This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 27th day of January, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3614], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [3614].

3. As we find, there are disturbing conditions. These are tendencies for the lack of proper coordination in the circulation, between liver and kidneys, and those tendencies for uric acid to form poisons in portions of the extremities, and to have those conditions that cause a great deal of pain. These may become in the form of rheumatism, but tending towards arthritic-rheumatic conditions. For there are poisons from lack of proper eliminations from the colon, as well as the uric poisons in the body-functioning.

4. We would begin applying Castor Oil Packs for an hour each day for three days in succession, over the gall duct and caecum area; that is, extending from the rib to the point of the hip at the caecum area - down the right side, you see. Put these on of evening when the body is ready to retire, two or three thicknesses of flannel saturated with Castor Oil. Then apply the electric pad or heavy salt, heated. When removed, sponge off the area with soda water.

5. After the third day, take internally two teaspoonsful of Olive Oil and the next day have a high enema or colonic irrigation.

6. Then begin (not before) and take broken doses of Caldwell’s Syrup of Pepsin for at least two days, half a teaspoonful every hour for almost eight to ten hours each day for two days. Then on the third morning, take two heaping teaspoonsful of Sal Hepatica.

7. After resting then for two days, begin taking KalDak as a strengthener and body-builder. Put a level teaspoonful in a little hot water and stir until well dissolved, then fill the glass - a small tumbler - with orange juice. Take this once each day.

8. Occasionally, about once a week, take watermelon seed tea, prepared in this manner: Crush or cut a teaspoonful of the seed and put in a cup, and fill with boiling water. Let stand for thirty minutes, strain off. When cool, drink. This should be done once a week for five to six weeks - beginning at the same time that the KalDak is begun.

9. Do these and we should find much better conditions for this body.

“The Casey Foundation - This woman is dead. She subscribed to old Cayce’s crap - paid him two hundred dollars for his crap and he told her to eat watermelon seeds, she did and died and he died TOO. Good enough for him, a deceiver of weak minded, simple, illiterate and crazy people. We want no part in him or his memorial - for her memory sake, for the children’s sake and for God’s sake cut it out. We want no more of it. Legal Atty.”

B1. 6/28/43 Letter from Mrs. [3614]: “Thank you for offering to give me a rdg., even though I cannot pay for it I appreciate it very much and will be glad to avail myself of your offer and if I should ever be able I will be glad to pay you. I am enclosing the filled-out form.”

B2. 1/20/44 Letter: “As next Thursday Jan. 27th from 10:30 to 11:30 is the time set aside for my reading, I am writing you as you requested to let you know where I will be at that time.

“I am working part-time at a small sewing room here and if you think it all-right I expect to be at my machine sewing [where?]. The work has become more or less routine and while I will be surrounded by other women sewing I think I can concentrate on you and your reading but if you think it better I will take the morning off and stay at home.

“You were kind enough to offer me a free rdg. and I appreciate it very much nevertheless if I can do so I would like to pay the full 20. I am enclosing 5.00 in this letter and if I can keep my work I will pay the balance in the near future. My work I think will depend on my health. So I am looking forward anxiously to your rdg. Thanking you very much… P.S. I hope to be able to send you another $5 payment in 5 or 6 weeks.”
