This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 10th day of July, 1933, in accordance with request made by her husband, Dr. [589], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [371].

2. Now, as we find, the body-physical is very good in many respects. There are some conditions that are arising in the system that need attention, and unless precautions are taken concerning these we will find later there will be some distresses experienced by the body from neglect.

3. These, as we find, are the effects of poisons and infectious forces that are arising in the body. There are those specific conditions that are seen in the extremities, or feet, or toe, where there has been for some time an infection that is affecting the blood supply, and - with weakened conditions as in teeth and gums - the throat and the tissue in same are becoming involved. And, to be sure, the organs of elimination - as the liver, the spleen - suffer, when there are such inexhaustive forces, as it were, for the activities of the organs themselves in their normal function to cope with, or to create that which will counterbalance such conditions in the system, see?

4. Then, as we would find, it would be the better that first there be some measures taken for the clarifying, or generalizing and clarifying, of the conditions of the general system, then specific work or removal of the condition in foot, then there will be the necessity - afterward that some specific work, some specific precautions be taken, as to the teeth and the throat.

5. As we find, then, it would be preferable that there be a round of cathartics that would act not only as an eliminant but as a cathartic, see?

6. We would take, then, as this:

7. For two to three days take a tablespoonful each day of Milk of Magnesia.

8. Then, on the fourth day, take TWO Alophen tablets at once, see?

9. Then, on the second day or third day after that, we would have the toe nail cut out.

10. When the body begins to recuperate from this, we would then have an antiseptic as a gargle for the throat, and some local work done on the teeth, keeping up with the eliminants that will aid the system in gaining a balance in correcting the disturbances in the blood supply - as in this:

11. Be mindful that the diet does not consist of ANY meats, save at times a little fowl or fish. Then one meal each day should at least be of green vegetables, the other may be of cereals or stewed fruits or fresh fruits or the like, see? Then one meal of cooked vegetables, principally.

12. We would also take as these, as well as the proper adjustments along the whole of the spine; not any particular center, save the 4th and 5th dorsal center, see - but an alignment along the whole cerebrospinal system; and we take with it, this:

13. One day take a teaspoonful (at bedtime) of Milk of Magnesia. The next day a teaspoonful (taken in a glass of water) of Milk of Bismuth. The next day take a Charcoal Tablet, see?

14. Then, if necessary, a high enema occasionally.

15. These, we would find, would make for near normal conditions with this body, [371].

16. Ready for questions.

17. (Q) To whom should she go for this treatment for the ingrowing nail, or to have this removed? (A) Someone that is a good orthopedic surgeon, or one who makes a specialty of such - or a GOOD surgeon that may take care of the condition.

18. (Q) Is there a special one you would suggest? (A) Anyone that knows his business. The body should have more choice of this, than directing them to the body, save knowing that you have one in whom you have confidence and that knows his business.

We would preferably see one in Rocky Mount.

Also ask who she should go to about ingrown toenail on her right big toe, that is, if there is any surgical work to be done… Please give this rdg. as soon as possible… I feel there is something wrong with her that I don’t understand, and I know I will know what it is after getting the rdg.”
