-
GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions.
-
EC: Be still!
-
Yes, we have the body here, [3472].
-
As we find, there are disturbances in the better physical forces of the body. These have to do primarily with the functionings of the organs of the pelvis, from a condition that existed some time back in the early periods of the body beginning menstruation. There was the use of cold applications, being out in the cold, and neuralgia was experienced by the body. This set up congestion, being at the period, causing an irritation to arise that in the present causes disturbances through the period of menstruation. And there has been a cyst formed in the right ovary.
-
This can be determined best by the proper character of x-ray or shadowgraph.
-
We find that the body would find much better activity where the weather and dampness is not so severe, where the body may have the advantage of the Ultra-Violet Rays from sun and sand.
-
We would apply Glyco-Thymoline Packs over the ovarian area, or the right groin, followed by the proper application of massage. This would necessarily be rather in the form of the neuropathic massage, where the gland centers of the lymph circulation are stimulated to activity. This is better than a purely mechanical adjustment, though an osteopathic gynecologist might give good results, unless early operative measures are sought. If the osteopathic or neuropathic treatments are given, and there is the application of the Glyco-Thymoline Packs in the areas of the pubic center as well as the umbilical center and the area of the sternum or breast bone, we find that there may be the absorption of this cyst. Stimulate, of course, the area of the upper portion of the hips, along the 4th lumbar and the point of each hip.
-
Before periods, or when there is pain, use first a warm douche with Atomidine; not too hot, not too cold, but body temperature; using one part of Atomidine to thirty parts of water.
-
If the pain increases, apply a hot pack of Glyco-Thymoline at the pubic center, keeping the pack heated with heavy salt - not with the electric pad.
-
Do these and we may avoid an operation. Or if there is the desire to hurry through this experience, satisfy self by the shadowgraph and have the operation done at once.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Would corrective exercises such as those suggested by Dr. George Taylor in his book “Health for Women” correct malposition of the uterus so that an operation would be unnecessary? (A) Corrective exercises such as we have suggested to be made by the neuropath or osteopath. Those of Taylor will decrease or will cause a segregation, and here we are tending to eliminate by absorption.
-
(Q) Am I able to bear a child? (A) Not in the present, no. Make these corrections and we will find there will be the ability.
-
(Q) What is my period of receptivity? (A) The first ten days after the periods.
-
We are through with this reading.

R1. 11/12/44 Letter: “Dear Folks: In finishing reading THERE IS A RIVER, I would like to express my gratitude to the author for revealing to us the life of such a great and gentle soul.
I also would like very much to have a Life reading, and will be very grateful if you will send me the form to fill out.
Last December I had a physical reading, and there is a question pertaining to it that I would like to ask.
I have since sent the reading to my brother over-seas in Service, and he has not returned it as yet, so am unable to refer you to the number of the reading, [3472]. Here is the question: It was suggested that I have a shadow-graph taken to determine for myself the presence of a left ovarian cyst.
In making inquires to M.D.’s, as to what a shadow-graph was, one told me that it was the name they employed for X-Ray when it was first developed, and then I learned that a cyst couldn’t be x-rayed - just the bone structure.
Could you tell me what was meant by the reading? I hope so.
Looking forward to an early reply, I am…”

B1. 12/3/43 letter from [3472]: “If questions are answered relating to the type of reading, will you kindly submit the attached?
As my condition is of painful nature, and I’m urged by doctors and family to have an operation immediately, I hope that I’ll be able to have an early reading - understanding of course, that there must be more urgent cases than mine.
Do I understand correctly that I’ll be notified of the day and time of my reading so I can be at home and in proper mental attitude?
Questions: Could my period of receptivity be determined? Can it be determined if I’m able to have a child? What causes my painful menstruation period, and how could I be relieved of the condition? As I want to avoid, if possible, an operation to correct the malposition of the uterus, would corrective exercises be of any benefit? As my condition seems better during the summer months, would a vacation in Florida be beneficial? Is there a growth on my right ovary?
Questions: 1. Could you tell me my period of receptivity, or the Estrus, as I believe it is called. I am anxious to have a child, and in my husbands condition I would necessarily have to have a test-tube baby. Would you advise it? 2. In the book that I am reading HEALTH FOR WOMEN, by George R. Taylor, M.D., would the exercises for the pelvic organ be of curative effect, and lasting?
My husband will be at … Co., … if you wish to comment on his condition, which we believe is sterile.
My deepest gratitude for an unseen friend, and his Divine work…”
