore praying Him to help us would seem futile - there seems little sense to the prayer of supplication we each must dig deep - clear concise thinking and meditation would seem of great value.

If you have waded through my letter this far, perhaps you can get my line of thought - what can you say to me that may clarify things. There’s so much I cannot accept - I’ve been all through religious study, studying and rejecting - some how I feel I can get enlightenment from or through you.

Please do not think me presumptuous in writing as I have.

My life reading is coming up in November. I am allowed to ask things - mostly I want to know how far I’ve come on my trip to final perfection - how much have I accomplished in this existence - what was my particular problem and have I done anything toward solving it - what can I do toward my soul’s advancement?

My life hasn’t been particularly easy but, in the popular vernacular, I can take everything that’s dished out to me, I guess, if by doing so I can clear my vision and set my course in the right direction.

I most sincerely hope you can understand the urge that has impelled me to write as I have - I feel you will.
