Born June 11, 1887, 2:20 A. M., in Chicago, Ill. Time of Reading 4:10 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Calif.

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane; giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how:

2. EC: Yes - we have the records here of that entity now called [3577].

3. In interpreting the records as we find them, there are many variations that have come to this entity. Few have developed so far as in one experience, as we find, from the latent urges indicated in the individuality as well as in the personality of the entity.

4. This is one entity who might take any man and wind him around her finger - by a look and by a wink, or by her own movements. Yet these have not only been eliminated by suppression but purposefully, though they may still be used to advantage if spiritualized, in aiding self as well as anyone else in whom the entity might interest itself.

5. The entity would make an excellent lobbyist for any cause. Thus as the entity may set itself about to contribute to or to tear down any activity, it can do a darn good job of it!

6. These are personalities and individualities, then, in the entity’s activities.

7. For we find that the appearances in the earth have been so used in the present as to eliminate most of those urges from astrological aspects; though Venus, Mercury and Jupiter are strong. So have been Saturn, Mars and Uranus.

8. Then to be able in the present not to put a big question mark behind self’s own activities is an accomplishment for the entity.

9. Then, spiritualize and visualize purposes, in the manner in which the entity desires things to be done, and you’ll have them done!

10. The entity need never worry about material things. It may worry about them for others, but why worry - when you can pray and have it! but you’ll have to live like you pray! In thy spirituality don’t begin to become one who would ruin [run?] to attain and then not use to the glory of that through which it may be presented.

11. As to the appearances in the earth, these have been few and far between - quite varied.

12. For the entity in the experience before this was among those early groups called barnstormers, and a very good one!

13. Hence anything of the stage or screen nature, anything having to do with public activities, anything to persuade or sway crowds or groups is naturally a part of the entity. Yet the entity has checked itself in these directions and used them for definite purposes. These keep, but spiritualize the purposes and we will find the greater values in using such for the glory of God; not for self, not for indulgences; not just to be wellspoken of. Be wellspoken of for a cause, and not because it is [3577].

14. The entity gained mentally, materially. Then the name was Margaret Corday.

15. Before that the entity was in the very early portion of the Master’s walk in the earth, for the entity was among the dancing girls at the court of Herod - and was the only one who could even outdance Salome.

16. The entity taught, yes the entity encouraged even those activities at that period.

17. During the period in the larger market place (not recorded) when the Master dined with a leader, the entity was among those with Mary of Magda who bathed the Master’s feet with tears. And the entity will never be away from same, for those whom He blessed may still be blessed if they will hold to His promises.

18. Then, keep that faith which prompted thee to change. For it has held thee in good stead in this experience. But let it be purposeful for Him, and not for [3577]. Let it be as appreciation, love, honor, glory to the blessings that have been and may be in thy present experience. These appeal as in those days to the entity, the tendencies to be all things to all individuals. Yet there have been those restrainings within self, as it were a harking back to that hour when His blessings caused thee to renew a life of purpose, a life of cause, a life of hope, a life of beauty - through those periods of activity in the earth as Rhadahr.

19. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land in those periods when there were the homebuildings, when those efforts were necessary owing to the divisions among the peoples, when those trainings had been a part of that regime which preceded the homebuilding in Egypt.

20. The entity was among those who led in that activity.

21. Thus the anxiety that oft arises in the present, not only as to the home but as to the companion in the home.

22. Then, keep that still sacred. For the home is the nearest pattern in earth (where there is unity of purpose in the companionship) to man’s relationship to his Maker. For it is ever creative in purpose from personalities and individualities coordinated for a cause, an ideal. Keep it.

23. The name then was Art-Elor.

24. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that which the entity sets its mind and heart to do - with the closer relationships to the Creative Forces - is already a part of the entity’s experience.

25. Use it, do not abuse it.

26. Ready for questions.

27. (Q) How can I best help my husband in his present and future business status? (A) Best by the helping of self, by helping self in bringing to bear the influence of the activities in the earth.

Yours of the 20th did not arrive in time for us to have it on hand at the time of your reading, but I hope the information as was indicated, is of help and that you will be able to apply the suggestions made in such a way as to bring you and us real help. Let us hear from you. If we can be of any help in making it more worthwhile, know we will be glad to do so.

R2. GD’s note: In 1951, following her husband’s death, Mrs. [3577] came East and opened up a gift shop which she ran successfully for about ten years until her death. She died of cancer of the bladder.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

I have just finished reading “There is a River”, which I bought as the result of reading a review in THE BEACON - monthly paper of the Arcane School of New York, in which I have been a student for many years. My husband also read it yesterday, finishing before he went to bed, and thoroughly enjoyed it, although he is not as interested in that type of belief as I am.

To say I was thrilled with the story is to express it mildly

• it is a marvelous exposition of what should be a natural expression and one which someday everyone will understand and acknowledge. I am grateful to know that you are still doing such a wonderful work.

I am writing you to ask for a “Life Reading” of my husband, […] - 54 years old - and living in a little town on the California Coast named … Conditions have somehow stymied him in his business, which is shipping fresh vegetables. He stood on principle and honesty, and was penalized - seemingly

• for it. And now just as another opportunity seemed to open for us to move to Phoenix and continue in farming and shipping, and to do a really great work of integration, conditions seem, for the present, to try to spoil it all for us.

Can you tell me the pattern - whether we can continue the weaving here in this life and do a really splendid job of work that is sorely needed there, and one for which he is peculiarly qualified, both by ability and experience? I would be more than appreciative of your help and advice.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

You are to give a reading for me on December 29th, and I wrote you recently concerning the things I needed to have made clear.

I would like to emphasize that the most pressing aspect of my life now is the position we are in in respect to a business opening for my husband. I gave you his name and birthdate - …, February 6, 1889. Born in Centre County, Pennsylvania, of Irish parentage.

For a year and a half we have been waiting for the “mills of the gods to grind”, and they are still in the grinding process. Mr. […] has taken a stand for justice and right action in the situation here in his business - of packing and shipping vegetables - and has been heavily penalized for it. What he needs most right now is a job, and a work to do in this world that so badly needs men of his type and ability. Why this situation has come to him, I do not know - perhaps it is needed in his development, but it is a very difficult time of waiting for things to work out. A government decision is pending, which may or may not, affect him - but whether that comes out for him or not, he does need something to do, and to do it very soon. He has been waiting long enough, and brains like his, and ability of his quality needs an outlet. The world definitely needs men who are incorruptible and who have something constructive to offer to the world’s re-birth, and reconstruction.

This is our special problem now - that, and a place to live. We do not own this house and recently we have been asked to move out by the owners. What will happen - where we will go, what we will do, are the pressing things in my - our - life right now, and we need your good help in solving them.

So I shall anxiously await the transcription of your message of the 29th with real eagerness and sincerity, knowing that you will be of help to us in this solution.
