This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Virginia, this 4th day of May, 1934, in accordance with request made by daughter, Miss [275], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will, in the light of Divine guidance, aid in assisting the soul of [378] to seek to do that which is best and in keeping with that his Maker would have his soul WILL to do at this time.

2. EC: Yes. Let that thou hast purposed keep thee in the way that thou wouldst go, for He is the light to thy feet and a lamp to thy pathway. Make known thyself that which is the way that each of thy loved ones would keep in that way that thou hast chosen, even as He has given, “I will come and abide with thee lest thou stumblest,” for he whom the Lord hath called him does He predestine that he should walk in the light, even as He is in the light.

3. Make known thine desires that are in His way, and He will give thee strength and bear thee up in the way that thou shouldst go.

4. Let the words of thy purpose, let the desire of thy heart, be in the way that He has shown thee, and there will come in thine consciousness the awareness of His presence guiding thee day by day.

5. In His light thou wilt be led, thou wilt be guided, and there shall nothing hinder thee in keeping His ways; for His ways are not past finding out.

6. For, he that seeketh will find. He that knocketh shall have the door of understanding opened, and he may dwell in the light of HIS countenance always.

R1. 5/4/34 Wife [255]‘s letter to EC: “Enclosed please find check for $50. As soon as we can see our way, I will send the rest. The readings have been such a comfort to me during this time. I thank God for them. Also Mrs. [509] has always been with me when I needed her the most. Her psychic friend always gets the same as the readings said - as regards the letter [378] tried to write, the cloud around him, etc. I am hoping all the time to hear from him soon. But God’s divine plan must go through. We mortals must not put ourselves in the way. I pray that each one of us will derive the blessings sings for our souls that we should out of this experience. Mr. Johannes Greber’s prayer was very wonderful last Tuesday. He is trying to do his share too. So many are. I appreciate it very much. I know you all are doing your share too, and we all thank you. When the time has been fulfilled, I will write more. [255]

R3. 5/6/34 Mrs. [255]‘s letter: “After I sent off my letter, I felt how very inadequate it was in really expressing what I feel about the readings I am not only deeply thankful for the relief they mean to me personally, but above all for the help they mean for our beloved one [378]. The thought that your soul goes out and tries to help his soul to find itself is beautiful beyond words. We are all praying the prayer and trying to live it, - trying to feel ‘joyous in the Lord.’ That development cannot come without that, I understand, and so feel that all is as it should be, and God is taking care of everything… Please continue the readings every day as much as possible. I ask this not with the idea of finding him before God’s plan has been fulfilled, but for [378]‘s sake… God has blessed me with sleep every night, altho I wake up very early once in a while. I have been having very wonderful visions and dreams. Some day I will read them to you. So I seem to be developing the latent power I should develop. [275], [276], [282] and [457] have written beautiful messages at our services twice a day. We have been told to pray independently for the present, by Mrs. [509]‘s friend. I went to Mrs. [509]‘s for the day and to a healing service to Emmet Fox. He seemed to speak to me especially. It did me a great deal of good, because we should normalize our life - and the reading said we had the right effect on [378] which made me very happy. [276], too, has developed her power of concentration. I feel it distinctly when she treats me. It is the power she should develop over animals, I suppose as the reading said. [275] feels wonderful results from Mrs. [509]‘s treatments. She is moved and pulled and adjusted, is always rosy after it from increased circulation. So we all are trying to do our share.
