-
GC: Now you will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [3457] … Street, Michigan - who seeks a Mental and Spiritual Reading regarding her relationship with her daughter […]. And you will give the information which will be most helpful at this time, answering the questions which she has submitted as I read them:
-
EC: Yes. In giving that which will be helpful for his this entity, many things are to be taken into consideration. Know in self that the greater part is ever within self when trouble arises between self and daughter, between self and neighbor, between self and husband. For that we think, that we give voice to in condemnation of others, we will find within our own selves. For the Lord thy God is one. And where ye condemn, so are you condemned. As ye forgive, so are ye forgiven.
-
If ye would find self, look within. Know what is thine own ideal - spiritual, mental, material. Not according to what ye would judge thy neighbor, thy husband, thy daughter. For judge not if ye be not judged - this is the law. When ye judge, the same judgement ye are passing to thyself.
-
Look within. For thy body is indeed the temple of the living God. Thy purpose in life, in the experience in the earth, is to magnify that glory which may be thine when ye have attained to same.
-
It is not that the daughter has taken judgement against you. You have taken judgement against that which she worships, which she adores. The trouble lieth within self, as it does concerning thy husband. It is within self that ye must find thy answer. For the law of the Lord is perfect, it converteth the soul - and until the soul is set in the order, in the desire of filling that purpose for which ye entered, of being one with Him, it may not find peace, it may not find joy - in self, nor in the earth.
-
Try the Lord.
-
We are through.

Dear Mr. Cayce:-
I come again to you for help. This time for my sister who is very ill in a hospital of whose life the doctors despair of.
It all came about from an operation to remove a mole, from which the doctors claim that she developed lymphatic sarcoma, for which there is no hope the doctors declare.
Could you give us a reading and instructions what to do to bring back her health; and if she has a chance.
She is a very sick girl and has suffered much. Can you give us help soon.
You have helped many people and I hope you can help us in my sister’s case.
Sincerely, Mrs. [3457], …, Mich.
Enclosed you will find $1.00 toward the bldg. fund.

Mr. Edgar Cayce Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Sir:
Received your letter of Oct. 29th, and I wish to tell you that I have already applied for the membership and you have given me an appointment for a reading, on Dec. 4th, 10.30 to 11.30 EWT, but you don’t say whether its A.M. or P.M. In the last letter to you I have asked you to give me a spiritual and mental reading, if that will help me any. But I still feel that my daughter has a glandular disturbance of some kind because she tells me that she is always in a daze or a fog, and that she feels that she has been some places before which I know that she never has, and that is why I am tormented by thought that a terrible mistake has been made by her marrying at such an early age [16], to a man 30 yrs. old.
The doctor at one time told me that she has a glandular disturbance and that she is always in a daze, or that her mind is far away. She has always been a peculiar child, and for that last 2 years, she felt and acted towards me very strange, and even struck me, when I tried to correct her. Would you give her a special reading if she agreed to it her self. She tells me that she can’t concentrate, at all, and I suffer along with her and I would do anything to be able to help her find her self.
Kindly let me know just as soon as possible for you what you can do for me and my child. I will be very grateful to you for your help in this case. This case should prove to be interesting.
Very sincerely, Mrs. [3457]
P.S. Mr. Cayce could it be possible to give me a reading sooner, as I am suffering greatly over this, and the daughter is very nervous too.
B2. 11/23/43 [3457]‘s ltr. to EC:
Dear Mr. Cayce:
I have your letter of Nov. 5th in regards to the appointment for the reading that you will give me Dec. 4th this year I just can’t wait till I have the reading.
The questions are (1) What caused our daughter to turn against us and want to get married, have we her parents been the cause? (2) Why am I taking it so hard? (3) What can I do to have my daughter more confidence in me? (4) Why do I wake up nights and have such heavy feelings and why can’t I sleep? (5) What should I do to remedy myself of that? (6) Am I headed for a mental and spiritual breakdown? Please advise me so that I can have peace of mind. I sometimes think that I will lose my mind. I hope your advice will help me. I must tell you that I cant even pray anymore when I go to church, much as I always have had faith in my Maker. I have found out that he her husband has always told her that we her parents did not care for her, why did he do that for.
Hoping your advise will help to clear away that feeling that I have, I remain very truly, Mrs. [3457]
[My first name is [3457] I was born Sept. 13, 1905 at Braddock, Penna. and I will be at … Street on the morning of Dec. 4th.]
