This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 29th day of July, 1936, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [340], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading … St., 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Tenn. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [340].
-
Conditions are not so good, yet as we find these acute conditions arise from indiscretions in the eating or in the combinations of those things that are known not to agree very well with the body.
-
Then with the attitude and then with the heat, and then with the general conditions, these tie-ups in the mucous membranes, throughout the alimentary canal and also through the throat and head, and the inflammation through the colon area, all arise.
-
First as we find in the present, give a cool enema, see; cleansing the system or the colon with same.
-
Follow same with at least two tablespoonsful of Glyco-Thymoline in the last waters.
-
Put a poultice of grapes, cool - grapes of any character, preferably Concord but any character, crushed - except those without seed, don’t use those - we want those with seed for it’s the tartaric acid that we are giving that we want the reaction from. Crush same, place between thin cloths over the abdomen, extending up to the lower end of the stomach, to overcome this nausea and tendency for the reaction to the head and throat and the irritations that arise.
-
If these are unable to be obtained, then take the Tartaric Acid to use in a pack; not a saturated solution but a little less than saturated solution; that in water or tap water will be well, for we want it that cool. Put this then in packs three or four or five thicknesses, just wring this out of same and place over the same area.
-
Have the manipulative forces gently given along the spine.
-
After the eliminations are set up and the head is easy, then begin with those same properties as has been indicated for the removal of inflammation through the alimentary canal.
-
Do that.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What diet should be taken during this period? (A) That is a semi-liquid diet would be preferable.
-
We are through with this reading.
