Lecturer) This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 15th day of December, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [3530], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mrs. [3051].

Born January 14, 1895, in Fargo, North Dakota. Time of Reading 4:45 to 4:50 P. M. Eastern War Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the entity - but there’s been changes, in name, in personality.

3. In giving that which would be helpful to this entity - be consistent in self, in that ye practice what ye preach in thy daily life. This ye have found in thy experience. Ye hope, ye wish - but are ye consistent in wishes, in activities?

4. Ready for questions.

5. (Q) How shall I secure complete vindication, freedom and honor? (A) As ye sow, so must ye reap. Only as ye may meet spiritually, mentally, materially, the problems that confront thee, will ye be vindicated in thine own heart and before thy brethren.

6. (Q) Are there certain steps to be taken by my lawyers not yet revealed to them? (A) No. These have been met, but circumstances do not coincide with that presented to those who draw the charges against the entity.

Then, then, may only be met in the coin of the realm of the prosecutor.

These may be paid, but it does not satisfy the entity nor those who would vindicate the entity.

R1. 7/1/52 Report by Mrs. [2982]: “My friend Mrs. [3051] gave me the book by Richard Ingalese called THE HISTORY AND POWER OF MIND. There was something in that book that clicked with me and that was the beginning of my study of metaphysics under [3530], who later had a reading from Edgar Cayce. I studied with him for a number of years but I always felt that there was something lacking. I didn’t know what it was but it was that which led me finally to Edgar Cayce, and I think it took two years before the awareness that reincarnation is a fact. Very shortly after that I departed from the teachings of Mr. [3530] and was praying for guidance. My reading gave, ‘They that deny that He has come in the flesh, have nothing to do with them.’ I had just completed my studies with a man who was teaching that Christ was born of an illegitimate birth, that He did not die on the cross. I found out recently that he also taught in the advanced classes that Jesus was just a symbol and never existed. When I attended his classes I felt that something was lacking in the man, although I didn’t know what it was, and that led me to prayer and my next step to Edgar Cayce. By this time I was separated from this teacher. After leaving his class I learned that he was arrested for misappropriation of funds and was incarcerated for about two years.

“He is at present teaching in the same capacity with a big following. He is a man of great personal charm and ability to attract women, but there is that something lacking which I felt a long time ago when I attended his classes. Although my loyalties at times tend to send me there, I feel that I have nothing to give him and he is certainly not interested in what I have. I feel that the association should be ended.”

R2. 6/29/62 Report by Mrs. [2982]: “Mr. [3530] and his wife committed suicide about 5 years ago. He served a prison term, then continued his work. They were found in the car with the carbon monoxide turned on. We felt he was about to be discovered in another misdemeanor and killed himself rather than go back to prison.”

[GD’s note: At the time of the reading Mr. [3530] was “separated” from his wife, according to the membership application arranged for him by his secretary and Mrs. [3051]. I am wondering which wife chose to die with him.]
