This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 29th day of May, 1933, in accordance with request made by self, through her husband, Mr. [348], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. [348], H. L. and L. B. Cayce.]
Time of Reading 11:25 to 11:35 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body, [340]; this we have had before.
-
Now, as we find, there is a return of - or relapse towards - the prolapsus, that aids in producing - or produces - that tendency for the congestion of the muco-membranes in portions of the digestive system of the body; by improper eating, improper thinking.
-
In the activities of these forces in the system, as we find, there are those forces that may be added at this time to reduce, absorb or take away from those portions of the congestion, that will enable the body in its assimilations to adjust itself. (Get what this means, and its full meaning!)
-
We would add, then, at this time, first a tablespoonful of Milk of Bismuth - bettter were it put in two doses, but a tablespoonful taken in one day, see?
-
The next day we would take a dessertspoonful (or two teaspoonful, nearly) of Milk of Magnesia.
-
The next take two to five charcoal tablets, preferably Willow charcoal - see?
-
And the next day take an enema, a high enema; preferably using - in the latter portion of the enema - a considerable amount of Glyco-Thymoline in the water, see?
-
The diet during all this period should be not so much as a wholly liquid diet, but a semi-solid diet; and no great amount of astringents or those that are acid-producing; though meats (that is, of fowl or lamb) may be taken, not in large quantities but that which is rather stimulating for the system.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What causes the pain in the neck? (A) Reflex action from the axis in the solar plexus area.
-
(Q) What should be done for it? (A) Relieve the conditions as we have outlined that PRODUCE same, and the reflexes will disappear. You see, we are asking for conditions externally when we have given for the corrections from the internal, which - when we remove the causes of conditions - will be clarified. It is the same as if we were to muddy a stream, and when we remove that which is producing the muddying stream clarifies! So is the body, the blood supply, the nerve system - when we remove pressures, or when we remove that which CAUSES the condition, the system ADJUSTS itself - as was just given in that to understand, as to proper assimilation! To give corrections for those conditions such as pains to the head, the heaviness to the feet, the tiredness, would be treating the effects and not the causes!
Some activities in the open are well, and a gentle massage (preferably with hand) from the solar plexus center, or 9th dorsal, toward the head - and from the solar plexus center toward the feet, see? Don’t rub to the center of the body, but go from it.
- We are through with this reading.
