This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of June, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [3686], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: Check Physical suggestion: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time with suggestions for further corrective measures, answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3686]; this we have had before.

3. In considering the whole condition as we find, if there is to be real, definite, lasting improvement, the mental attitude towards physical, mental and spiritual things must be changed by this body. Do not let self and the desires of body interfere, or of feeling sorry for itself, or gloating over the abilities of the entity to do this or that, but in prayerful meditation, learn what it meaneth “He who must learn of me, must take up his cross and follow me.”

4. There have been suggestions that are well, if they will be applied in the consistency and persistency.

5. The colonic irrigations we would not worry about, but when there are those tendencies for a fullness, have a colonic, scientifically given, not just a colon tube or an enema.

6. But take the osteopathic adjustments more often, and do have occasionally the violet ray; this, say, every Thursday evening when ready to retire. This, if given with the hand applicator, may be applied by the body itself. Use this over the arms, over the torso, along on the back, down the limbs, over the body, for about two minutes.

7. Do this. We will gain better conditions for this body.

9. (Q) Any suggestions as to the manipulations of Doctor? (A) These the doctor will find in the centers where there is coordination between cerebrospinal and sympathetic systems. These need the closer attention, 4th lumbar, 9th dorsal, 5th dorsal, 3rd cervical and 1st and 2nd cervical, the muscular forces about head and neck.

10. (Q) Should KalDak be continued, if so, in what dosage and how often? (A) This we may continue, a heaping teaspoonful about twice a week should be sufficient now for the body. But have this regularly, don’t take it haphazardly. This may be taken with grapefruit or V-8 juices or preferably with milk, if it agrees with the body.

R1. 6/18/44 Letter from [3686]: ”…Thanks for the reading given me 6/3/44… It came Thursday of that week, so I did nothing towards carrying out your proposed program until the following week, when I arranged for osteopathic treatments and violet ray treatments. However, when the violet ray unit was connected it failed to work, and I was unable to begin that part of the treatment. It is impossible to buy such equipment here, and I was borrowing a unit from Dr. Rumelhart. Perhaps I should not ask this, but I would like to have just a little more explicit information covering the suggestions given in the first paragraph following ‘Yes, we have the body…’ I ask this because I don’t know that I have such an attitude as is mentioned, toward physical, mental and spiritual things. Nor do I realize that I feel sorry for myself, or gloat over anything that I am able to do. I would like to be cleared up on these matters; I want to do anything that is necessary to bring about a clearing up of the trouble that I have had with my voice for such a long period. I might say, however, that at times I notice an easing of the throat when I talk, and am able to talk a bit more naturally than I have but not for any length of time… I suppose it is alright to take the osteopathic treatments on Thursday, three or four hours before the violet ray is applied…”

R2. 10/3/45 Letter from [3686]: ”…I am sorry to learn of Mr. Cayce’s passing. While I did not know him personally, I had had some correspondence with him, and he gave me two readings last year. However, neither of them seemed to bring about the desired results… Could you look up some suggested helps for prostatic trouble? I have read There Is A River and I know how Mr. Cayce gave information as to the help and sometimes cure of different ailments, and you may be able to uncover something that will be of benefit to me along this line. That is my worst physical ailment; in fact about the only one, although my voice never has gained any strength…”
