This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 9th day of September, 1929, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [337].

Cayce Hospital, Time of Reading 105th Street,* 12:30 Noon - Eastern Standard Time. Virginia Beach, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [337]. This we have had before. Now, we find there are changes in the physical functioning of the body from that as we have had here before. Some of these are for much bettered conditions. Some are changed, or altered, and are in a manner ready for another change in the system. In so far as the eliminations being set properly, these are NOT wholly as yet in accord with the conditions as should be for the best functioning of the body. While the eliminations through the alimentary canal have been accentuated, so that the poisons are being carried out in a greater degree than they have heretofore, yet we find the according of the manipulations [osteopathically] have not been such as to keep or to prevent these from going or showing their effects in the system in other directions. The lymphatic circulation, naturally, is that as has suffered most from the existent condition, as is seen from that of the vegetative nerve system. The lymphatics - as show in the lower dorsal, the sacral these show the effects, or a strain here, and a relaxing of same has given those in the upper portion, or through the cervicals, a condition that is not satisfactory. Hence the tendency of irritation, not wholly to the physical - but to the mental as well.

2. Then, to meet the needs at the present time, we would continue for the present until the quantity given, at least, for the accentuation through the alimentary canal.

3. We would also keep those treatments for the exterior portion, or - as is seen through the effect of the violet ray, [hand machine, bulb applicator] over the whole surface of the body.

4. We would accentuate those eliminations through the upper

portions, or through the cervicals and upper dorsal, so that the effect of eliminations through the alimentary canal are kept in accord with the properties given.

5. We would ALSO stimulate those of the dorsal and sacral to accord with the system.

6. NOW we would use, over - especially the solar plexus and the lumbars - those of the ultra-violet ray, or DEEPER application of the same forces in a milder form - as have been applied. These should be (the manipulations) THOROUGHLY done, at least twice each week. The ultra-violet ray should be at least once OR twice each week, dependent upon the RESPONSE of the system to eliminations, for the stimuli as is received in blood stream as WELL as that in nerve plexus from manipulation AND that of the ultra-violet must accord with the proper eliminations, that these manipulations - or this tendency of poisons to come to the exterior portion, is eliminated - and this will be accomplished through this manner, followed as given. Ready for questions.

7. (Q) What causes the congestion of the lymphatics in the cervical area? (A) The over stimulation of the solar plexus and lower dorsal to that of the cervical, or the coordinating forces between hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus. Hence that as is given. To stimulate this through the hypogastric and pneumogastric forces, so that they coordinate in their activity.

8. (Q) What is causing the bloody stools? (A) The effect of those conditions as has been described, in the activity of the vegetative nerve system, as related to the alimentary canal.

9. (Q) How many osteopathic treatments will be necessary? (A) This dependent upon the response of the system, of course, to the active principles as are being used for the correction of the conditions in this body.

10. (Q) Why, after a good night sleep, does the body awaken feeling tired? (A) The very condition as has been described, as regarding how the lymphatic circulation is involved in the condition, and the incoordination between the eliminations of the system.

11. (Q) Should the body continue the same diet? (A) Continue the diet for the present.

12. That is all the questions.

13. Do these, as we have outlined, and we will find the conditions improving much faster for this body, Mrs. [337]. We are through with this reading.
