In the local Time of Reading hospital, 3:30 to 3:40 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Montana.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. As we find, conditions are such, and the natures and sources are such, that the greater help or aid may come through those channels that are seeking to be of help for the body.

4. For as we find, not the earthly physician but the mental and spiritual physician is needed here so that the very atoms of the body, each corpuscle, may be spiritualized to such an extent as to resist those destructive forces that would persuade body-energies to capitulate or to be destroyed by the vital energies being dwindled or weakened by the strains upon the body.

5. Then, keep in the attitude of prayer. Keep close to those that daily offer prayer for and with the body. And let the body know that there must be that wholehearted cooperation with those seeking to aid the body. Not merely in mind but in purpose and in intent give every bit of thy strength to attune the body to those vibrations that are set in motion by the prayer groups.

8. (Q) How should I best occupy myself, when so much alone? (A) By reading or having the Book read to the body. Begin with Exodus 19:5, then read, or have read, the whole of the 30th of Deuteronomy, then the 23rd and 27th Psalm. Then turn to John 14, 15, 16, and 17.

Know these not merely by heart but say them, feel them in thine own being; that these promises are all to thee - for thee to use in the ways and manners in which ye have need of in the present.

9. (Q) Is there something wrong with my mental attitude that retards spiritual help? (A) That’s why these are being given here. These should correct that attitude. Know that these words are speaking to self, and that they are from the living God.

10. (Q) If the information can be given at this time, would like to know whether I should move to another state, selling my home, and if so, where? (A) Not in the present.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Sometime ago I became interested in your great work after reading an article in a magazine.

As my mother is beyond the help of earthly doctors; and as we realize that only the power of God can give her the rest and help that we feel she deserves…we now submit her case to your hands.

For the last twenty years she has suffered with only short periods of relief. The only help she has had, has been from a great faith healer, and also from Unity…a school of Christianity.

She asks me to write to you now, as a last chance for life and happiness. She asks me to tell you that her condition is such that it is hard for her to pray and help you very much.

And she feels that she will be unable to live unless she receives immediate assistance from you.

We realize that there are perhaps thousands of people asking for help, and that you are swamped with appeals.

But unless you give her help right away, it will be too late.

We sincerely believe in your great gifts, and we ask that you give us this needed help immediately, in the name of God from whence you derive this power.
