This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 5th day of November, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3353], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the book, THERE IS A RIVER.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes - we have the impressions here - they were pretty good once.

3. Yes, we have those conditions that are problems and hindrances in the general physical and mental application of the abilities of this entity, [3353].

4. As we find, there are definite disturbances that exist in the balance in the pelvic center. This is indicated in the fourth lumbar and the lumbar axis. Here there was a strain, yes a bump that jarred the end of the coccyx bone. This, with this tendency for glands to become weakened, has set up a general pain through the sciatic and bursa of the feet - as in the frontal portion and in the heel, also the arch is tending to make for a very poor control of the ball of the feet in walking, standing.

5. First, as we find, there should be a correcting osteopathically of those subluxations that exist in the coccyx and in the lumbar and sacral axis, and then through those periods of correction massage the feet and limbs - especially from the knees down - with an equal combination of Olive Oil and Tincture of Myrrh. Heat the oil to add the Myrrh. Massage this into the areas every evening and every morning, all that the feet and knees will absorb. That this gives rather a good tan needn’t disturb the body for you should keep ‘em covered anyway.

6. But in adding to the body the proper chemical forces, do have the low Wet Cell Appliance to carry Gold to the body - to do away with the weakening of the muscular and nerve tension in the body. There would not be required too long a use of this, if done properly, but it will contribute much to prevention of disturbance later and to correcting conditions in the present.

7. The large plate, through which the Solution passes vibratorially, would be attached to the umbilical and lacteal duct plexus or - on this body - three fingers from the navel center to the right and three fingers up from that point. (Very pretty body!)

8. The small copper plate would be attached to the fourth lumbar.

9. In the massages, be careful with those proper corrections at the end of the spine, in the coccyx area and in the fourth lumbar. It is very well to coordinate the rest of the body with same, 9th dorsal, 1st and 2nd cervical, 3rd and 4th cervical, 3rd and 4th dorsal, but the corrections more in lumbar, sacral and coccyx. But the massages would be given daily.

10. Have at least two charges of the Gold Solution (one grain to each ounce of distilled water) and regular strength charging Solution for the Appliance.

11. Ready for questions.

12. (Q) Should any local application be used to relieve the painful feet? (A) This is a pretty good local application, if you rub them twice a day with the oils you’ll have a good job.

Dear Mr. Cayce,

Thank you for my reading of Nov. 5, 1943. It was revealing and most helpful!

After much searching I have procured an osteopath who says he will follow your instructions and will start Saturday - December 18, 1943.

About the Dry Cell. It calls for distilled water - which cannot be sent so I should get it here. Because of the war - druggists can no longer sell distilled water. They can not get enough for their own use in the store. What is your pleasure on this? Is there a substitute? I have not sent for the Dry Cell for the Gold treatment because of this. I regret not being able to start on the Gold treatment, but unless there is a substitute for the distilled water I will apparently have to wait for that. Would it be alright to take the Gold treatment later? No doubt others are meeting the difficulty too. The osteopath is

Dear Mrs. [3353]

Replying to yours of the 14th, don’t attempt to make your battery, if it’s the dry cell, you don’t need water. If it’s the appliance made by Mr. Godfrey you will need distilled water, which you can get from your ice plant, battery station. You will find, I believe, you can get this, it might be a little bit of trouble, but when you do get it, I believe you will meet with results, also if you get proper response from your Doctor. Thanks for Dr. Smith’s name and address. If he would like reference to others in his profession, he can call or might know Dr. Geo. Coulter of N.Y.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

The low Wet Cell appliance with gold purchased from Mr. Godfrey has arrived. There are no directions or instructions telling HOW LONG or how many minutes I should use this per treatment.

Will you please advise, how much time it requires each time to carry the right amount of gold to the body. You see I want to know how long to have the plates attached to me.

Thank you again. I am improving and hope soon to be able to report perfect health.

My dear Mrs. [3353]

Applying to yours of the 7th. The instructions for the use of the appliance that you received from Mr. Godfrey is in your reading, and if you will read that, you will see that it has told you just how much and it is to be applied. I am sure Mr. Godfrey did not send you the acid as goes to make up the solution and you will have to obtain that locally. You can get it from any drug store. Be sure that everything is in shape, and of course unless it is put together properly, it will not work properly. You won’t feel anything from the appliance, or few people do who are very sensitive, but there are few if they have properly prepared it but have gotten results from the appliance.

R6. 5/10/44 [3353]‘s letter to EC:

Dear Mr. Cayce,

May I have a check reading on my reading [3353-1]? Check enclosed. I was delayed, it too quite a while to get an osteopath. Then, after that, the crock or jar that I bought from Mr. Godfrey leaked and the solution ran out. Mr. Godfrey could not get me another and he said the new ones around here might leak. I finally found one here after MUCH searching.

As soon as I found a jar I sent for more chemicals to Mr. Godfrey and was able to start my treatments APRIL 29. My months treatment will be over May 29. I do wish you could give me a check reading then or as soon after as possible, I am anxious to know whether I will need any more treatments or not.

I will be at … Street School, …, N.Y., May 31 - between 10:30-11:30 when my physical check reading is given.

1. When will I be cured?
2. Is the osteopath giving the correct treatments?

My general condition is decidedly better. Recently there has developed great pain in my left ankle when I take a step. The left foot is very tender, a little red, very painful and difficult to move in the region I have marked [drawing was indicated]. (Redness on top of the foot, soreness goes way through, I walk with a little limp now, that is new too. 3. What can be done to correct this?

Large joints still red but going down and not so painful. Bottoms of feet still calloused and tender to walk on.

I am leaving here for the summer June 24th. If I am not cured before then may I resume in the fall or if I need an osteopath, do you have one to recommend in …, N.Y?

Please advise me what is best to do, God wants me to enjoy perfect health. My blessings and thanks to you.

Dear Mr. Cayce,

Thank you for your letter. I have read and digested your book and all materials you have sent me and am very anxious to become a member of your Association for Research and Enlightenment. I promise to abide by all the rules and will cooperate in every way. My check is enclosed.

Now about the reading. I am very, very anxious to have the physical reading as soon as possible. My feet are very painful, and since I teach I have to stand on them and use them all the time. I feel sure you can tell me just what to do and thus eliminate the pain they cause me. I like teaching so much, and wish I could be relieved of the pain. Sometimes I have feared I would have to stop.

As soon as I read your book I felt Edgar Case [Cayce] is the answer and I thanked God.

1. What is the cause of my sore feet?
2. How can I get rid of the bunions, callouses and corns on my feet? There are red swellings that come there too.
3. What can I do to make my feet strong and perfect. I am a teacher of little children. I love my work and foot comfort is essential.
4. What makes my toes numb? What will overcome this?
5. Is there any poison flowing through my system from my teeth, tonsils, bladder or from any other sources? If so does this effect my feet. Also what can I do about it?
6. Have I any tendency to arthritis? If I have what can I do to remedy it?
7. If any of these remedies that you suggest are rare or hard to obtain please tell me how to get them. Please give me exact and detailed directions in the treatment of my feet.
8. What make shoes should I wear, size and style? Where can I buy them?
9. I have soreness in my gums and mouth frequently. What should I do for this?
10. I have excessive sweats both in the day and at night without any emotional or physical reason. What can I do or take to help me?
11. How can I rid myself of headaches?
12. What can I do to keep built up so I can live a long, useful, happy, healthy life?
13. Are there any organic weaknesses in my body that I should guard against? If so what shall I do to overcome these tendencies of weakness?
14. What can I do for the lameness sometimes present in my joints and muscles.
