-
GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time with suggestions for further corrective measures, answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before. As we find, there are some changes but not altogether good.
-
There should be the better relaxing osteopathically. Not so often, these ten days apart should be sufficient if there is the general relaxing treatments given.
-
Do, in the use of the Appliance (which hasn’t been put in exact contact), use this regularly.
-
This will bring better relaxation. With these changes which are coming about, do have the thorough, thorough, relaxing osteopathically at least every ten days.
-
The gentle massages if given more with the electrically driven vibrator, would be much more satisfactory. These have only been partially efficient but follow through with these and we will have better conditions for this body.
-
Ready for questions
-
(Q) What further can be done to eliminate the terrific pain in the right side of my face? (A) Just as has been given, relaxing and the use of the Appliance. If the body is relaxed occasionally as indicated, and then the vibrator with the sponge applicator along the spine, we will rid these disturbances and this tic will be gradually eliminated. This has been long coming; don’t expect it to leave too soon, but be expectant.
Keep as quiet as practical, though there is nothing much more severe than the pain when this comes, but while here, let such as Irvin gently relax the body and if he gives ten cent treatments, don’t pay him but ten cents! but there should be at least thirty minutes of gentle, not too deep, but gentle relaxing especially from the 1st cervical to the end of the spine.
-
(Q) What sedative is suggested when needed? (A) Luminal.
-
(Q) Any local application? (A) No local application will do other than aggravate.
-
(Q) What can I do for the weakness in the mornings? (A) If we will follow through with these, we will find there will be much more alertness and less weakness of morning. Don’t hurry. When you wake, get up but don’t hurry self in the preparation for the day, but don’t lie and worry when you are awake.
-
(Q) Is coffee injurious to me? (A) For this body, coffee is not very good. As we find, cereal drinks would be more preferable. Don’t take any carbonated drinks.
-
(Q) Should I continue the Glyco-Thymoline Packs. (A) We would use Glyco-Thymoline occasionally, but don’t heat it now.
Do this and we will get help.
- We are through with this reading.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 7/10/44 Mrs. [3469]‘s letter to A.R.E.: “If you have the reading and talks made by Edgar Cayce at the Congress compiled by this time, will you please send them to me. Tell me how much they are and I will send money at once. The convention meant a great deal to me and T shall never forget it.”
Gratefully yours, [3469]
R2. 7/14/44 EC’s reply: “Thank you for your letter of the 10th. We will have the talks made at the Congress in the Congress report. This is not out yet and it may be several weeks before we will be able to get them out as, of course, all of these have to be transcribed, edited and then mimeographed. They will be $1.00 a copy and I think they will be ready by the middle or latter part of August.
“I am glad to know that you really enjoyed your little visit here and I trust it will prove to be a source of help to you all along the way.
“Let us hear from you again, for we enjoyed having you here with us. With every good wish, I am”
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:WI [Willa Irons]
R3. 12/19/44 She wrote: Dear Miss Davis: “I am so anxious to hear how Edgar Cayce is getting along. You said in your note that he had been ill. I am some better but still get my pain (not nearly so often as when I was at the convention last June). When he is able I am going to ask for another reading. Please convey my best wishes to him and a Happy Christmas to all of you. Sincerely, [3469]. I am enclosing an envelope for your reply as to his condition.”
R4. GD answered by sending her the December 1944 A.R.E. Bulletin with a message from Edgar Cayce entitled COMING HOME. [He dictated this to me in a whisper.]
R5. 4/6/45 Mrs. [3469] wrote: “My dear Miss Davis: I wonder if you could find time to tell me what is going to happen to the Association now that Mr. and Mrs. Cayce are gone. I am so heartbroken over it all. It seems to me that no one will ever be able to replace him. I also would like to know if there are still any of the photographs taken last summer at the convention. I happened to be among the group and would love to have one. I am enclosing an envelope for the reply. The convention last summer will always be one of the highlights of my life. I shall appreciate any other information you may be able to give me.”
Sincerely, [3469]
R6. 4/10/45 GD sent her the March A.R.E. Bulletin and samples of Weekly Readings Extracts, the Diary-Letter, and a publication sheet.
