This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of December, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3459], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the article in Coronet.

Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, Georgia.

1. GC: You will have before you the entity [3459], born May 25, 1897, in Rome, Georgia, who seeks a mental and spiritual reading, with information, advice and guidance needed at this time. You will answer the questions she submits, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, we have the inquiring mind of the entity, [3459].

3. In giving that as we find may be helpful for this body in its mental and spiritual attitude, as well as that in which the general physical forces may be coordinated with name in these particular conditions with this body, these are the premises from which such suggestions may be made.

4. A great deal might be said respecting the attitude already of the body-mind of this entity; yet the body grows very weary at times with the cares of this world, with the cares and anxieties of those about the body. These should not be. To be sure, these are natural, yet ye know in whom ye have believed. Know that He is able to keep that ye have committed unto Him against any experience that may come into thy life. Know, too, that He will not allow thee to be tempted, to be tried, beyond that ye are able to endure. Know that whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth at times, that we may indeed in Him - not of ourselves, but in Him - bear better and more fruit; that His name may be glorified in the earth.

5. That is the purpose for which each entity - yea, this entity - enters the material experience; that the glory of the Lord, as manifested in the entity itself, may be magnified in the earth.

6. That lesson the entity in the present is to attain is that of patience; which, if comparison is drawn, is that to be attained by most individuals. For in patience, as He gave, ye become aware of thy soul. For as the entity finds, we are body, we are mind, we are soul. The soul is in the image of God, thus eternal, everlasting. Life in its expression, then, in a mental and in a material world, is only a mental and material manifestation of the soul-entity; that which was brought into being as a part of Creative Forces. Thus it is eternal.

7. Then the awareness in patience, for this entity, is to become more and more aware of thy relationship to the Creative Forces. Do not grow anxious because those about thee deny thy faith. Only live it and be it; not in finding fault with others, not in condemning others. For as we forgive, we are forgiven; as we condemn others, we are ourselves condemned. Thus in patience condemn not, neither find fault; not condoning, not agreeing, but let thine own life so shine that others, seeing thy patience, knowing thy understanding, comprehending thy peace, may take hope. For such comes only from finding the presence of the Christ-Consciousness in self. Then, when the entity as an individual speaks so loud there is little to be said. Others seeing will take hope and they, too, will more and more draw closer to the oneness of purpose. All do not think alike. All approach according to their own concept. Yet as others see, there is felt the influence for creative or destructive forces in the life. For it is the spirit, the purpose, the ideal with which ye think, ye speak, ye act, that will determine what the fruit of thy life, of they thoughts, will be. If ye sow the spirit, in the seed of the spirit of patience, of love, of longsuffering, brotherly kindness, the lack of hate - but love, love in everything, then ye will find, as He has given, He the Master, Jesus, the Christ-Consciousness, will abide with thee. He has attained the Christ-Consciousness in giving of Himself. Though able in mental and physical to lay aside the Cross, He accepted same, offering self as the sacrifice; that ye might have an advocate in the Father. Thus are ye saved, by grace.

8. Then be gracious, be thankful.

9. Then in the physical self, the nerve energies of the body are ofttimes disturbed. Use the Radio-Active Appliance an hour each day. The anodes or connections should be kept very clean, and should be prepared occasionally. Do not allow the ice to come over the top of the Appliance. This merely equalizes the vibrations of the body. It is only active when attached to the body, building up energies in the extremities of the body. Literally as also figuratively, it is taking the extremes - in anxieties, or even pain - and equalizing them throughout the body, by using the very energies of the body to build up as a magnet and discharge in the other extremities to make or bring about equalization.

10. Then, as thy body is the temple of the living God, through such periods when ye are in accord with the divine within self, in accord with the problems of the day, then use that period when ye would commune with Him. And let that attitude ever be on this order, but in thine own words give expression to same:

HERE, LORD, I PRESENT MYSELF TO THEE, TO BE USED AS THOU, O GOD, SEEST FIT TO USE MY BODY, MY MIND, MY PURPOSES; THAT THEY MAY BE EVER AS A GLORY TO THEE. FOR AS HE PROMISED IN HIS MESSAGE TO ME, “IF YE LOVE ME, YE WILL KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS.” SHOW THOU ME, O GOD, WHAT, HOW I SHALL CONDUCT MY LIFE DAY BY DAY; THAT I MAY EVER BE THE CHANNEL OF BLESSINGS TO OTHERS. IN HIS NAME WE ASK.

Dear Sirs,

Mr. Cayce gave me a reading several years ago. I’m not sure just when I believe it was in 1943 or 44.

It was very short the gist of it was to go on trusting what I had trusted. I tried to do this but I didn’t follow his advice on the physical.

He said my body was very tired and should not be. He advised that I use some kind of electric treatment.

Could you look up the reading and let me know just what it was and if you would advise I use it and all about it.

It has taken me all these years to begin to understand and appreciate his spiritual advice which at the time seemed so simple, even something of an anti-climax. So I thought I should investigate the other. I am not ill, but am very conscious of vibrations and do not understand them.

Dear Mr. Cayce,

Sorry to be so much trouble - I was glad just to leave it to your judgment about the type of reading & which of my questions to answer but guess you have found it best for people to make their own decisions. So I will gladly do so - JUST GIVE ME THE LIFE READING.

I hope the enclosed questions are satisfactory - I tried to follow the suggestions on page two from the data you sent me on life readings - just questions on urges, next on “personality in the light of attainments in spiritual development,” next questions about proper life work and finally questions about relations with my family.
