This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 5th day of January, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [3534], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes - we have the body here, [3534].

3. As we find, there are disturbances but these are more from fear internally than from any specific cause physically in the present.

4. There were those experiences from a strain brought on by a heavy flow in the circulation, caused by a plethora in colon; but these in the greater part have passed.

5. However, if the body will have a series of hydrotherapy it will bring better conditions and insure no reoccurrence, unless there are other indulgences that are not a part - or should not be a part - of the experience; freeing the body from the hemorrhage caused by this great pressure in the circulation and the breaking of tissue that was indicated in periods sometime ago.

6. The hydrotherapy should include colonic irrigations, given scientifically - about ten days apart for the first three or four, and then they may be put farther apart. These should also include weekly the light Cabinet Sweats, followed by a thorough rubdown using an equal combination of Olive Oil (heated) and Tincture of Myrrh.

7. Then, cast out fear; that is, know the spiritual forces in which you believe. Apply them in thy relationships to thy fellow man. These have much to do with thy mental attitude and will bring for the body bettered conditions.

8. In the diet keep close to those things that are more easily assimilated. Refrain from any of carbonated waters or strong drinks of any kind, especially anything with hops. For the body is allergic (so-called) to such. For these tend to produce a filling of the lymph through the alimentary canal, as well as the lymph flow in throat. Don’t use these things.

9. Have a great deal of raw vegetables, fresh - these should be a part of the diet every day, prepared in various ways.

10. Refrain from sugars in too great a quantity. These tend to produce too great a quantity of alcohol through body-forces - pastries, pies or sweets. Refrain from these.

11. Do this, and we will make for better conditions for this body.

Dear Mr. Edgar Cayce

I received your kind letter, but I was sorry to hear that the appointments are twelve months in advance, as I have to have X-Rays taken this week. I have not received an application, so I do not know what the dues of the association are. I received two books, “A Search for God” so I will send one back and I like to send your son or the association a book by A. J. Davis “The Great Harmonia” “The Reformer” and if he wishes, “The Physician” but the Physician, I would like to be returned. I am reading “A Search for God” and I think it is one of the finest books I have ever started to read, living it I know will bring health and happiness and joy, and a blessing to all that come in touch with him.

May God bless you and yours in your grand work is my earnest prayer.

Dear Mr. Cayce

Thanks for your kind letter, and for the appointment for a physical reading for the morning of January 5th 1944. I will be at my home …, New Jersey between the hours of 10 A.M. to 12 the morning of January 5th EWT. I will keep the hour in prayer and meditation, and may God bless you and your work. I like to ask what caused the hemorrhages last June.

I am wondering if you received the three books I sent.
