This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 22nd day of December, 1943, in accordance with request made by the mother, Mrs. […], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mrs. […], [1594]”s mother.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. [3419]”s mother and Harmon Bro.]

Time of Reading 10:50 to 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3419].

  3. Now as we find, there are definite disturbances with this body. These need not necessarily be fatal, nor prevent the body from developing near normally - if there will be made those corrections of the pressures which have arisen from an injury at the end of the spine, that affect the whole locomotory activities and hinder the nominal development in the reflexes to brain as related to locomotory axis of the lower limbs.

  4. To be sure, if these are left as they exist, there will be gradual deterioration in the reflexes from the brain, gradually reacting upon all of the locomotories of the body.

  5. The body can, in a manner, use the upper portion as yet. The digestive forces have not been affected as yet, but the regurgitation, the eliminations and the alimentary canal are gradually being affected. Also the assimilation is not true throughout.

  6. We would not take the body to a doctor but do this yourself:

  7. Each day at some definite period make these applications. Don’t change the time about because you want to do this or that. Choose a time either in the morning or in the afternoon - set a definite period.

  8. For an hour apply Glyco-Thymoline Packs over the lumbar and sacral areas, extending to the coccyx. Apply these hot - not so hot as to burn the body, of course, but put them on warm. Then apply salt heat - heavy salt, sewed into a bag, about an inch thick, so it remains in one place and may be bound or bent to fit the contour of the body; especially at the lower end of the spine, for it must be over the area of the coccyx. Keep these on for at least two periods each day; that is, heat the salt by putting the bag in the oven, and let it be just so it is not too hot as to cause burns from same. When the salt has cooled, then apply the warm Glyco-Thymoline Pack again and reheat the salt. Use about three thicknesses of cotton cloth - diaper cloth is very well to use. Do this for two periods of thirty minutes each, one following the other, each day.

  9. Immediately following the Packs each day, give the body a massage with Cocoa Butter - and this should be done very carefully. Massage this gently but thoroughly, all the body will absorb each time. Don’t hurry through with this. Massage into the same area over which the Packs have been applied. Take twenty to thirty minutes to give this massage.

  10. So, just set aside two hours each day to make these applications, if you want to save this baby.

  11. Ready for questions.

  12. We are through with this Reading.
