This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 28th day of August, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [3480], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3480], this we have had before.

3. There have been improvements and there have been retardments. Some of those conditions which were the primary causes have been helped but there are other disturbances, as with the digestive system and the slowed circulation.

4. Changes in the environments would be well, yet these are not the primary causes. We would find, if there would be the leaving off of some of the diets which have become obnoxious, then the purifying of the alimentary canal, the setting up of better drainages from the head and the soft tissue in ear, nose, throat and stimulating the eliminations, it will be the better manner in which to control these disturbances.

6. (Q) Can anything be done to relieve the nasal catarrh? (A) Do these which have been indicated. Use the inhalant which may be outlined for the body in this: Prepare a large-mouth bottle. Put two vents into the opening of the bottle in which solution is put. Leave a two ounce space, at least, above solution in container. Add the following ingredients in the order named:

Pure Grain Alcohol…4 ounces, Oil of Eucalyptus…20 drops, Rectified Oil of Turp…5 drops, Tincture of Benzoin…15 drops, Oil of Pine Needles…10 drops, Tolu in Solution…5 drops.

Shake the solution, then removing the cork from vents inhale deeply into the nasal passages - not too much in the beginning, just once or twice. Then inhale into the throat.

But do set up better eliminations with colonic irrigations.

7. (Q) Have the colonics been sufficient and frequent enough to clear up all mucus? (A) We would not imply such if these had been correctly given. Do have sufficient to remove the mucus, which causes the disturbance. This should be observed in the periods of giving colonic irrigation.

8. (Q) Am I getting enough valuable food elements? (A) Enough valuable food elements if they are kept balanced properly. Do have more of the B-1 and E. These may be supplemented in the activities in Zyrone and in wheat germ oil.

9. (Q) Would any particular climate be recommended? (A) Arizona, near Tucson.

10. (Q) Any further advice? (A) Do keep the mental being in constructive activities.

R1. 1/26/50 Letter from wife: ”…So we dropped all other interests except Theosophy. We are trying to sell our place so we can move south to a warm, dry climate for the improvement of my husband’s health and we are trying to free ourselves of all we can until we again get settled somewhere…”

R2. 7/10/52 Questionnaire sent to wife.

R3. 8/13/52 Wife’s reply to questionnaire: ”…And now about my husband. He took the colonic irrigations and used the milk of bismuth and elixir of lactated pepsin as directed. He felt no change. A change of altitude and climate has never been possible but his health has now become so seriously impaired that we have to make preparations to go south to a dry, warm climate, in desperation. We have tried to follow the diet but have not kept on it strictly. The inhalation prescribed has been a blessing and is still used to gain relief. The zinc powder also gave relief. We cannot say definitely whether the readings described his condition accurately. I’m sure that part of it is accurate and probably all of it, but he has so many ailments and his condition is so complicated, we are baffled as are the medical doctors. We tried to carry out all instructions faithfully. We are devoted to a spiritual life and give as much of our time and energy as we have to spare to helping others and feel a great satisfaction in the work we are doing. The spiritual advice given in the readings was deeply appreciated and followed. …An interesting point about my difficulties is that various members of my family are experiencing the same thing and naturally their physical makeups vary radically from mine. My husband has experienced it from time to time, my mother suffered greatly from it as she became weaker before her death and two brothers are now suffering, one very seriously. In closing I want to say that we have always been grateful for the help given and for the desire and effort put forth by Mr. Cayce and his staff…”
