GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes - as we find, the continued seizures to which this body is subject are partially, primarily, from a pressure that exists in the coccyx area and in an enlargement at the 1st and 2nd cervical. This should be noted by the shadowgraf or x-ray, and then measures taken to reduce these conditions - but massage and the application of Packs of a nature that are alkaline in their reactions to the body. There ARE radiations and absorptions from the exterior portion of the body. If these are done, and then breaking up that lesion in the lacteal duct area, we may get results. On this body, this is (the lesion) just below the area where the gall duct enters with the secretions from pancreas and spleen, as well as where the fat is drained into the body through the activity of the ducts. Thus whenever there is the taking of food, the contraction begins.
-
But do break up those lesions in the 1st and 2nd cervical and in the coccyx first. This should be done, preferably, in an osteopathic manner, reducing these pressures by massage and the application of Packs of a nature that are alkaline in their reactions to the body.
-
Then, when these lesions are broken up in the 1st and 2nd cervical and in the coccyx, begin using for one hour each day for three days the hot Castor Oil Packs to break up the lesions in the lacteal duct area. After each Pack bathe off the area with a rather heavy soda water, hot, using a level tablespoonful of baking soda until dissolved in a pint of hot water. Then massage the area with an equal combination of Peanut Oil and Olive Oil. Massage this gently all the way to the caecum on the right side. This should be done, or may better be done, through the neuropathic manner, following the nerve centers to these areas, and relaxing the body through the emunctory and lymph centers in the frontal portion of the body - at the sternum or the lower end of the breast bone, and the upper portion of the cardiac entrance to stomach, and all about the navel center, as well as the pubic center. These should all be relaxed. Drain these areas neuropathically by the breathing that may be done, holding the 1st and 2nd centers in the cervical and drawing in the breath as deep as possible. These activities should set up drainages all along the frontal portion of the body.
-
On the evening of the third day of taking the Packs, take internally two tablespoonsful of Olive Oil.
-
This course of treatments, followed in the order and manner indicated, offers the greater possibilities for help. As to the response, as to what the response will be, this will depend on how much cooperation you can get from the body itself.
-
Do that.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Is the taking of dilantin harmful? (A) This necessarily becomes harmful, as it is a sedative that is gradually building up other disturbances through a portion of the mental body.
-
(Q) What is the cause of the internal itching of the rectum? (A) This is related to the conditions throughout the alimentary canal, from those lesions in the lacteal ducts. For these extend, of course, through the jejunum, but in the greater quantity are in the area indicated.
Do as given and we will find bettered conditions for this body.
- We are through with this reading.
Two copies to Father - (one for the osteopath - Please let us have his name and address.) Copy to Ass’n file ” ” Miss Goodall for indexing

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 7/60 at A.R.E., Virginia Beach, Virginia: Notes on EPILEPSY cases from the Edgar Cayce records made by Walter N. Pahnke, M.D.
The following notes were taken on cases as read and are merely the opinion of the abstractor at the time he read the case plus the correspondence. The main value of these notes is that they give some indication of what the exact diagnosis in each case may or may not be.
Case [3362]. Given in 1943. Male, 19 yrs. old. This case was classified in group 2. Convulsions were mentioned in the correspondence, but there was no description of them, or any indication of how long the patient had had the condition. There was no follow-up.

B1. 11/8/43 Letter to Mr. Cayce:
“The address of [3362] is … University, …, Connecticut. He will stay there during the time of the reading on November 16 from 10:30 to 11:30 A.M. EWT.
“Some questions we’d like to ask during the reading are:
- What is the cause of his convulsions?
- If an injury to the brain is the cause, why does he have digestive upsets and what is the cause of the internal itching of the rectum?
- Is the taking of dilantin harmful?
- Why do the seizures almost always come on him at meal time?
“We shall do our best to cooperate with you at the time of the reading.”
Very sincerely yours, […]
