Time of Reading 11:05 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, North Carolina. (Physical Suggestion)
-
GC: Yes, we have the body here, [3622].
-
As we find, there are disturbing conditions which prevent the better physical functioning in this body. These arise primarily from the after effects of flu, intestinal flu which has caused a colon irritation - or fecal forces not being eliminated from the body.
-
This has gradually produced a plethoric condition in the ascending and a portion of the transverse colon, with a tendency for prolapsus in the descending colon. Thus these effects are produced in the body. Mostly the effects have been attempted to be relieved without removing the sources of the disturbance. They produce tiredness, weakness through the body; at times easily excited, nervous, and this has upset the endocrine glandular system. This has also produced disorders through the increased quantities of acid through the alimentary canal, causing a burning sensation at times through portions of the jejunum.
-
These are the sources, these are the effects; though we may find, unless corrections are made, these will continue to grow into other disturbances, since there is an upsetting of the glandular system.
-
In making corrections for this body, first we would begin with a series of colonic irrigations scientifically given. These should be kept up at regular intervals - whether three, five or eight would be necessary in the first series - until there is no indication of mucous from the colon area.
-
Then, after this has been accomplished, begin with massages. Here these should be preferably given neuropathically. Massage especially the abdomen in the area of the lower portion of liver, down through the caecum area and across the area of the transverse colon, around the lower portion of the diaphragm; using this combination of oils:
Olive Oil…2 ounces, Peanut Oil…2 ounces, Lanolin (liquefied)…1/4 ounce.
In treating the glandular system, these massages would be given especially with the body lying on the face, and the areas at the point of the hip bone from the rear - the centers there, the centers close to the 4th lumbar - on the sympathetic nerves rather than the cerebrospinal system; at the 9th dorsal, the 3rd and 4th dorsal and at the base of the brain. The massage should extend gently but firmly in each area, but in the 1st cervical let this extend along the mastoid area or back of the ear.
-
Then, with the body lying upon the back, massage the areas at the point of the chin to the lower portion of ear, on either side of the breast bone, at the sternum or lower portion of breast bone, on each side of the navel center and the pubic center.
-
These should be done twice a week.
-
Also once each day take a charcoal tablet, this preferably such as prepared by Kellogg.
-
Also take once each day five drops of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin and a quarter teaspoonful of Milk of Bismuth stirred in half a glass of water.
-
This will necessitate, while this is being taken, for at least three weeks, that a colonic irrigation be given every ten days.
-
These properties would not be given, however, until after the first series of colonic irrigations.
-
In the diet keep away from too much starches, especially chocolate, or foods prepared with chocolate - especially, considering the way chocolate is made in the present, and carbonated waters. Regular foods, preferably fish, fowl and lamb, and at least three vegetables above the ground to one under the ground.
-
Do these and we will bring good conditions for the body.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Will these treatments relieve the severe headaches, also eliminate the year-around hay fever? (A) They will.
-
We are through with this reading.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 5/31/44 She wrote: “Thank you for my reading of 1/31st.
“I have been most anxious to start tr. as outlined in the reading. However, to date I have been unable to contact a neuropath. I have written the Chamber of Commerce in all cities near here, but have received no encouragement. If you have the name of a neuropath in any city near here, as found in your files, may I please have his name and address.
“I do thank you for the reading, and the hope you gave me concerning my physical condition.”
R2. 6/6/44 EC wrote: “How far are you from High Point? I have a very good friend there, Dr. E. P. Brenner. He is not an osteopath nor a neuropath, but a chiropractor, but he can give all the treatments, I am sure.
“I believe, too, if you would write to Dr. Harold J. Reilly, Reilly Service, R.C.A. Bldg., N.Y.C., he could tell you just where you could get in touch with a good neuropath close to you. I think he is either the past or the present president of the Neuropathic Association. He is a very good friend of mine and knows the work very well.
“I hope that you will be able to get started on your treatments soon.”

Background
B1. 12/10/43 She wrote: “Mainly I want to know what to do about my headaches which I have been having for the past 4 yrs. They are so often and so severe that I feel at times as if I would be driven insane. The doctors have only told me they are nervousness and can not even give me relief.
“Also I would like to know a remedy for my ‘all the year’ hay fever. I guess that’s what it is. I am much worse during Aug., Sept., & Oct., although I can have severe attacks at any season and do have it slightly all the year. I think possibly the hay fever and headaches come from the same cause.
“I have quite a bit of trouble with my back and right shoulder and would like to know what to do for a tired feeling I have. Mr. Cayce, I have had this hay fever condition (or whatever it is) for the past 11 yrs. and the severe headaches, as I said before, for 4 yrs., and to date have found no relief from any type of medical doctors - not even encouragement. And if you could help me there would be no way to ever thank you. It would mean so much to feel good and be able to live happily.”
B2. 1/10/44 “Would a change of climate help me? Do I need an operation as I have been advised? If I need the services of a physician, can you name the specific doctor to whom I should go?”
