This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 16th day of January, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - [3560], through Dr. Robert Wever, new Associate member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. (Notes read to and transcribed by Jeanette Fitch.) Harmon Bro.]
Time of Reading 4:35 to 4:40 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Pennsylvania.

GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes - poor child!
-
We have the body here, [3560].
-
As we find, the application that are being made are very good. The conditions as a whole are very well understood. However, there are those applications which if added to the body would bring responses from the other administrations - so that the medication and the mechano-therapy or osteopathic treatments would be more beneficial.
-
Every other day we would use Glyco-Thymoline Packs from the 7th dorsal down to the 1st lumbar, broad enough so as to cover the muscular area and also the nerves of the sympathetic nerve system. Over such a Pack apply preferably hot salt, about an inch thick sewed in a pad sufficiently large to cover the area, or quilted - so as to remain in place without moving. Put this salt pack in the oven and heat, not so as to burn the body, but so the radiation from the properties are absorbed or driven, as it were, into the body.
-
These will tend to make better radiation from the kidney and bladder and the whole of this area of the body where the greater distress arises - even for the face and head.
-
The rest we would follow as the physicians are doing.
-
We are through with this reading.

Dear Mr. Cayce:
Enclosed please find money order for membership in A.R.E. for Miss [3560], …, Pa. It is this patient for whom I phoned you Nov. 20 for an emergency reading. You gave no definite appointment saying you could not promise a reading before two or three weeks from that date.
We feel her condition is somewhat improved but still serious.
Enclosed also is her application blank filled out by me in her presence.
Thank you. Sincerely yours [signed] Robert B. Wever, D.O.

Miss [3560] …, Penna.
Dear Miss [3560]
I have yours of the 10th, written by Dr. Wever, with application for membership and request for emergency physical reading. We are just so filled up with appointments, I wonder just how we can work this in any time in the next month or so. The first possible period that we find is the afternoon of January 16, 1944, 3:30 to 4:30 EWT. This is on a Sunday but we are having to give every single period possible to the active work. Please let me know if that will be satisfactory. Give the address at which you will be just a few days before that time, and let us know where you will be at the hour. Also have the doctor make a list of questions to have asked at the time of the reading.
Trusting we may be in time to be the means of a real service, I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC/vw
