This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 17th day of June, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3395], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time with suggestions for further corrective measures, answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, … Road, beautiful place! [3395]. Yes, we have the body here, [3395]; this we have had before.

3. As we find, in some respects, conditions have been on the improve, while apparently that reflex from the general nervous system, which arises from the disturbances in the colon, which causes the severe headaches, has been too severe an application; especially, of breaking through the shortwave, too long a period was given. This was given too much of a charge.

4. But we would increase the eliminations. Do keep close to the rest of the treatments but cut down on the amperage and the period of changing the vibrations through short-wave treatments. And if we do these we may be able to leave these off entirely, if the body is to remain outdoors a period of time almost each day.

5. But do keep the massage and the keeping of the colon clean.

7. (Q) What diet should be stressed? (A) Not too heavy a diet; that is, not too much meats, more vegetables. Fruits and nuts may be included or a few of the nuts. Not too many through these periods because these would ferment easily in the intestinal tract. Raw vegetables prepared oft with gelatin. Gelatine, ices, ice cream; all of these may be taken.

8. (Q) Have other treatments been properly followed? (A) Other than being too severe in some applications and not quite consistent in some others, see? This has increased headache. Do these things.

Remember these were a long time creating and we must set up a normal balance between the eliminating systems of the body.

Dear Miss Davis;

It is hard for even those of us who did not know Mr. Cayce well to think that he is gone, so I know how very difficult it must be for you and the others who were so close to him, to make the adjustment now.

In answer to your letter about the unfulfilled reading appointments, please just keep me on your books for the amount involved, and you can check it off against Active membership dues from year to year, and whatever publications you get out. I would like to keep in close touch for I am very much interested even though I may not be able to be of much help myself. I find the weekly readings, bulletins and your diary letters full of interest and help, and hope in time some more of the readings on special subjects may be gathered and published, especially on the life of Christ which should be invaluable.

I enclose a copy of my record of the appointments which we had ahead so that you can straighten out your own records if necessary in regard to them - it will not be necessary to write to them individually for they are all of them my children and grandchildren and I made all the appointments. There were ten of them altogether I believe.

Please change my address back to …, Illinois on March 31 as I shall be leaving for home soon after that.

Dear Mr. Cayce;

I am glad that you are able to carry on your father’s work, in making the information and inspiration he left available to more people. Of course we all terribly regret that we did not get in touch with him sooner. I have been especially helped by his philosophy, particularly of the life readings. I have my two life readings with me here, but I do not seem to find the physical reading. It may have been my own fault in not persisting long enough in carrying out the directions of the physical reading… I carried it on for awhile but my case of arthritis is of such long standing that nothing seems to reach it and as the program was quite arduous and it is hard for me to get about, I finally stopped trying. The arthritis does not bother me so much any more if I am quiet and rest a good deal and do not undertake things beyond my strength.

But I have been very much interested in the life readings. I think the analysis and the advice very helpful indeed. It seems I was one of those fortunate enough to have lived in the time of Jesus and I was completely overwhelmed when my reading said that I had “prompted Matthew to write his gospel”! I was so interested in this incarnation that I asked for a special reading on it and received it. I was also particularly impressed by the incarnation in “what is now Chicago”… Where I was “what today would be called a Salvation Army lassie”. In this one, “the entity promised in itself that if it would ever have the opportunity, it would tell every son of the love of Jesus…Ye have it now, today, in thy activities.” I am supremely thankful and happy that this in a measure has been true in that I have been privileged to participate in the activities of our company. Mr. Cayce outlined very clearly what our policy should be - that of the “middle of the road” - promulgating the principles upon which all people can agree rather than wasting time on controversial issues of religious faith, and this is what we have always attempted to do.

I hope more data can be published on the life of Jesus - especially of those “unknown years”…those treated in “The Aquarian Gospel”…I wonder if its material is accurate.
