GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes - as we find - there is a complication of disturbances here. These basically are disturbances through the functioning of organs. These have to do with the eliminating system and primarily the incoordination of those activities between liver and kidneys. Thus, to be sure, the heart and lung circulation is disturbed. Also drosses are accumulated in portions of the soft tissue through the lymph and emunctory circulation, as in head, throat, and the abdominal area. The activities of the kidneys cause some disturbance in the prostate area.
-
These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [3596]:
-
In the blood supply we find disorders indicated in liver and kidneys, and those activities that cause disturbance through heart, also as to the lymph and emunctory circulation in the soft tissues - face, throat, abdominal area, and in the lower portion of the prostate areas.
-
By their very nature these give distresses, of course, very much in the form of rheumatic reactions at times; bad taste in the mouth, headaches, some sleeplessness at night. All of these become a part of the disturbance.
-
The organs - the greater disorder is between liver and kidneys.
-
Then, as we find, there would be required periods of application if we would eliminate the causes of the conditions.
-
We would first begin with a course of at least three to five full hydrotherapy treatments. These should include twice each week, a Cabinet Sweat, needle showers, Sitz Baths, followed by a good rub throughout the system to set up eliminations.
-
During the first two or three weeks have two colonic irrigations.
-
Also take a mineral salts eliminant, as Eno Salts or Rochelle Salts or Sal Hepatica. Take these to set up good eliminations.
-
After having taken five or six of these hydrotherapy treatments in a period of two to three weeks, and two colonic irrigations, then begin (not before) with osteopathic manipulations - (Dr. Smith) - with preparation to empty the gall duct; slowing down the activity of the heart, stimulating drainages from head, neck and throat; and we will bring better conditions for the body.
-
In the diet keep away from red meats, ham, or rare steak or roasts. Rather use fish, fowl and lamb, with a great deal of raw vegetables - but keep these well balanced with the leafy vegetables cooked and some fruits.
-
Citrus fruits or whole grain cereals should be taken of mornings, but don’t mix these. If the fruit is taken, and an egg and a little crisp bacon then may be taken with toast. But don’t eat the cereals and then fruits at the same meal.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Would a change of residence be helpful? Where to? (A) Not under the present conditions. Later it may be helpful, not at the present time.
-
(Q) Would a change of vocation be helpful? To what? (A) This is not part of the condition, but only as the mental attitude towards such gives an effect.
-
We are through with this reading.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 2/29/44 Letter: “A few days after 1/25/44, I received the reading you so kindly gave me. Please accept my sincere thanks. I would have written and thanked you sooner but did not want to write to you until I could tell you that I had begun following the advice contained in the reading, which I have not been able to do until now…”

Background
B1. 8/29/43 Letter: “I understand that you have helped solve the problems of many people and I earnestly ask that you help me. Briefly, I have three major problems - solutions to which I have been unable to find. They concern my physical condition, my musical progress and my marital state. I’m not taking up your time with details as I understand you do not need them…”
B2. 11/28/43 Letter: “In connection with the reading which I hope you will find time to give me soon, I’d like to make the following statements and requests. I know that I have more than one thing wrong with my body. Could you make the reading cover everything? In giving me instructions for correcting the faults of my body, will you advise me of the name of a physician residing in or near…who is sympathetic towards your work? When you have decided on a date for the reading, will you advise me of the date and time of day so that I may spend the time in meditation and prayer?…”
B3. 1/15/44 Letter: ”…May I ask the questioner as a favor to me, to use his own judgment and ask questions of his own accord; questions that in his opinion cover obscure points in both the findings and the recommended procedure to be followed? For example - if treatment by a physician is advised, could the name and address of a particular doctor be given? Also would a change of residence or vocation be beneficial? If so, what location and what line of work (consistent with my abilities) is advised? Do these examples illustrate what I would like to have done for me? To sum up
- I would like to have a clear and complete picture of what is wrong and a clear and detailed map to follow for correction.”
