GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time with suggestions for further corrective measures, answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.
-
As we find, there are many changes in the general physical forces of the body. There have been periods of quite a bit of improvement. There are times when the activities of the incoordination between sympathetic and cerebrospinal systems cause upsets to the body; restlessness, indecisions, periods of disturbed digestion, headaches and general disorders through the body.
-
We find that these conditions should be eliminated entirely from the body if there will be the proper application of those things suggested, with some minor changes owing to the glandular disturbances or disorders.
-
About thirty minutes after whatever is the heavier meal of the day, we would take internally a teaspoonful of Milk of Bismuth and ten drops of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin stirred in a glass of water. Do this for about a week, then leave it off, then take it again. This should be kept up intermittently; that is, after there has been better eliminations established, better digestion taking place, it would not be necessary.
-
We would have those corrections osteopathically that have been indicated, or the massage, with the relaxing and not just hurrying through or making special adjustments in the areas where the disorders are indicated, of the incoordination between sympathetic and cerebrospinal system, but a gentle relaxing treatment with specific attention given in the 3rd cervical, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th dorsal, 9th dorsal and through the lumbar area.
-
Doing these, we will have better conditions for this body.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What is causing the sleeplessness? (A) As indicated, this incoordination between cerebrospinal and sympathetic systems. If there will be the relaxation or the producing of a better coordination between the cerebrospinal and sympathetic nervous systems, we will alleviate these disorders.
-
(Q) Disturbed mental condition? (A) The same conditions; of course, glandular disorders combined with this disorder between the nerves of the sympathetic and cerebrospinal systems make for these indecisions or the restlessness disturbing also the sleep at times.
-
(Q) Overactive kidneys and pain over the left kidney? (A) Through the 9th dorsal center where the disorders are there should be the relaxation so that better coordination is established in the circulation between liver and kidneys, and it would relieve these tensions. When there is pain apply a Glyco-Thymoline Pack over the area, using salt heat to keep it warm and to produce better absorption. This need only be applied when the pain is severe and should not be necessary when coordination is better established in the sympathetic and cerebrospinal systems. This coordination cannot be produced merely by making an adjustment but it requires stimulation of all those patches of the emunctory and lymph circulating between the sympathetic nervous system and the cerebrospinal system in those areas of the body.
-
(Q) Craving for sweets? (A) This is natural with the indigestion and the lack of proper activity of the pancreas. Eat a Jerusalem artichoke once each week, about the size of a hen egg. Cook this in Patapar paper, preserving all the juices to mix with the bulk of the artichoke. Season to taste. This will also aid in the disorder in the circulation between liver and kidneys, pancreas and kidneys, and will relieve these tensions from the desire for sweets.
Do not take chocolate in any form, especially as it is prepared in the present.
-
(Q) Uncomfortable feeling in left side? (A) This is a part of the same disorders.
-
(Q) Hot and cold flushes? (A) The inactivity of or the changes being wrought in the glandular forces. These may be corrected with the same manner indicated.
-
(Q) Would it be wise to use stilbestrol or some other prescription? (A) This will be very well provided the rest of the applications are made, if it will make for better activities in the body. As we find, better still would be the hormones that may be given by injection through this particular period. This would necessarily be under the direction of a physician - the male hormones injected into the body, about once or twice a month.
-
(Q) Should the violet ray be continued? (A) If this is applied just before retiring it will be the better. If it is not applied too long it is well for the body. Apply only about a minute and a half to two minutes.
-
(Q) Should the massages be continued? (A) Keep up the massages in the manner indicated, yes - just to make adjustments, no.
-
We are through with this reading.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 2/46 GD’s note: I had lunch with [3386], also wrote thank you note afterwards, and sent her address for Jerusalem artichokes. She has improved wonderfully through following her reading. Is being treated by C. T. Saunders [D.C.] and Mrs. Wood (reducing studio) in … Building.
R2. 2/18/46 Card: “The KalDak Co. has gone out of business. What will we do about that? KalDak did a big job in getting me on my feet again.”
R3. 5/11/46 [3386]‘s Report: Extreme nervousness, headaches, diarrhea, depressions, hot flushes. Extreme symptoms for several years; some still exist; have never been entirely free of them. At the present time much improved. Conditions not severe for some time. Under the directions of physician; estrogenic hormones, thysoil, sedatives for nerves and sleep, and other things of this type at different intervals. Followed the readings as outlined for three years with much improvement, but only near normal, not entirely free of symptoms. I do not consider that any of the doctors were completely cooperative, rather followed their own way of treatment.
R4. 7/12/46 Letter: “Isn’t this near artichoke season? Please tell me where I can get some. They are not common in the market… What are your people doing about Kaldak? We [my husband, [5224] and I] are missing out already. It did wonders for us.”
R5. 12/4/47 Letter: “I have wanted to get down to see you all… I still have the year old youngster [nephew] and he keeps us hopping too. His feedings, bathings, airings and washing his clothes just about fill my days. I am so thankful that I have had him through these lonely days. He has meant a great deal to me.” [Husband [5224], deceased, fall of ‘47]
R6. 3/26/49 Letter: “Do you have any little papers which would help to know one’s self? Myself causes me more trouble than everything else.”
R7. 2/3/52 Report: “Before my first reading I had had an operation called hysterectomy - the removal of uterus, ovaries and tubes (Fallopian). After the massage and the violet-ray apparatus the insomnia was much improved and in a few weeks I was sleeping like a baby and still am. Singing helps a great deal to keep myself in a cheerful frame of mind. At the time I was dreadfully morbid and depressed mentally caused by menopause, brought on prematurely by the drastic operation at my early age. My husband [5224] died 11/16/47. It is very lonely without him and I am looking forward to being with him in the not so far distant future.”
R8. 9/30/67 “It is interesting to get your notices, etc., from A.R.E. When I am able to I do attend meetings given here in D.C. at the Y.W.C.A.”
