This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce in Hopkinsville, Ky., this 9th day of June, 1911.

[Edgar Cayce; L. B. Cayce, Conductor; Addie L. P. Pool (?), Steno.]

Time of Reading 4:30 P. M. …, Ind.

  1. LBC: You have before you [34], …, Ind. Go over him carefully, examine him thoroughly, and tell us what his condition is now.

  2. EC: Yes, we have had him here before. The condition is bettered from what we have had before. The condition of the lesion formed at the upper cortex of the stomach, the upper part of the diaphragm to the stomach itself proper, is being benefitted by the stimulation that is being forced by the electrical force along the spine through the nervous force. The force of the gravity of the blood in itself here through the system, has been better impaired. The nerve supply to the self in itself, or to the will of the man, is not so much advanced as we might have it. It is slower than the rest of the system. You can build better on the physical man than you can on the mental.

  3. (Q) What other conditions do you find. (A) These are the main things, the difference in the body from what we have had before.

  4. (Q) How about his limbs. Does he handle his limbs any better. (A) Not very much.

  5. (Q) What treatment would you prescribe for him now. (A) Same as he has here through electrical force applied. Should decrease some of the properties of the bromide as we have. That is, the quantity of it that is taken into the system, but use more of the saline of calcium chloride, or salt, rubbing to the pores of the body, especially along under the arms and between the thighs, along the neck.

  6. (Q) Rub that on the outside? (A) You can’t rub it on the inside.

  7. (Q) What other treatment would you prescribe for the present? (A) Keep control more here of the mind in its waking state. Should be dominated more into its thoughts. They pass out, as they become in himself, to the age of the physical man, impressions being received and stowed up, are becoming more willful in himself. Must be controlled more to bring about self-control.

  8. (Q) Do that by suggestion? (A) More by suggestion with the mind as it works.

  9. (Q) How about his diet now? What shall it be? (A) Not too much. Fruit most. Not too much acid.

  10. (Q) How about the exercise. (A) He is taking the exercise.
