GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes. As we find, conditions here are such that there are lessons to be gained from same, rather than so much that may be accomplished from a physical angle in the present.
-
These conditions, this soul-entity entering, should be an evidence for the mother, the father, of the fact that life is eternal, and that there will be those as a witness before the throne; that indeed His angel is ever before the throne making intercession for those that are in spirit, in mind, anxious.
-
Then let the spirit of truth, of light, of hope, enter in.
-
Do not become hardened. Do not attempt to justify, but let thy life, they activities ever be such as to glorify that which is held in the heart and in the mind for this body.
-
That the body entered into this life experience in these disturbed manners, without the seeming opportunity, should not allow thee to become hardened. Do not let it cause thee to doubt, but rather be assured that it is a just God, keeping a witness ever before each individual that each may personally know that He cares.
-
Do that.
-
These attitudes must be in the minds, the hearts, the purposes of the parents in the present.
-
We are through with this reading.

B2. 9/12/43 (Sunday) Mrs. Dillman’s letter:
Hotel Roberts Provo, Utah
Dear Mr. Cayce:
Just a little note to tell you that you will probably hear from a Mr. […], a young man who lives in …, Colo.
He was here for a few days and mentioned to Mrs. Burton [Mrs. Ed Burton] about his baby - a 2-year old boy, who was unable to walk and seemed to lack coordination between his mind and movements - had him to doctors all over and just returned from Mayos.
Well, Mrs. Burton mentioned you and your work to him and he was immensely interested, so she called me to come over to talk with him, which I did. He is reading the book and could hardly wait to get back home to tell his wife about it.
He felt that God had directed him here to learn of you and the work so may may expect a letter from him any day. He came over and met Charlie too.
Seems to be a splendid young man.
B3. 9/13/43 Father’s letter: “Mrs. Dillman suggested that I write you concerning the health of our baby boy, 2 yrs old, whom the doctors don’t give a chance to live or to ever be well. Mrs. […] nor myself have never given up hope for him, and sincerely think that you are the answer to our prayers.
We will continue to spend every effort given us at the present time to keep this soul here with us, and if God is willing we will be able to make him well in mind and body.
Sincerely yours, […] [[3458]‘s father]
B4. 11/5/43 Mother’s letter submitted questions for [3458]‘s Nov. 13th a.m. reading: “1. Is the illness caused by a brain or a bone injury? 2. When was the injury caused? 3. Will he learn to walk and talk? 4. How long will his life span be? 5. Does he feel pain? 6. Is there a doctor in Pueblo who would cooperate with the administrations suggested by Mr. Cayce.
B5. 11/27/43 Parent’s letter:
Dear Mr. Cayce -
Received your letter of the 19th and were so sorry to hear of your illness. We were quite disappointed, naturally, at the delay as at the time we were very fearful for the baby. He had measles and pneumonia. But he is better and we wouldn’t consider withdrawing our membership. We realize that we were fortunate in getting a reading so soon, and two more weeks certainly couldn’t discourage us.
So this is to let you know we accept the date you have set for the 4th of December, with gratitude and hopefulness.
Sincerely wishing you good health to continue your helpful work we remain yours in all sincerity.
Mr. & Mrs. […]
